The seating was fast and the employees were nice. The inside was pretty basic for a sit-down restaurant. However, it took almost an hour for us to receive our pizza. We ordered the traditional cheese deep dish pizza. The pizza itself was okay, very cheesy, came out hot, and was pretty filling. It did end up making us feel a little sick afterward.
An Uber driver who lives in Chicago recommended here and told me this is one of the places the locals go, so of course I had to try it! When I walked by, it was very crowded, loud, and busy with a line going down the street. I decided to place my order online instead, but here's something you definitely need to know: ordering online does NOT mean your deep-dish pizza will be ready quickly.Mine took about an hour and 15 minutes which I was told is pretty normal because deep-dish takes a while to make. I had my little stool with me, so I sat outside, took some pictures, and did some people-watching while I waited. There is some street parking, but there's a large building across the street that looks like apartments or possibly a hotel, so parking wasn't the easiest. They have a little To Go area where you can grab drinks and other items. I also bought a couple of their frozen deep-dish pizzas to take home and I'm glad I did! I baked one at 350° for about 40 minutes and it came out gooey, gooey, CHEEZY Iwould've liked a little more meat on it, but it was still good. They ship also. I also ordered a small/personal deep-dish pizza while I was there. By the time I ate it, it wasn't as warm as I would've liked, and I'm one of those people who does NOT like cold pizzaI know some people love it, but that's not me! So if you're like me, I recommend eating yours as soon as you pick it up from the counter while it's still hot. I ordered a soda. Total about $75 If you plan to dine in, give yourself plenty of timeThis place is very popular and the line can get LONG. Overall, the pizza wasn't bad, and I would definitely go back and try something different next time. The frozen pizza I brought home and baked fresh was actually one of my favorite parts!
Very crowded when we got to this location, same as most locations. Ha ha got our names on the list was got seated within 5 minutes. Guess great timing on our part. Ordered the deep dish, wings and a shareable salad for 4. Salad comes out and it's just a bit larger than a side salad. When we question this the waitress said this was shareable. Even though we saw people with a lot larger salads. Mild annoyance, considering the star of the show was the deep dish, which didn't disappoint. We got the meat lovers and it was just what we needed. Highly recommend!!
Deep dish pizza is a must-try according to many who have visited Chicago. When I first visited Chicago years ago my experience with DDP was great. It was a very filling and delicious experience. This visit to Giordano's was okay. The first thing that stands out was how poor the service was. Our server was not particularly quick, friendly, or caring. He wasn't devoid of attempting to do his job, but he wasn't good either. The ambiance is busy. Folks love pizza and this location in summer is busy. Our wait for a table for three was quoted as 20 minutes but we were seated quicker. We actually waited for our server longer than it took to get seated. The bathrooms were clean and seemed well maintained. The pizza we ordered was a deep dish pepperoni. I found our pizza good but slightly disappointing in that it came out slightly cold. The crust was great as a breadstick after eating the saucy and cheesy part. We also ordered a salad that was okay. All in all, I probably wouldn't come back considering the service and price, but I do acknowledge that deep dish pizza should be tried and Giordano's still makes a good one.
Perhaps my taste has changed a lot. This is my first time here. I've tried their competitor the LM pizzeria and I thought it was excellent, but then again this was years ago. I expected the crust to be crispy. Instead, it was just kind of hard. They do definitely heavily cheese this pizza and the marinara was excellent Service was good and we got a small that probably could've easily fed three people with a side salad. This place was packed. Is it overhyped? Perhaps maybe. But either way I guess I'm glad I tried it. I'm not sure that I would come back because maybe I don't like Chicago deep dish as much as I thought I did.
Chicago deep dish pizza didn't disappoint. We shared a margherita and a classic pizza. Started with a family size Cesar salad, which was plenty for four people. The wait was about 20 minutes on a Monday night for dinner. Our waiter was as attentive as he could be for a busy restaurant. Be prepared to wait at least an hour for pizza and put your pizza order in first. The photographers are the only reason for a four star review. We bought two photos and he explained that this line down the right side of the photo was a watermark. We asked if we purchase the photos that the watermark would be removed. He said no. That's not normal. Why would you buy a photo with a watermark? He ended up giving us all the photos but I'm not sure he understood the purpose of a watermark on a photo.
We went to Giordano's in Chicago and ordered the deep dish pizza. We were really excited to try an iconic Chicago spot, but the experience was pretty disappointing. It took about 45 minutes for the pizza to come out, which we expected given deep dish, but when it finally arrived it wasn't even warm. The whole thing felt like it had been sitting out or didn't finish cooking evenly. The bruschetta was fine but nothing special. Service was fine and the restaurant itself has a nice casual, tourist-friendly vibe, but the food just didn't live up to the reputation for us this time. Maybe it was an off day, but for something that's supposed to be a Chicago staple, it missed the mark. Not sure I'd go back, especially with so many other pizza options in the city.
