After traveling to Japan last year, we were looking to find a taste of that experience -- and this place delivers. It was fun watching the video screen with views of Tokyo, Osaka, and other destinations. We started with the Vegetable Tempura appetizer: big chunks and slices of vegetables in a tasty fried tempura coating. Ginza is a great sushi and ramen place. The decor and vibe is very elegant, with their water glasses each displaying a mountain underneath. It was an almost boujie gimmick where the waiter pours hot water on this circular tab and it magically expands like a marshmallow to become a wet wipe. I hear their nigiri and sashimi is of great quality, but it's too expensive ($5-25/piece) for me to appreciate or try. Being new in town trying to find good food and so glad we stumbled upon this sushi restaurant!! They were very busy tonight but we weren't in any rush so we enjoyed our time! The ambiance was cute and loved the mascot Timmy, plus the service was so nice. Our server, Gracie, was very helpful and personable! The support staff were also helpful and attentive! We got the snow mountain roll, Salem roll, lemon tree roll, dragon roll and lion king roll. All were fantastic but would def get the lemon roll and lion king roll again! We had a great experience at Ginza Sushi & Ramen! The service was excellent. Everyone on the crew was extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. The restaurant has a very cozy vibe. The indoor dining area is on the smaller side with about seven tables, but the outdoor patio looks like it would be an amazing spot during the summer. We came mainly for the ramen and really enjoyed it. We also tried the Salem roll, and it was huge and very satisfying. While we didn't order traditional sushi this time, it looked very fresh, and the rice-to-fish ratio was perfect...not overloaded with rice like some places. Great food and even better service. Fantastic! We were just passing through and got lucky when we picked Ginza for lunch. The entire place had a laid back and relaxing feel -- definitely a welcome break from the road. The family was starving so we got a little bit from the whole menu. The teriyaki beef was delicious and tender. The black garlic tonkotsu ramen was packed with flavor and very satisfying. My youngest loved the fried rice -- it even came in a special bowl to keep it hot through the meal. My wife got a Golden California roll, which was also a winner. Definitely get a mango lemonade! There is an outside seating area that will be great in the summer. We hand 5 People and we were seated at a table for 4 with one seated at the end in the way. There was no room for our food. I ordered two hotate that was brought on two separate plates. It should have been both on one plate. The hotate was excellent! We ordered a sashimi platter and several rolls. I am so glad that I don't have to go to Portland anymore for good sushi. This is the best place in Salem for sushi and it's not even close. The Tonkotsu Chashu Ramen for $18 was filled with noodles and Chashu slices; could have just ordered the regular Tonkotsu ramen $13 and be satisfied and full. the ambiance is super cute but the food is a let down. the sushi pieces were humongous and the noodle to broth ratio was completely off, so if you want leftover i'd ask for more broth. the cucumber salad was refreshing but not too flavorful. the thai tea however i thought was phenomenal! also the server we had avalin i believe was extremely kind and attentive, she also recommend the thai tea which was a hit. overall great experience but not my cup of tea for food read more

When we first entered for lunch we were greeted and quickly escorted to our seats. Table set up was spacious and very nicely organized. Expandable towels were provided to clean our hands. For my main dish I ordered the medium spicy miso ramen and a side order of spicy California roll. The spicy miso ramen had a kick of spice which was good, I didn't really care for the broth itself since it tasted oily and thin compared to other ramen places. The California roll was good and flavorful, though I didn't really notice it being "spicy" .
