Very clean and New York decor throughout the restaurant. I ordered a house salad and was expecting a much smaller portion. I couldn't finish it all. I loved that they use English cucumbers and not the regular ones. I like my salad crunchy not soggy. It looks like every pizza on the menu was ordered and there was a lot left over. Truffle fries, fried ravioli and mozzarella sticks were also ordered. I noticed the ravioli and cheese sticks were what everyone liked the most. Ma's nonna sauce was hands down the best item to hit the table. I'll dream of that sauce, ma! The salads were crisp, fresh and tasty. The dressing just missed the mark frankly. The fettuccine was properly cooked and great texture. The sauce was slightly thick and light on flavor. Don't order the chicken (the only thing that tasted of 'food service'). The rolls were a complete miss - thick, dense & lacking flavor. The zeppole were as heavy as the rolls & inconsistency was an issue. Overall you feel so welcomed and cared for that it's hard to NOT give 100 stars. And it was only our first visit. Haven't ordered from Gino's Italian Joint in about 8 or 9 months because of the super long wait times for takeout orders in the past. Decided to give it another shot tonight (Saturday). Called at 7pm to place an order, and they told me they were already out of pizza dough... and they close at 9pm. That's rough--especially on a weekend when you'd expect them to be stocked up and ready. Unfortunate for us (craving that NY-style pizza), and probably for them too since it means lost business. The pizza is usually solid when you can actually get it, so I'm not writing them off completely. Might try again??? but probably not. running out of dough that early is disappointing. I get that they make the pizza fresh, which takes time, but they use uber to deliver. While I understand that it's not Gino's fault that the Uber Eats person is slow, they choose to utilize 3rd party services, which affects their food, which arrived very cold. We heated up the pizza again in the oven, but it was not great. We've eaten at Gino's before, but dine in, and it was good (4/5 stars), but delivery is definitely not it. read more

I have very mixed feelings on this place. My boyfriend and I went for valentine's day and upon arrival we were informed that they were not taking walk-ins that day (we had no reservation). After informing us of this, they found a way to still get us in as another couple cancelled their reservation. I found this to be good service, but when we were sat at a table I was absolutely shocked at the size of it. It was the size of a small desk meant for one person! We were extremely crammed the entire dinner, especially because my boyfriend ordered a large pizza. The pizza was just okay, I felt it was quite thin. I ordered chicken alfredo pasta, which tasted good, but gave me a terrible stomach ache afterwards. Other than these factors the place was pretty cool. There was a saxophone player playing the whole time who was very skilled musically.
