One of the things that I like about Jersey Mike's is that they are similarly priced to Subway these days - maybe slightly more - but the products are probably three or four times better. I normally love Jersey Mike's Subs. Today was not one of those days. I ordered the steak and cheese with lettuce, tomatoes, raw and cooked onions, banana peppers and jalapeño. When i get home it just has mayo, raw onions, jalapeños, and banana peppers. The cooked peppers and onions that normally come on the sandwich weren't there and the additional veggies were not there. I wish they would make the steak and cheese on the main line because then I would have seen that they didn't put the requested items on my sandwich. Anyway, I get home and ready to eat my sandwich only to discover the sandwich isn't right. I call up to the store and they ask me If I want to drive back up there to get another sandwich....no I do not want to drive 12 minutes back up there and another 12 minutes back home. They didn't offer to make it good and that was my problem. I asked them to please get my order correct in the future. That experience makes me not want to go back. I was so happy when this location got finished! Jersey Mike's is one of my favorite places to get a sub! It's so much better than Subway, to me. I'm not sure what it is but there's not a day of the week that a Jersey Mike's sub won't hit the spot. This location is located right off the toll, between the Whataburger and H‑E‑B. Improperly staffed, unable to handle business that comes in. Sandwiches take forever, they are made incorrectly and service is horrible. Going to a sub shop and asking for 20 sandwiches when no one is in the restaurant should not be overwhelming to any restaurant. It is for these people. This is the newest Jersey Mike's location in our area, and my entire family was thrilled to see one open up near us. My older son and I had the opportunity to dine-in this evening. Service - I'd give them 10 stars for service alone. When we walked in, we were greeted promptly. There was a customer in front of me, and a staff member told me that they would be with me soon. They were patient as we decided what to order. Our food was brought to our table with a smile. When I asked about WiFi, the young man was so polite when he told me the WiFi access. The best part - I noticed that every time a customer entered, all 3 of the staff greeted them with an almost harmonious "hello". Atmosphere - this is a fast food place, but everything was very clean. From the bathroom to the tables, to the floors. Food - my son and I both ordered the original Philly cheesesteak. Both of our sandwiches came out hot, and mine remained hot til the last bite. They also offer Agave Vanilla Cream Soda as part of their fountain drink options, and it's delicious. Overall, kudos to Jersey Mike's manager/training department for doing such an excellent job of training their employees. The Whataburger next door could use some training from these guys! read more

I must be hungry because I am writing this. I have eaten here before and I always order the exact same meal. Usually they get it correct. Sometimes the put cheese in when I tell them not too. (Personal problems with too much cheese in my diet). But they always fix it. When that happens. Today my issue was they don't answer the phone so I went in. (I get it. Busy). I walk in a couple of minutes later. Guess what not busy. They also tell me they aren't allowed to add turkey to the sandwich I always order. Not allowed. Seriously! Slow time, after 1 pm Saturday. Obvious that there was new crew training as they seemed awfully unsure. The head "guy" jumped in twice to solve register issues. Poor guy probably being over worked. Crew unsure of details of how or what to build the sandwiches ordered. Had to point out ingredients that were missed, needed or required. The person ahead of me seemed resigned to accept what came. Had to also give specific direction on " Mikes way". Results are acceptable as I didn't want to be an A hole. Better OTJT before line work would have help here. I am officially a jersey Mike's fan!! The location opened up near my house approximately six months ago. I first tried it because I received a coupon in the mail. Second time I've had an issue with this location. Its always dependent on who's working. Love eating the food but unfortunately, customer service is sometimes questionable. Ordered a giant chicken bacon ranch where the gentleman at the grill proceeds to make. Female employee who takes my order doesnt ask me what bread I want. I don't say anything because it isn't a deal breaker so I let them continue on. Next thing he does is he grabs a handful of lettuce and tomato and proceeds to bring it by the grill and makes my sandwich over there where I can barely see what hes doing. I ask the other employees why hes making my sandwich over there (which they don't answer) so now I'm yelling for him to stop because I need it cut a certain way and then he closes it up. I wanted onions on my sandwich but they never asked. When I confronted the employee who made my sandwich, he points to the menu and says this is what is on the sandwich and this is what you get. The other male employee tells me that, this is how they make this sandwich and his 1+ year experience as an employee of your company dictates that this is how they make this sandwich. Its equivalent to asking if the customer wants it Mike's way. Why ask if all you're offering is what's written on the menu above them?I get that some sandwiches aren't built that way but be more considerate. Yes, it was a hot sandwich but you had time to put the lettuce and tomato. Its bad enough that I was the only customer at that time and the other 2 employees had no answer. They did ask if i wanted the onions on the side. At that point I was annoyed and didnt want to bother having to deal with the people working at that time. This all could have been avoided if you just made the sandwich in front of me. Please train them to be more considerate with less attitude. If your company doesnt offer any of what I had issues with this time, write it on the menu or state it to the customer so they can understand what they're getting. It'll save alot of time and saliva. From my past experience, I didn't pay attention and I realized my Veggie sandwich included some tiny sliced meat from previous customer's order. The restaurant was conveniently located and the premises was very clean. The service was terrific, everyone was engaging and a pleasure to deal with. The sub I had, however, was not great. I asked for no "juice" but there was still juice in my sandwich. I was going to ask the manager, I believe his name was Jay, for some assistance. However, he was completely unapproachable. I was afraid I would be scolded for complaining about my sandwich so I decided not to bother. If I ever make a return, I hope there's a more approachable manager in store. read more