This is going to be a 100% mixed review. To start off I will be 100% honest, the food there was good, the service was good, the reason for the rating has to deal with a mobility scooter. Right now thanks to a broken hip I need to use a mobility scooter. When we were looking for a place to eat and saw that Giordano's is ADA compliant. Great, let's go. Now here's where the story takes a downward turn. When we walked in and they saw the scooter, the hostess led us to our table-we took a "journey" through their wash area, their prep area and their kitchen and then to our table. After we enjoyed our meal, which like I said was very good. We paid our bill and left. My wife said you know who knows what could've been on the wheels as we went through their kitchen and wash area and could have been transmitted to the open food in the area. That is the reason for the rating.
We were looking for a place near our hotel for Chicago deep dish pizza and went to Giordano's nearby. The place was hopping - so busy - but we were seated quickly. Our server was very attentive and helpful throughout dinner. Although we went for pizza, the pastas looked amazing so we tried the lasagna and the rigatoni with bolognese sauce - both quite good! The red sauce is amazing - so flavorful! Wine selection was ok. Only drawback was it was pretty loud so hard to have a conversation.
I went to Giordano's for a chill late-night dinner with a group of friends. Note that, signs indicate to only enter this location from the curbside, as the pretty patio-side in the plaza area is not an entry. So, from the curbside entry, there is a waiting room with benches on the left and right side, and a greeting desk ahead in the center. When called, we ascended on the far left and entered the dining area. It was quite busy. We were shown a table and took our seats. We chose a classic deep dish pie and a gluten free pizza - all to share. We also ordered an Italian salad to share. Highly recommend the Italian salad. It is a chopped salad and highly flavorful and fresh. This is the first item delivered to our table. They offer a thin 12 inch GF crust, and we always try GF when available. The menu indicated that several sauces are GF. I can happily report that the pizza was quite enjoyable. The toppings were fresh and generous. The edges were crisp but the rest was soft while also not getting too mushy. The deep dish was the final food arrival at our table. The menu and waitstaff are clear about it taking around 40 minutes for the deep dish to cook. The wait was totally worth it. Also note, the 10 inch may sound small, but it's unlikely that many people would want to eat more than two slices of this at a sitting - the slices are like two inches thick! Because we had already shared salad and GF pizza - we had a lot of leftovers. Totally worth it. Now, the one hitch here - the womens restroom was beyond atrocious. I mean, diapers, pads, paper, and debris piled up and overflowing from every tiny trash bin in every stall - Add to that non- flushed messes and more mess on the fixtures and floors - And an empty paper towel dispenser. Frankly, they need a big trash barrel in there- the volume of diapers alone was too large for the available recepticals. Clearly, many menstruating folks are trying to dispose of used products, and if the teeny tiny stall mounted trash pockets are stuffed with diapers and other used items... Well. Reader, you likely see where the his is going... I cannot even fathom the reason for the rest of the mess. So, restroom hard no. Generally - if you have a business that encounters a large number of stroller folks- expect related mess and account for it. Especially in busy Chicago where strollers are obnoxiously present everywhere - just read the room!
Our very first restaurant that we visited on our trip to Chicago on 6/17-6/22/26 was to Giordano's! We wanted that real Chicago style experience by ordering their famous deep dish pizza. We were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed in the lobby by Orlando, the manager, who escorted us on a tour of this huge, friendly, photo-op ready, Italian restaurant filled with happy guests and good loud music. He seated us at a very comfy leather booth in the middle with an optimum view of the place. The wonderful pizza aroma was floating around us. My daughter and I were then introduced to our server, Bram, who went above and beyond to make our evening unforgettable and fun! He had great suggestions for us: start with the Mozzarella Triangles with marinara sauce. Those were amazingly delicious without being heavy and filling us up before we got to eat the deep dish pizza. We ordered ice water to keep the calories down but they have a great bar. Bram asked what size pizza we wanted and showed us each size. We chose small, which was a large to us when we saw it. They are generous here with their portions. We decided to split the pizza toppings half and half. I wanted sausage, mushrooms, and black olives for my toppings and my daughter chose Canadian bacon and pineapple. It would take 45 minutes to bake. In the meantime, we looked around this fascinating place to see what it was all about. It was amazing and we plan a return trip to Chicago in the near future so we will be back to see Orlando & Bram and have that pizza again. When Bram brought our pizza to our table, we were amazed at how large our pizza was and how delicious it smelled. Then he did their famous Cheese Pull at our table. We were ready to take pictures! It was the best looking deep dish pizza I had ever seen. That first bite was absolutely delicious! We had the biggest smiles on our faces. It was so much fun to dine here! We were only able to barely eat half of the pizza as it was so rich. We took the rest to our hotel room. Thank you, Orlando & Bram, for your congeniality! Tips: There are stairs to the second floor and an easy to walk or use a wheelchair ramp. This is an older building so no elevator. The staff are ready to help you if necessary. I believe there was a parking lot next door. We ubered so I didn't notice. The music is loud and happy but you can hold a conversation. The prices are reasonable, which is so nice to see nowadays. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very clean with old school decor and vibe. Enjoy!
I stop here EVERY time I come. Thee absolute best pizza ever. Crust and bottom remain crispy and buttery. The sauce isn't acidic, cheese is perfect. The service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

