Not great. Have eaten at the Chicago location a few times and liked it. Is this even the same place? The 4 cheese garlic bread - the bread was very thin, the cheese topping was microscopic thin. Meh. Very poor service! We got seated and no one came to our table. A few mins later a very large table got seated next to us and started getting waited on. We went early so there were a lot of open tables and service shouldn't have been an issue. We got up and left finally several mins later after no one ever came to our table. read more

We were very excited to try this Giordanos since we have been to the Chicago location many many times. So we ordered two pizzas one Deep dish and one extra thin crust pizza. The deep dish was not cooked through and extremely soggy. The thin crust was powdery and bland. Just like eating cardboard. I had my my family over and everyone left hungry. We threw the pizzas away and just ate a salad we made here at home. Very disappointed especially for spending close to 60 dollars on food we couldn't even eat.... STICK TO THE PIZZA: If I had never tried anything other than the pizza - this place would have a four-star rating. Pizza is awesome, no need to go into any detail there. I tried the appetizer sampler last night....STAY AWAY FROM ANY OF THE APPS. I am wondering if it was just a byproduct of a busy night and stacking carry-out orders too close together - but it tasted like the appetizers had been sitting in a warmer for hours as everything was lukewarm at best. The cheesy garlic bread was absolutely the worst I have ever had anywhere - threw that away. It was a rectangle of uncut bread that was topped with some cheese. Didn't taste the garlic at all. The bread tasted like it was sitting out a few days. My friend and I actually laughed at how awful it was and he dared me for finish it for $20 (it was not worth the suffering!) Now, imagine going to the state fair and getting cheese curds that aren't melted inside - cause that is what you get with the mozzarella triangles. At this point, I was actually afraid to try anything else. The boneless wings tasted pretty decent - just cold. The loaded potato fritters were the best part about the sampler; however, by comparison to the rest of the food makes me think they are also mediocre at best. Also, the cannolis was awful. Pizza doesn't get better than Giordano's. Their deep dish is what Chicago style pizza is all about. Takes a bit to get it but it is so worth the wait. I used to travel to Chicago just to get Giodanos but thankfully they built some in the Twin Cities. read more

Very disappointed ....we ordered a italian beef sandwich with Parmesan fries ( the amount of fries was less than an order from a fast food drive thru) that is being kind and they were cold and then they forgot 2 sodas. We ordered at 6:30 pm on a Thursday night and received food at 8pm and our drinks at 8:15 pm. So disappointing .. We had a deep dish pizza that was wonderful last week . I worked in restaurants as a bartender for over 25 yrs and understand kinks need to be worked out of restaurants that just opened. But this was pretty bad ..the delivery drive practically ran away before we even checked the order .... read more

We had a deep dish pizza tonight, with pepperoni and green peppers. She warned us it was hot, "be careful!" It was not hot. The crust seemed pre-made, day old, crusty but not in a good way. The saltines in our cupboard have more flavor. Maybe it was an off night, but I am not at all excited to come back. The house salad was acceptable but not spectacular. Well someone from the resturaunt commented on my yelp review to make things better. I emailed the person twice now and no response. I will probably not be returning to this resturaunt as they cannot even reply to anyone or fix what seems to be wrong. So I hope they fix their ovens and cook their pizzas completely. We arrived at 4:30, were seated, and ordered. We were told at that time that our deep dish pizza would take 45 minutes. A few minutes later we were asked if we would be willing to move to another table and we agreed to do that without complaint. We didn't actually get our small pizza until 6pm (about an hour-and-a-half later) and when we DID, it was over done and difficult to eat. We were pretty disappointed as we've been to the location in Uptown and loved it. read more

The atmosphere and service were on par with a sports bar (which gained them 2 stars), but unfortunately the pizza tasted like a bad frozen pizza. We tried both the thin crust and their famous deep dish, and were very disappointed in the quality. We enjoyed our experience at Giordano's. We had a medium Caesar salad and a large deep dish pizza. It fed four of us well and we had some to take home. I appreciate that they have beer and drinks available. Our server Shannon was fun and non-intrusive. We will be back! read more

5 stars for the food, 3 stars for the service. I love the pizza here; it seriously can't be beat. But the service is TERRIBLE. Just awful. We went in for my husband's birthday and there was a wait, which was fine, it was expected. There were 6 of us, and when they called our name and brought us to the table, it was a table meant for 4 people, up against a wall, so there was no way the 6 of us were goig to fit there. Plus, with a couple pizzas on the table, no way was there enough room for 6. We told them we would wait for a larger table to open up, and we waited another 20 mins or so. Once again, they bring us to a 4 person table. The hostess seemed confused why she was sent to a 4 person table for a party of 6, and told us to wait. So we were standing in the middle of the restaurant waiting for her to come back and seat us at another table and she never came back. I went up to ask what the deal was and she told me she thought we were fine at the small table. So, we smashed into this Tony table, with 2 people sitting at the end, and eating pizza from our laps because there was no table space. On top of it, we ordered dessert for my husband's birthday and it never came, and the waitress told us we could take it to go, and to go grab it on our way out. Well, we did, and had to wait another 15 mins for it. Super chaotic, no communication between all the workers, just a mess. We will go back, because of the food, but I hope they get their act together. read more

