Service was great, our server was attentive and all around great on a busy Saturday night. They have pictures on the walls of the family that owns the establishment. String lights adorn the ceiling, there's even a dessert room next door to order cannolis, gelato and more. The pizza was top notch, crust unbelievable crisp yet chewy, toppings were good. Some of the best pizza I've had in the Houston area hands down. Appetizers (calamari & mozzarella sticks) were delicious. Pizza was truly a 10/10- this is a must try. The bakery is also delicious- the Italian Cream Cupcakes were perfect. Customer service was AWESOME! I forgot our waiters name but he is the guy holding the pizza box. Im glad to see more options in the Richmond/Rosenberg area. Very clean and New York decor throughout the restaurant. I ordered a house salad and was expecting a much smaller portion. I couldn't finish it all. I loved that they use English cucumbers and not the regular ones. I like my salad crunchy not soggy. It looks like every pizza on the menu was ordered and there was a lot left over. Truffle fries, fried ravioli and mozzarella sticks were also ordered. I noticed the ravioli and cheese sticks were what everyone liked the most. We will most remember "Ma" - who is WONDERFUL- and her nonna's sauce. It was a very busy night so at times the concept here was better than the execution. Don't forget to get a reservation! This joint is jumping!! The pepperoni rolls were PERFECTION when you got a bite of all the fillings. But the way that the rolls were constructed made that a rare bite. Ma's nonna sauce was hands down the best item to hit the table. I'll dream of that sauce, ma! The salads were crisp, fresh and tasty. The dressing just missed the mark frankly. The fettuccine was properly cooked and great texture. The sauce was slightly thick and light on flavor. Don't order the chicken (the only thing that tasted of 'food service'). The rolls were a complete miss - thick, dense & lacking flavor. The zeppole were as heavy as the rolls & inconsistency was an issue. Overall you feel so welcomed and cared for that it's hard to NOT give 100 stars. And it was only our first visit. Haven't ordered from Gino's Italian Joint in about 8 or 9 months because of the super long wait times for takeout orders in the past. Decided to give it another shot tonight (Saturday). Called at 7pm to place an order, and they told me they were already out of pizza dough... and they close at 9pm. That's rough--especially on a weekend when you'd expect them to be stocked up and ready. Unfortunate for us (craving that NY-style pizza), and probably for them too since it means lost business. The pizza is usually solid when you can actually get it, so I'm not writing them off completely. Might try again??? but probably not. running out of dough that early is disappointing. Really good, FRESH pizza located in Richmond, TX! Definitely seems to be a local staple, and they have cute events once in a a while for the neighborhood. You could tell the pizza itself was made with fresh ingredients and made to order, which is definitely appreciated! Ordered Gino's last night for dinner, and it was very underwhelming. First of all, it was delivered very late, almost an hour and ten minutes after ordering, and I only live 5 miles away. I get that they make the pizza fresh, which takes time, but they use uber to deliver. While I understand that it's not Gino's fault that the Uber Eats person is slow, they choose to utilize 3rd party services, which affects their food, which arrived very cold. We heated up the pizza again in the oven, but it was not great. We've eaten at Gino's before, but dine in, and it was good (4/5 stars), but delivery is definitely not it. read more