First-timers to the Windy City. The food and I mean the cheese pull is amazing. Service was great. Staff was really nice and the noise level was loud from all the conversations pertaining to the pizza and was welcomed. Definitely coming back. read more
Known as a staple (or maybe a tourist attraction) but I definitely feel like there are other, maybe local / independent spots that have better pizza. But as someone not from Chicago, this is the first time I've tried it so take my opinion with a grain of salt. We got the Chicago classic, which had too much cheese for my liking, not enough filling (veggies / pepperoni) or sauce. The crust felt like it was reheated from frozen. That said, we ate the whole thing and were satisfied, but won't crave deep dish for a while now. read more

When we walked out, there was a line outside with a wait, as expected. The host was standing outside in which we walked to and requested a party for six people. While waiting, it was suggested we walk inside and pre-order our pizzas with the hostess located inside. Surprisingly the weight was not long. The seating area is much larger than what it appears to be from the outside. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly. We ordered their most popular pizzas which included the meat lovers. It was our first time eating a deep dish pizza, and we learned that the crust is not thicker. It is that all of the toppings are located underneath the sauce. I could only eat one slice and only one other person at the table could eat too. We had a lot of leftover pizza. The atmosphere is on the loud side, no outdoor seating was being sad at, and the restaurant was clean. read more
I visited Chicago for the first time last week and had to try Chicago's deep dish pizza. My brother ate here and recommended it. Apparently, this place serves stuffed deep dish (extra layer of dough), which is different from deep dish. Before researching about it, I didn't even know there was a difference. The place was huge! We came late in the evening so there wasn't a wait at all to be seated. I'm glad because we didn't know that the deep dish would take 40-45 minutes to bake. We had two little boys with us, so they would have been super cranky if we had to wait longer. The hostess didn't give us any crayons or coloring paper. So after finding out about the wait, we asked a waiter if they had any, and I'm so glad they did! That helped keep the boys occupied during the wait. Man, I don't know how ya'll Chicagoans can pay $40 for a pizza. It's so expensive! The pizza was pretty good with good flavor. I don't think you can really mess up pizza, though. I'm not sure what I expected, but I was expecting more. Perhaps, more butter or seasoning on the crust. The texture was different because it was more on the doughy side with lots of ooey gooey cheese, which I didn't mind at all and actually enjoyed. It also sort of felt like eating two pizzas at the same time. The service was good, though. During the 40 minute wait for the pizza, you may feel forgotten since there isn't really a need for the waiter to check on you. However, our waiter was nice and friendly the times he did stop by. He even gave us a heads up when the pizza was almost ready, which was nice. Also, big thank you to the waiter for making my boys' birthday dinner special by giving them small scoops of ice cream. We were in Chicago visiting Millennium park on a Monday and planned to have deep dish pizza for dinner. We got to the restaurant around 5:45pm and needed a table for 4. It was already very busy. There was the option to order deep dish pizza ahead of time while you wait for a table so we did that. We ordered two deep dish pizzas. It took about an hour for us to get seated. We ordered two kids meal chicken fingers and fries. Vibe was nice and relaxing. It was nice that they had some colouring pages and activities for kids to do. The kids meal came first after waiting for about 45 minutes then it took another 35 minutes for the pizza. Deep dish was very filling - very cheesy. Portions were huge, we had some leftovers to take with us. The food was delicious and we loved it. The only downside is obviously the wait even on a weeknight. This place is definitely worth the hype in my opinion but just be prepared to spend a lot of time waiting. read more

