The restaurant is in a beautiful plaza, however compared to the plaza seemed a little outdated and small. The bathroom was really cool with rocks and plants. We all got bento boxes to try a little bit of everything, but the sushi just wasn't that impressive, maybe I need to go back and try more. Also highly recommend the mochi ice cream but I didn't get a picture.

We absolutely love Ginza. Quiet and delicious. We enjoyed everything we ate there. The best part is our server Jacob. He has excellent customer service and he is very attentive. Such a rare thing to have that someone who is as kind as he is. This is our go to sushi spot!

I recently came here for sushi and I ordered an off menu custom sushi roll called the Asama roll. It's actually tempura fried. The atmosphere is very nice and cozy. Kind of a modern Japanese restaurant. The service was good and the food was also exceptional. I'd recommend this place for some great sushi.

Best quality sushi in Tucson! Honestly I was losing hope on finding a quality Japanese restaurant in Tucson but came here based off a friend's recommendation and was pleasantly surprised! I was shocked how busy this place was on a Thursday night - luckily there were a few seats open at the bar- otherwise we would've had to wait almost 30 minutes! It's a great place for a group, family , date or solo eating. The chirashi bowl had great quality fish and was overall delicious. I enjoyed my lychee martini as well! The sushi boats looked amazing and I definitely want to try next time. I gotta say the prices are pretty steep compared to other sushi spots and similar dishes in other cities, but I haven't found quality that matches this in the area so it's worth it.

We came here because our favorite spot was closed for the week- it was bustling but we were seated right away and the server was very attentive. My companion appreciated a high-quality ginger beer while I stuck with water. We got seaweed salad and a few pieces of sushi and both were delicious. The restrooms were also oddly lovely with piles of river rocks in the corners giving a serene feel to the place. I was a bit stunned though by the cost (and before you tell me that good sushi HAS to be expensive- I have to politely disagree). I would definitely come again, but would stick to a snack rather than satisfying a fully empty belly.

Absolute great find! Our first time here, we were wondering if we should make a reservation, but we didn't get a chance to...we walked in before 6 pm. We were just lucky to get seated right away. Love the accommodation. Our server was very friendly; since he knew it was our first time, he took his time to give us a little briefing on their menu. It is a small place and they can get really busy, so I would recommend making a reservation. I love the fact that the sushi chefs are Japanese, which makes this place authentic. And we loved everything we had. No complaints here. I love the location, although it was quite a drive for us. This is now one of my favorite Japanese restaurants!

The service and ambiance here is divine! We thoroughly enjoyed our collection of Special rolls! This is the perfect date night spot, with the prices being right around what we expected for a fancier sushi restaurant. The salmon toro was also delicious! Can't wait to come back!

We were staying up the hill at the Loews Ventana resort and did not want to drive anywhere so we took their shuttle and chose Ginza out of all the hotel recommendations. We called ahead and they did not have reservations but were told we would be able to get a table if we arrived soon after opening. When we arrived there were only a few spots open at the Sushi bar and no tables. Packed full house within an hour after they opened and we quickly understood why. Everything we ordered was really good! I got the ramen, best I have had in a good while. Service, cleanliness and vibes all on point!

Ginza is always the sushi restaurant I suggest when anyone asks for delicious sushi! But it had been a couple years since I had visited and I forgot how incredibly delicious everything is! To start, their miso soup is gluten free and so flavorful and delicious! Their staff is very knowledgeable about what is gluten free and what can be made gluten free. And there are SO many options! They are able to swap real crab instead of the fake crab to make rolls gluten free. Everything as beyond delicious, the staff was so helpful and friendly and the ambiance is pretty and calm. We went early (5:00), no wait. But it was full by 5:30. Can't wait to go back soon!

I have been to several sushi locations in Tucson and have this to be one of the best. Service was excellent. It's very busy and would suggest reservations. Good was phenomenal.

Prices. Slightly higher on some things, but not crazy.

