My wife's favorite is the Portobello sandwich and she'll usually get it with the special soup out salad. We've never been disappointed. I remember being impressed the first time my husband I tried ginger's garden cafe. But that was a year ago and I hoped it would be as good as I thought. We went back today for lunch and I was right. This place is great. The food is so fresh, and delicious, and well presented. We're both vegan and it has some of best vegan food we've had in Utah. The atmosphere is wonderful also. The staff is friendly and the place just feels good. And I love browsing around the store. It's just a great all around place. I've eaten here since I was pregnant with my first, which would have been ten years ago. Fresh ingredients that trust. Pretty everything on the menu is delicious! My boyfriend & I travel a lot, been in Utah for about a week. This is our favorite place to have lunch, everything is delicious. I made the mistake of assuming that a hamburger would have meat on it, especially when the chicken sandwhiches actually have chicken here, but when i realized it didn't, it was as it was being served. I am by no means a regular. However I have been here many times. The Vegan nachos are more like supreme nachos but with veggies and are delicious. The Spicy Chik'n burger is also a very awesome light fare. If you want something warm on a cold day I'd recommend the cream of celery or the butternut squash soup with their toasted garlic oil focaccia wedges to dip. My favorite Non-vegan item is the Cajun Chicken sandwich with avocado. The portion of chicken is massive in comparison to many other restaurants. Add a ginger cashew smoothie and I'm as happy as ever. (I could eat this or the celery soup even on a sore throat day, it's that good.) All in all it is a grand place. Not one of my favorites, but a friendly atmosphere, good vibes and good food a plenty. (Just make sure to rein your kids in so others can enjoy the music, food and conversation.) read more

This is a vegetarian, herb store combo for salads, soup and sandwiches. Cute decor and friendly service. I had the mango chicken salad and my husband had chicken avocado sandwiches and homemade lemonade. All was fresh and tasty. You can browse the books and herbs while waiting. I stumbled upon Christopher's Herb Shoppe one day and decided to get lunch at Ginger's Garden Cafe. Oh my goodness, I need to go back! The food was delicious as well as gorgeous in presentation. And the best part was how healthy it was! I had the turkey avocado sandwich and it was divine. And don't even get me started on the lavender lemonade, I would drink it every day! The atmosphere is really clean, cute, and open, I really liked it.The only complaint I have is that the food was pricey and the portions were huge, I wish they had more half things. Went here for a brief lunch stop on a long road trip. It was easy to find and inviting and bright inside. I ordered a veggie sandwich and my dad ordered the turkey club. The sandwiches came with a choice of carrot sticks and ranch or a small salad. My food was great and the sandwich was stuffed full of sprouts and vegan mayo and other veggies. My salad had a tasty vinaigrette on mixed greens, tomatoes, and carrot shreds. His meal also looked good, although I didn't taste it (I'm vegan). I would definitely recommend this place to other travelers, particularly those that are vegan/vegetarian or in search of lighter fare. If you love fresh and real food then this place is great! As a bonus the atmosphere is very nice and is in a charming Victorian era shop. I love the attached herb shop, it's one of a kind and has a very rich family history which is too lengthy to describe here. If you are vegan or vegetarian then you are in for a real treat because many of the staff are as well, you will have plenty of great food to choose from which is rare in Utah county. Be prepared to pay for real food that doesn't ever compromise quality but I think it's well worth the price when you consider what you are eating, this is not diner or fast food. The menu is diverse. All the dishes are crafted artistically, uniquely and you won't be disappointed in the taste. I love my experience everytime I come. I love their up- cycled glass water bottles! They are all so nice and want you to feel the very best about what you eat, they make it with love for sure. I worked here for 2 years, and can personally attest to the quality. Everything is fresh, and well worth the money! It's really no more expensive than Village Inn, Denny's, or any other restaurant. The kitchen is so small, and there is never more than 3 people in it at a time. I still love the food, and go back and get the falafel frequently, and the veggie wrap mmmmmmm. Today I went into Gingers and ordered a veggie wrap to go, at 6:30pm. The woman at the counter took my order, and shortly after got on her phone and remained that way while I waited. I waited until 7:10 (which made me late for work) to ask the woman if they had forgotten about me, and my order. She re-asked for my name and looked over at the area where the cooks put the to-go food. It had been ready to go for who knows how long, while I continued to wait patiently. She handed over my order and un-genuinely apologized for the wait. This isn't the first time I've had lousy service at this establishment. I give this cafe two stars, because at least they have very kind and caring cooks who are sociable and make great food. But the people who work at the cash register are quite the opposite.