I was visiting from out of town, and several people recommended that I try Giordano's for authentic Chicago deep dish pizza -- and it did not disappoint! I ordered a small stuffed double meat deep dish, and it was absolutely delicious. The crust was buttery and crisp, the cheese perfectly gooey, and every bite was packed with flavor. The small size was more than enough to share for two people. Food: The deep dish pizza here is everything you'd hope for -- rich, hearty, and full of that true Chicago flavor. Yeah, I know Giordano's is a touristy pizza chain, but honestly? It's still good. I'm not usually a deep dish person, but when you're in Chicago, it kind of feels like a requirement. The pizza here is seriously deep and so cheesy. What's not to like? I can barely get through two slices, but that doesn't stop me from trying. We also ordered the Italian beef arancini balls to snack on while we waited. They were fine. Not amazing, but they did the job. The space itself is huge and loud, with a pretty fast turnover. Lots of big groups, loud clanking dishes, crying babies, all of it. Definitely not the place to go if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing meal. But if you want to check that Chicago deep dish box, this spot gets the job done. It's a Chicago staple for a reason! read more
We finally got to try authentic Chicago deep dish pizza for the first time -- and wow, the pizzas were top notch! We ordered the classic Chicago style, and it was absolutely delicious. There was a bit of a wait to be seated, but it's encouraged to order your pizza ahead of time since it takes a while to bake, which I actually appreciated once I realized how long it takes to make that cheesy perfection. Now for the downside -- the staff and cleanliness. The service was not very attentive; we had to flag someone down every time we needed something. And the restrooms... yikes. My husband said the men's restroom was in pretty bad shape, and while the women's wasn't as bad, it was still dirty with paper towels and toilet paper all over the floor -- and both soap dispensers were basically empty. So while the pizza was amazing and definitely worth trying at least once, the restaurant could seriously step up its cleanliness and service. read more

Coming to Chicago for vacation, the first thing I think about is "I need to try their deep dish pizza while I'm here." My family and I decided to try Giordano's, and walking in was pretty hectic! Luckily, we didn't have to wait long to get a table, and there's also a lot of seating indoor and outdoor. We did have to wait around 45 minutes to get our pizza, but nonetheless, the wait was worth it. The pizza was absolutely delicious! In my opinion, the 6" pizza was the perfect size for my family. If I ever come visit again, I would definitely come back! read more
A Chicago classic! And that's exactly what we ordered! Giordano's is a deep dish pizza institution in the city. Definitely come here for the real deal - the pizzas are huge and cheesy, and they come out piping hot. The Chicago classic was a great one to try out. I recommend to fans of deluxe pizza. A quick tip if you're travelling - if you're packing it for the airport let the server know and they won't slice it. A must visit when visiting Chicago! read more

there wasnt a wait when we visited on a tuesday night. the restaurants kinda huge and it was super cozy on a december night. lots of seating that are spread out, so there is some privacy for each party. we waited 45min for the pizza and my biggest regret is that we ordered a small,,, like it was essentially a kids meal and i wish we ordered a larger size esp for the wait. we also ordered some garlic parmesan fries (came w ranch) bc we didnt want to wait another 45min for another pizza, but the fries were super crispy and crunchy. id def come again to try their tavern style pizza + more of their items !! a must visit if you're in chicago tbh read more