Outstanding food quality but lackluster service. We had dirty plates in front of us and seldom water refills. Saturday night, 7pm ish. We were offered a seat on the patio, but the heater wouldn't work so they moved us to the sushi bar. They were friendly and accommodating for that process. We didn't have to wait long, even though the restaurant was pretty full. The prices were on par with, or just slightly higher than pretty much any higher end sushi bar. The Omakase sashimi for $105 was delicious. It had lots of very fresh and unique options in there. I would say this is definitely a place to come for the nigiri or the sashimi rather than the rolls. This place leans more towards authentic side for sure. A hamachi hand roll for $9 is a little expensive, but it was soo delicious, so there is decent value there. Miso soup for $4 is way steep. Most traditional sushi bars will just give it to you. I just wish the service was a little more attentive. My wife was angry that she had dirty plates in front of her. When in Tucson again, we will probably try this one again.

We came here for dinner tonight (a thursday) and the restaurant was full. I recommend making a reservation. We ordered the 911 roll without siracha and they misunderstood and removed all spice (no spicy tuna on top, only regular tuna) and then it was very plain. We tried to build our own roll by using the mango roll as a base and adding both cream cheese inside and adding pieces of salmon, maguro and yellowtail on top of it. They put the mango inside so it was only small pieces of mango and you couldn't really taste it over the cream cheese and the fish. So maybe next time, no cream cheese and bigger pieces of mango(like a big piece of mango on the top and the fish on top of that). The octopus sunomono salad was ok. I didn't like the sweet cucumber it was on and the octopus was pretty chewy. The Ceviche roll ordered as is was good. I really liked the maguro, scallops and uni nigiri. The Hakkaisan sake was decent but a bit too warm. Next time I need to remember to order a chef's choice roll.

This was not what we expected but the staff was friendly and 1/2 patrons at the food hall were eating sushi. The stalls have big energy today and lots of patrons are searching for a seat. Why not give them a chance? The menu is fairly varied for a small pop-up with traditional and deep fried sushi rolls. The female wait staff is handing out egg drop soup samples to everyone, ever those eating pizza and gyros. Looking around, these rolls are huge. We chose the Sonoran roll with shrimp tempora, spicy tuna, spicy crab topped with seared salmon and yuzu sauce. This roll was flavorful and spicy. Another roll was the Samurai with shrimp tempora, cream cheese, avacado wrapped in soy paper deep fried and covered with spicy crab / shrimp mix baked in a spicy aioli and eel sauce. This was our favorite roll with a pop in the tempora shrimp and an uncious taste coupled with a bite. Our third and final roll was the heart attack. Another spicy roll with shrimp tempora, avacado, cream cheese topped with jalepeno, spicy crab and chef sauce. Again, another good roll and a ton of food. This food mall is in an unassuming neighborhood with a smiling server who is hustling like crazy. The sushi was good, unique and tasty. It was a huge amount of food. Give this hard working staff and chance, she is enthusiastic and working hard. To the staff at Samurai Sombrero who are working hard and obviously, not a trained sushi chef. To the public, take a chance, give Samurai Sombrero a try and judge for yourself.

The menu seems a bit more fusion than traditional but a good balance of pushing boundaries without trying too hard. We made a reservation for lunch on a Sunday but were only one of three parties. Walked in, immediately greeted and sat at the bar, our request. The hostess also our cocktail and beer server. Hubby had a delicious clarified cocktail which was absolutely yummy but at $18 a pop for a good four drinks and it's gone cocktail, ok. I know they take time to make. I had a $10 Sapporo draft. We then ordered two pork Bao Buns, two sushi rolls, the Shiro Maki and the Tataki Maki. Both really good, really well rolled, not an abundance of rice either. I am obsessed with Ramen, I decided to order the house Ramen, the Obon, without the Bonito flakes because I'm not a fan. Looked good when it came, I just wasn't happy with it. It lacked something, umami, a well developed broth, who knows, I just know it wasn't what I normally like. It gave me heartburn from hell too. Overall, $150 later I left somewhat dissatisfied and disappointed. For a Sunday, at noon, four tables worth of patrons. Not loud, not super quiet, nice ambiance. I doubt that I'll go back, if we do, it will be for their $22 rolls of sushi.
