When I found out there was a Giordano's in Orlando I didn't walk, I ran!! I had Deep Dish Chicago style pizza at Giordano's in Chicago for the first time lasr year and it was amazing!! A coworker of my husband's told him about a place you could get Chicago style deep dish pizza in Orlando somewhere. When he didn't get back to us and we looked it up on Yelp and saw there was a Giordano's nearby, I screamed in the middle of the store and people are looking at me like I was crazy...which I am, you could say. We came in and were seated right away. They told us the pizza will be about 45 minutes, which was 10 minutes more than we waited in Chicago, but who cares! We ordered a small pizza for the two of us and some soda. we didn't order any appetizers because for two people a small deep dish is more than enough believe you me! you will be full with only two slices. It didn't take that long and the only reason I am not giving them five stars is because the pizza didn't come out as piping hot as it did in Chicago. I even told my husband I thought it might've been one of the frozen pizzas you can order online and they just heat up. I went as far as to ask the waitress because if that would've been the case, I got the genius idea of coming to buy a frozen pizza the next day and take it home with us . She told us they get their ingredients from Chicago and make it all fresh at the store. She also told me that if I wanted to order a pizza to go the next day, to get it uncut and half baked, that people from Miami do it all the time. That is exactly what we did and came back the next day for our half baked and Uncut pizza, baked it a home that night and enjoyed amazing Chicago style pizza two days in a row! Waited 25 minutes before some one finally showed up at our table To ask if we have been helped yet. When we walked though the door Some young girl ran to the door and asked how can I help you? Puzzled by the question we stated we were looking to dine in. She walked us over to a booth and that was the last person we saw for a good 25 minutes. The booth wasn't even cleaned. Still had remanence from the last group. After the Weird and unwelcoming greeting We waited. And waited. And chose the other two located near Disney. Seems the services and overall hospitality is better at those two locations. Being located in the heart of the biggest hospitality town. There's no chain around here so we decided to check it out. If you are in a rush, this is not the place for you. Family voted 4.5 on this place. Hubby had always wanted to try it and was not disappointed. Right off the bat, waitress will tell you the deep dish will take about 40 mins. Go ahead and order a salad for the table to share (lots to choose from). Pizza is well worth the wait. Three of us (son is a college student) couldn't finish the medium meaty pizza. Catering orders beware! I'm a Chicagoan so when we decided to have an impromptu microwedding I knew I had to have Giordanos pizza! We placed a smaller catering order for several pizzas, salads, Italian beef sandwiches, etc. My dad is allergic to tomatoes so one of the pizzas we ordered with white sauce instead of marinara. Unfortunately they mixed up the order so 2 pizzas were completely wrong and my dad couldn't enjoy any on my wedding day. This was in addition to several smaller mix ups on the order (in addition to the pizzas not being ready until 20min after the pickup time and having to talk to 3 different people at the restaurant to even find the order). To add insult to injury, when we called to speak to the manager and request a refund the supposed manager, Amar, was extremely unpleasant and said he would not refund us - despite his team's errors - get real. We'll dispute the charge with the credit card company. Beware of using this location for any special event catering. read more

We ordered the mozzarella wedges for an appetizer and they were great! We settled on one deep dish pizza and one thin crust pizza. The waiter informed us that the wait time on a deep dish was 40 mins which we didnt mind at the time since we had nowhere to be. Giordano's is Chicago in Orlando, but maybe Chicago should stay in Chicago. A friend and I had dinner here on a Friday night, and while we got a seat at a table right away, they were pretty full. The wait for the pizza we ordered was a long-LONG time. They told us in advance that it would take a while, and I know it's made to order, but once they brought it out, I still couldn't figure out why it takes so long for them to make it. The waitress had a bit of an accent, which made her tough to understand at time, but she did refill my water pretty regularly. Parking also here can be a bit of an issue; we had to park at the hotel behind Giordano's, and it was very difficult to cross back over into the restaurant area. The Caesar Salad we split didn't impress me at all. While it was a decent portion size, the dressing was very light. Not much caesar flavoring at all. It really just tasted like lettuce with some water on it. The shaved parmesan was flavorless, and the croutons lacked any crunch whatsoever. When it comes to the pizza, it's really more of a pie, which I guess in the Chicago style. We got the basic small cheese pizza, and I have to say it was pretty good for a slice. A lot of sauce, and a good amount of cheese; it was thick comfort pizza. I don't know if I could have had two slices, but for one, it was fine. As someone who loves pizza, I don't know if I could see myself rushing back here for this. The pizza and salad was not quite a full meal, and not quite filling enough. This was the worst dining experience I've ever experienced. Upon arrival on a Saturday evening, the hostess comments "oh no" when she discovers how many seats we'll nee. Then waiter "Joe" was assigned to us. He was extremely rude and disregarding. In one instance, he told us that we had to eat from plasticware instead of regular silverware like other patrons. When one of my party members commented that she didn't plasticware, he said "well, then you can eat with your own utensils at home." He then commented that "the pizza would take an hour to come out." I was okay with this since restaurants are experiencing worker shortages due to the pandemic. Then for 10 minutes, the waiter Joe disappeared to return with small bottles of liquor stashed in his pocket. One my party members requested an alcoholic beverage to which he responded, "If what we have isn't here, I'll go to the liquor store nearby to purchase what you want." He gave great service to this solo party members, but he was rude, short, and disrespectful to everyone else in my party of 12. Eventually, I spoke to the manager on duty, who was kind and accommodating. She assigned us another server. However, upon discovering this, waiter Joe came back to tell my party member, "I'm sorry, but the gentleman (motioning to me with his hands) does not want me to serve you. she (motioning with his hand to the new server) will be assisting you." Ok so, I was super excited to finally try this place. The food was fantastic I'm detracting points for the service. My server was quite cold. The host had literally just sat me and my server comes up almost immediately and asks if I'm ready to order? Um, not quite hun. She didn't offer up any info on the menu unless I asked. Lacked personality and friendliness. She then took quite a while to come back which sucked since I then found out it's a 40 minute wait to get your food. When she brought my pizza out, she took it upon herself to serve the first slice, now, if you know anything about this place, you know the whole thing about the cheese. She did not emphasis that, and it disappointed me. The none screened in space is incredibly tiny. The servers have no hidden area so they just stand along the back wall and it's awkward. I tried to eat my leftovers later and found the pizza to be almost entirely stuck to the bottom of the box - I think this needs a solution ASAP. Wax paper maybe? Something. Anything. I was really excited to go to this restaurant as it did have good review but was disappointed.  I am not sure if it was because we arrived a bit late into the night and they were about an hour away from closing.  It started with good service, were seated pretty fast and our orders were taken right away but they the waiter disappeared for a bit and food took a while to come out.  We ordered wings, pizza (thin and deep crust) since they are known for it.  The truth is that the wings were good but I was not impressed with the pizza.  My sister ordered some limes for her drink and the waiter brought it cut up and on her hand.  My sister asked another waiter to bring lime on a plate (sanitary reasons), the lady brought them to her and the waiter once again appeared, grabbed the limes with her hands again to give it to my sister.  What was that about?!  Isn't she aware that first of all, that's not sanitary and second, we have a COVID pandemic going on!!!  I have to say that the Margaritas were really good (had a few of those lol).