Walked in on a Thursday night to order a take out pizza. People at the counter were really friendly and gave us some recommendations on what to do while we waited about an hour for our small pizza. Have had giordano's many times, and this one was a little disappointing - we ordered double pepperoni and green peppers, and the toppings were a little lacking. And even though we picked it up the second it was ready and ate it right away, it was a bit cold and the cheese was coagulated and not melty. Still good, but could be better! read more
Oh where to begin... Our experience at Giordano's is marked by good service, a nice setting, and food we just didn't enjoy. We arrived and were put on the waitlist as it is typically very busy at any given location. We waited in the interior area, which was clean, and preordered our pizza before we eventually sat. The place is clean but don't drive here expecting to find parking anywhere nearby. The wait ended up being shorter than we expected and we were seated about 20 minutes into our 30 minute wait time. When we were taken to the dining room it felt pretty nice. Good tables and seating with a lot of TVs lining the walls and showing games. As mentioned before, we preordered our pizza which significantly cut down the amount of time it takes for it to arrive but it still took about 30 minutes of us being seated before it arrived. When it did arrive it was hot and fresh and we couldn't wait to dive in. We got a deep dish in the largest size they had with pepperoni as our topping of choice. How did it taste? Well, let's just say it wasn't for us. It's hard to blame Giordano's for making a style of something we don't like because it's like going out for sushi if you hate sushi. The pizza was very thick and doughy, expected of a deep dish pizza. We weren't fans of that or the fact the pepperoni was hard to taste as it was buried and layered under everything. The sauce was the biggest highlight of the pie, but to be honest this just isn't the style for us. We much prefer thin crust style pizza. We still think anyone in Chicago should come and try deep dish pizza because it's a city staple, it's just that personally we wouldn't do it again if we had the choice. read more
Giordano's has earned a solid reputation as one of Chicago's best pizza spots and it's honestly hard to argue against that. We tried the Chicago Classic deep dish pizza and it was phenomenal. This place is loud and crowded but it is worth the wait. Their deep dish pizza is an absolute delicious cheesy beast. It was well balanced, well seasoned and piping hot out of the oven. We also tried their fried calamari and their boneless wings with the spicy honey sauce. Both appetizers were good. Overall, I rate this place a 4.5 out of 5 stars . It is definitely worth trying if you are visiting Chicago for the first time. read more
Right in the heart of tourist area, this place is massive and packed. They translate the traditional look into an open restaurant you can see from the streets. Filled to the brim with hungry tourists. We started with the calamari appetizer since the pizza was 45 minutes wait. It was decent. My son ordered the meat with extra meat deep dish. It was absolutely delicious but I could only eat one slice. We shared a small and took half to go. My son is a big fan. read more

I had about 24 hours in Chicago, and how can I visit Chicago without trying the Chicago Pizza? I looked on yelp for the closest pizza place to my hotel, and Giordano's came up. I got there and there was about 15 people in front of me in line. The hostess was really nice and because I was there by myself, she called up to the bar to see if there was any seats at the bar so I didn't have to wait. I found out that Chicago style pizza takes about 45 minutes to cook, but I was willing to wait. After about an hour I asked where the pizza was, and they said "we lost it". Although I was disappointed that I had waited so long , they were accommodating and apologetic, and took ownership, which I really respected and appreciated. They said they could get me another pizza quicker than 45 minutes, so in total I waited about an hour and a half. They asked me if there's any appetizers I wanted for free or drinks and because I didn't wanna fill up before my pizza and I had already had a salad , I declined. The pizza came out and it was absolutely delicious. Was it worth the wait? Because I didn't have anything else that evening for a while that I needed to do, it was worth it. If I had been in a rush, it would've been a different story. The hostess, the bartender/waiter and the manager were all very nice and attentive. I had a great time at the bar socializing with people from different parts of the country. I would definitely recommend Giordano's. read more

