There was an immediate bum rush to the front, and somehow two separate lines were allowed to form with no explanation or enforcement. Security did nothing to control the crowd or restore order. People were openly cutting the line, and individuals who had already purchased shoes were allowed to get back in line and buy multiple pairs. During this chaos, I personally witnessed someone get robbed of the newly released shoes they had just purchased. The environment felt extremely unsafe. Several people appeared to be carrying weapons, which made it intimidating and dangerous to speak up when others were cutting the line. A shoe release should never put customers at risk or create a situation where theft can happen right in front of staff and security. This event was completely unorganized and poorly managed. If this business plans to host high-demand releases, they need clear rules, proper crowd control, and active security. I will not be attending another release like this unless major changes are made.

Looking around for an employee for a few minutes I grabbed the shoe and went to the counter. I was met by several different people mid way back of the store asking if I needed this shoe. I don't see why all employees are in the back of the store when the majority of people are in the front? I requested my shoe from a friendly associate she went to get the shoes. About 10 minutes later she came out of the back with a Nike in her hand and she saw me and said she'd go back and get the shoe. Okay, but why. I got the shoes. I went to the register and had already realized the $10 price difference in the shoes online retailer Uggs.com, and Macy's which were $10 less then Footlocker. Since it's the Holiday season and I was in a hurry I didn't want to walk all the way through the mall to Macy's. I figured Footlocker would be competitively priced, nope. Also, at the register I asked if they price matched and the person checking me out was polite and said they'd have to get a manager to find out. I didn't want to cause a scene as being a troubling customer so I told them to disregard that. I believe it could have been possibe for this Footlocker to get five stars. I told him I was here for the VIP 8:30 AM event. He had no idea. He had to bring the manager to talk to me. She apologized and said that they're renovating and closed. Poor management for having construction during a VIP event. I was really upset because I got up early to shop to beat the hot weather. I noticed a few other customers showed up as well. The store didn't have any sign saying that they're doing construction during their VIP event. Shame on management. They need to read their emails from their corporate office.