First and last visit. Walked in during evening rush and place was maybe 30% full. Extremely loud. Could not converse across table without repeating everything in loud tone. Decor was all hard materials that only served to amplify the noise. Ordered Club Italiano and Buffalo Chicken sandwiches. 27 minute wait. No one checked on us, refill water, etc. until food served. Had a fantastic dinner. Our server Alexis (Lexi) was extremely attentive, stopping by several times to make sure we had all we needed. She even waited in the kitchen as our pizza was ready to come out of the oven in order to deliver it piping hot. It was busy but they turned over tables very fast so we had a seat within 2min of walking in the door. Service was great, our server was attentive and quick, filled my drink 3x. We shared everything so I was able to try a lot of things including: Deep dish, which was great, cheesy, saucy, flavorful. The crust was cooked perfect. Salad with pear in it was very good. The Greek salad wasn't awesome, it was fine. Parmesan fries were ok. The Italian beef was pretty good, had it with both hot and sweet peppers. I decided that for date night, I would try the Richfield location. I arrived @ 8 and was told that it would take 45 minutes which I had no problem with for my sit down order. As you know they serve ready pizza you can bake at home. When my pizza arrived it was the frozen pizza that had been heated in the oven. Quiet as kept they left the sauce off the top just like it is seen in the to go case. Having had pizza in Chicago Metra Station whet I was born and raised. I let the manager know that my pizza was only hot around the crust. Advised that all she could do was put it back in the oven. For what it's worth handling money and serving food does not go hand in hand let alone the lady was sweeping the floors around our food. Can anyone say closing time on Friday..... Uptown MN will be the only Franchise I tell my coworkers to go for the VERY BEST Chicago Style Pizza. Question how are you able to pick a seat in the best pizza joint wit a bar on a Friday? Ordered for the first time tonite, I had wanted to order from here before but upon reading reviews I noticed that delivery was a longer process (especially for the deep dish) so I waited until tonight when dinner wasn't a I want it now night...pizza showed up right at my quoted time, the deep dish is much heavier than I ever expected the box to be and when I took it from the driver I almost dropped it. The driver was so unbelievably friendly, actually seemed to somewhat enjoy their job. The pizza was amazing. I got a larg because we are a family of 5, we could have easily gotten a smaller size. This pizza was super filling! I will prob order from here again but not regularly, I'm used to getting cheap pizza when I'm in a dinner pinch...this was more of a treat and I will also probably never dine in because 45 mins for a deep dish to cook is too long to wait at a restaurant, I probably won't try other stuff from the menu because I already know one awesome item that makes the whole family happy. read more

First time here Shanon, our server was knowledge and always there when we needed her. But. The food was not good. Ordered the special deep dish pizza. Surprise it wasn't even hot!! We were told it would take 45 min to prepare so you can imagine what went through our minds, was it prepared ahead of time and just heated? No said the manager who offered to heat it up, 15 min later I could not tell the difference in temp. By this time all we wanted to do was get out of there. Don't think they'll see us again. We ordered pizza last night for the first time from Giordano's. The estimated wait time was 1 hour and 20 minutes and we didn't get our pizza for over 2 hours. I called at the 2 hour time mark and they stuttered and told me it was really busy...I get that but where was my pizza?! Finally they admitted the driver hadn't even left but he would be on his way soon. 15 minutes later I get a call from the driver that says he is lost. He had to download google maps while I was on the phone to find my house. He finally arrived 1 hour past the time he should have been here with a cold deep dish, wings and regular pizza. They offered $20 off but I think I should have gotten it free since the pizza wasn't even hot when it got here after over 2 hours. Very disappointed. Do not trust their online ordering system. If they kick you to the back of the line, they just move your order to the next day without any noticeable warning. PM turns to AM. The times remain similar. Just another pizza chain taking advantage of customers after they charge your credit card. I have never tried their chain pizza, nor will I ever try it now. read more

Looked at yelp reviews before eating here. Wow this deep dish pizza rocked my world. I am so happy I tried deep dish one more time. Cheesey Garlic Bread and marinara sauce YUMMY. Medium size Caesar Salad crisp and delicious. Garlic cheese bread and salad arrived promptly ate every bite. Pizza arrived within 2 minutes of finishing appetizer and salad. Our server Jeremy was very attentive and served both of us our first slice of pizza. We left satiated and happy. Restaurant was welcoming and warm. Bathrooms and floor was very clean. This was the second time I tried the new Giordano's here in Richfield and I think I could have done better with a store bought pizza. Ordered hand tossed for take out and it was ready in good time but upon getting home, the order was wrong. Maybe partly my fault but the pizza was horrible. I agree with cardboard as a reference to the crust. NO FLAVOR. The sauce tasted more like just tomato sauce out of a can. Ordered the cheesy garlic bread but little cheese and no garlic taste. Asked for feta as an additional ingredient on half but only got feta cheese on half. Thought I stated that as an add on not the only cheese on half. Would not waste my money going again. The last time we tried this place, we also waited over 90 minutes for a deep dish. Just not a good buy for the money they charge. read more

Check your takeout pizza before you leave. Ordered deep dish stuffed Meat and More Meat pizza for takeout. Got it home and the bottom of the crust was burned, sides of crust not fully cooked, center was not hot and topping on top were burned. Review from the delivery standpoint: We used a discount coupon, received in the mail, and boy what a gift! The deep dish pizza was more scrumptious than the picture on the flyer! The calamari makes me happy just thinking about it again. The delivery was right on time and my husband said the deliverer was polite and friendly. The next night, yes the next night...We tried their sandwiches, the appetizer sampler, salads, calamari again and, mini cannoli and guess what? IT WAS do a dance, GOOOOD!!!!!