The pizza was good! I understand the hype. We got the Chicago Classic. The cheese was thick and delicious. I did expect the sauce to be a little more robust or a thicker layer, but it was still really good. We also had an order of boneless wings - half buffalo half chilli honey. Those were good too. Service was fine. The process was a little chaotic upon arrival at this location. The line was out the door, but moved fast. If you want to dine in, you put your name on a waitlist outside. We were instructed that the wait for a table would be 25 minutes, but it takes about an hour for a pizza so put your order in at the counter. We did, then the line kept going. Do sit and wait? Do they call us since we gave our phone number or do we follow the line? They told us they'd call us, but I decided to just follow the line. Glad I did. Within a couple of minutes I reached the host, gave her my name and we were seated right away. Wings came out pretty fast. Our waitress, Max, was friendly and attentive - so was everyone else. Overall, I'd go back! Maybe during a non-peak time of the day or year (when it's less packed).. but glad I went. I wouldn't dare leave Chicago without trying Giordano's. read more

While this is my first review of Giordano's, this is technically not my first time trying it! I first tried deep dish pizza at Giordano's 4 years ago and for some reason wasn't a fan, but I decided to try it again while I was in the city. Friends and I arrived an hour before noon, just before the lunch rush. I'm glad we did because when we ordered the small margarita deep dish pizza, we were told that it would take around 45min to get our food! I think this is quite typical so make sure to arrive at the restaurant with ample time planned. We got our pizza pipping hot and it was soooo good! It was exactly what you would expect of a deep dish, tons of cheese and the marinara sauce is tasty (not tasting homemade but delicious nonetheless). We split the small pizza amongst 3 people and were happy with the portion size and cost per-person! The ambiance of the restaurant is clean and nice as well. Good Deep Dish Pizza, lots of flavor, buffalo chicken wings were average. Service was good, friendly and timely. Restaurant is huge so it feels a lot like pushing the cattle through. This place is PACKED. There are so many Giordano's in Chicago, but we picked the one with the best ratings. We went at 3 p.m., and even then there was still a line. We were told it would be a 25-minute wait, but we ended up sitting at the bar, which had no wait time. Of course, we came here to try their deep dish since we had gone to Lou Malnati's the day before. The deep dish takes 45-50 minutes, which we were told when ordering, so no surprises there. We ordered the Meat and More Meat deep dish, and I liked that they offered to serve us each slice--of course, we said yes. The pizza itself is heavy, really heavy. It's exactly what you'd expect from a deep dish: loads of cheese and a thick crust. To be honest, I'm more of a thin-crust person, so this wasn't for me. It felt like a puddle of cheese on top of dense dough. The sauce was tasty and the meat was good, but overall I thought Lou Malnati's was better. That said, it really comes down to personal preference. I don't enjoy dishes that are overly heavy, and I don't enjoy waiting nearly an hour for food. So for me, Giordano's is probably a one-and-done. read more

I didn't think pizza could disappoint me but frozen digornios is SO MUCH BETTER than this? My homemade pizza is way better than this. We got the tavern style, which I so DONT recommend? It was straight up cardboard crust? You shouldn't even have it on the menu as an option if it's gonna be this bad. but the frozen chile mango margarita was good? Not strong at all? But good and sweet! Will definitely not be back! My mom couldn't even finish the crush and just started eating the toppings/cheese/sauce instead. read more

I don't normally like deep dish pizza, so I wasn't expecting to like it here. I am visiting Chicago though, so it's a must-have. I researched on social media for local recommendations, and this chain is supposed to be the best for deep dish, hands down! I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it! We ordered the Classic Chicago. It's gooey with cheese and has delicious sauce and fillings. I even liked the crust, and I don't normally like the crust on a thin crust. The crust is kind of sweet and not dry or tough. I'm glad I got to try a real deep dish pizza and loved it! Oh! I forgot we also ordered calamari to start. That was also really good! It tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly, not chewy or tough. There are deep fried lemon pieces included, which actually tasted pretty good when eaten with the calamari. By itself, it's bitter from the rind. The line was long, but the wait was only 25 minutes. We got in sooner than that. I didn't realize we could place our order while waiting for our table so we wouldn't have to wait the full 45-50 minutes. Nonetheless, it was a pleasant experience and highly recommend! read more

I've spent my whole life thinking I didn't like deep dish pizza. Too much bread, too much sauce, blah blah blah. I was wrong. I've just had bad deep dish pizza and Giordano's is the opposite of that. WOW. The sauce is amazing; the cheese is serving pulls on pulls; the meatballs were buried strategically throughout the dish. The salt levels were perfect, the service was quick and pulled out a PIPING HOT dish, friendly and delicious and everything I hoped a Chicago pizza would be. 10/10, no notes. read more

This place lives up to its name. It's been around for as long as I've heard of deep dish pizza. In Chicago this was the place to go. We ordered a Chicago style pepperoni , mushroom, green olives and picked up for takeout. The waiting area is nice the service was efficient, and the vibe inside was really cool. A lot of photo ops. Order a 10" if is only 2 or 3 of you. One slice is equivalent to 3 slices of regular style. They deliver across the USA as well. Great Chicago style pizza!! read more

Went here recently on a trip to Chicago. I always wanted to try Chicago Pizza I decided to go here since it is a popular location. I heard good things about this location. When going in there was a way to be seated about 20 minutes. The hostess in the front told us that we can actually put our order in before we were seated since we were looking to order the deep dish Chicago Classic Pizza large 14-in. They make this pizza upon ordering and usually takes about 45 minutes to have it made. We decided that we would just want to wait and order it when we got our table. Upon seating our waiter was very pleasant we ordered our deep dish Chicago Classic Pizza. To me it was a little bit on the pricey side at almost $44 for a pizza. When the pizza arrived it was huge even though it did pricey it was very well worth. It was delicious everything was cooked to perfection it was thick the sauce was very good and the feelings inside were good as well which were pepperoni mushrooms and green peppers and onions I would definitely recommend it the crust was not classic type of crust it was more like a pie type of crust. The place was nice and decorated with pictures on the wall. The place was clean and as soon as somebody left they cleaned up the items quickly. While visiting Chicago I made sure to try the famous deep dish from here. I set a pick up since the reservations were really hard to get. I didn't get any notification about when my order was completed so I recommend making an account so you can track your orders progress. When it was the estimated time for pickup, I walked in and saw my pizza ready. They had it in a heater to keep it warm which is sooo cool! The pizza was tasty! I'm glad they have an option for a personal size because this is SUPER filling. Definitely get less than you think because you may be full from just one slice. read more
Love the energy here. Music was great, made me feel at home! It was super crowded. We stopped by for lunch. As you go through the building, it's very vibrant -- walls filled with fun signs and TVs displayed everywhere. There was an hour wait for pizza. We got the 12" meat & more and it was really good! No complaints. The crust has a bit of a different taste, can't really put my finger on it but overall I enjoyed. Servers were attentive and upfront about how long the food would take. It wouldn't be a trip to Chicago without trying their famous twist on pizza: DEEP DISH! Researching where to get the best, Giordano's seemed to be the clear consensus online & it absolutely lives up to the expectations. The service was good, servers were very kind and cheerful. Definitely took longer than usual, but it was very busy! 45 minutes is standard for a deep dish order ... they say that it's worth the wait and I'd have to agree!! Inside the restaurant is very warm and inviting, all red decor & moody lights from the giant "Giordanos" neon sign from outside. We tried the "Chicago Classic" deep dish pizza, which has pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers & onions! The crust was nice and crisp on the bottom, followed by a thick layer of cheese & pepperoni, with the sauce and veggies scattered on top. SO YUMMY! I would absolutely recommend this to someone trying deep dish for the first time. read more

They don't take reservations at this location, but you put your name on a wait list when you arrive and can pre order your pizzas. It's actually a great system !

Check the menu says available but we ordered regular classic crust during our visit!

Not anymore , in December of 2022, but regulations could change in the future.
A few of their Chicago location websites say they have reservations but when I try to make them online, you can't. So they don't take reservations?

Do they do single slices?
they do not do single slices, all pizza you just order to be made. the smallest pie size is an individual which is 6". deep dish takes 45 minutes minimum to make and thing crust takes about 35 minutes minimum.
Do they leave the top portion of the stuffed crust pizza uncooked for a reason?
It's not uncooked, it is just the style of pizza. Normally, pizza has the sauce and then the cheese on top. With deep dish they put the cheese with the toppings and then they top it off with the pizza sauce.
Why oh why did you get Rid of the deep fried Mushrooms?
Was replaced by some other dish during last menu update.
