Gio's has friendly staff, a cozy and casual interior, and tasty dinner options! I usually get the lemon chicken or the lobster ravioli when im here and both are amazing. I also got the peach bellini and it was delicious! The prices are very reasonable and they serve big portions, I always have a second portion of chicken to take home after. Would definitely recommend!

Gio's is a casual Italian dinner that has great pasta and chicken. We ordered at the bar and then sat down for them to bring out the food. When we sat down, the gave us salads and bread to start. The bread was perfection - crunchy on the outside but quite soft on the inside. We tried the chicken parm and sorrento lemon roasted chicken. I'm not the biggest fan on chicken breast but they seasoned it very well.

An authentic Italian dessert hidden gem right by Anticos Pizza in downtown ATL! The best and only way to finish eating pizza was getting gelato right next door. We went in through the back, and the dessert shop was right there. There were gelato options and cannolis and other dessert options. We got a chocolate chip cannoli to go, and this cannoli was huge! Each cannoli is made to order, but it didn't take long to make it. Then, I wanted gelato. I was stuck between hazelnut and tiramisu flavor, and when I told them employee this, he said I could have half a scoop of each. So, I decided on that! The half scoops were huge and honestly could have been a scoop each. That is how big they were. I got a small, and I couldn't even finish it all. Both flavors were delicious but they were an acquired taste. To me, it took me right back to Italy. The shop was connected to a restaurant. They was limited seating inside and it was very very hot in here. But, there was tons of seating outside. Because we needed to go, we didn't stay! But, we would definitely come back.

This is a place where you order at the counter and then seat yourself either indoors or outdoors. Whatever you order is brought out to you, but you grab your own utensils, napkins, water, etc. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, which came with a side salad and two pieces of bread. The side salad was simple and delicious, the bread was warm and baked well, and the meatballs were flavorful and saved the spaghetti noodles (which were bland, imo). Overall, I enjoyed my meal!

A classic. The food is good. The service is great. I love the ambiance. It's connected to antico and gelato. You'll find something to eat here for sure!

Sorrento Lemon Singolo. Enough said. Order at the front. Find a table - tablecloths and the lighting is nice too ... unexpected for mostly self-service dining. Get your plates, utensils, water, etc. at the table against the wall. They will bring your food when ready. Service is friendly. Our dishes came with a basket of bread (very good), and salad ... I recommend asking dressing on the side. SORRENTO LEMON SINGOLO - $21 Chicken with fresh Amalfi-style lemons, garlic, wild oregano, olio di oliva, and some potatoes too! This dish is divine and a must-order. ARABBIATA SINGOLO - $18.50 Spicy penne ... pasta tasted a little overcooked ... spicy for sure but just ok tasting. I chose wrong - that Sorrento Lemon Chicken is the lottery. FYI parking available in front and at Antico ... get dessert from the gelato cafe next door. And yes, same owner as Antico's.

Do yourself a favor and go. Recently renovated and Michelin-recommended for the past two years, this charming Italian spot delivers some of the most delicious, well-prepared food - AND it's an incredible value. Service is quick, the vibe can be as casual or as date-night as you want, it's family-friendly, great for dine-in or takeout, and it's BYOB. It truly has it all. It's essentially three concepts in one: Gio's, with fantastic chicken dishes and pastas (all served with complimentary salads - and yes, their famous Amish chicken is exclusive to them in Atlanta); Antico, with outstanding pizza; and their gelato shop, offering gelato and classic Italian desserts. We've been going to the west midtown location for six years and even ordered takeout throughout Covid. I recently had the chance to meet Gio, and he is genuinely humble and incredibly kind! My favorite chicken dish is the Sorrento Lemon Chicken; my husband loves the Diavola and the Scarpiello (both with a little heat). Every chicken entrée comes with the simplest, most flavorful side salad ... I usually order a second because it's that good. Only note: I do wish the chicken parm came with more marinara. The chicken and pasta can be a bit dry without it.

Came here for dinner on a quiet Sunday night. Counter service only. For $20 you get a full Italian dinner including salad, roll, pasta and main dish. We got the chicken parm and chicken with fresh tomatoes and mozzarella. We sat out side which was nice ambiance. Salads came which were good. Main dishes came and food was very good for the price. Pizza is supposed to be good as well. Check it Out!

Great casual spot with big portion sizes. We got the chicken parm. It comes with salad and bread as well. We were able to split this meal between two people and were plenty full by the end!

Baked Ziti al Forno - it's that sauce !!!

One thing that keeps me coming back here is "Consistency" this place gets it right every time - first the location is like you have stopped along some small little village in Italy that has all these delicious foods available in various little spots - coffee and gelato, a bar and small bites - pizza slices ....but this is about Gio's Chicken. Sorrento Lemon Roasted Chicken - this is one heck of a dish - the lemon essence permeates this dish, tender, juicy and delicious there is 1/2 a chicken in this dish, a few potato slices that have absorbed this delicious juice...you can make a meal out of the bread and juice...and Baked Zito Al Forno ...that San Marzano Marinade makes all the difference- both dishes are served with a salad with house dressing - you can't go wrong. Service is "good" and the atmosphere transports you away for a brief time. Whether you dine in or take it to go....u will love every bite.

They have very right limited parking spaces. Most of the time, we do pickup. They have both indoor and outdoor seats with nice ambience and Mediterranean decor. If the place is full, it can get noisy easily; but that's the vibe of the restaurant. Our regular ordered dishes are lemon chicken (Sorrentina Singolo) and meatball spaghetti. The lemon chicken (Sorrentina Singolo) is one of their signature dishes, and it never disappoint. Tender chickens with a well balance lemon flavor. The dish goes with a side of salad which is fresh and tasty. The meatball spaghetti is also delicious. The restaurant and the Antico pizza shared the same space. Thus, if you dined in, you could have the seats and order food from both places. Highly recommend!

So happy to have found this spot today! I had a perfect lunch that ended with a delicious raspberry gelato. Gio's is a family-style Italian restaurant with such a great ambiance that I momentarily forgot I was in Atlanta. Today was my first visit, but it definitely won't be my last. For the record, when you enter, you place your order with the front server. Once you pay, you take your seat and your meal will be served to you. It doesn't hurt to listen for your number on the receipt. For today's lunch special, I had the chicken parmigiana paired with their house salad, which was plenty for $12.75! You can't beat this lunch special. The menu offers plenty of other options to choose from. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. It was prepared fresh with quality ingredients. Once again, I loved the ambiance here. It's really cozy here, and I'm happy to have stumbled across this place. There's free parking on the opposite side of the entrance. If you're not able to dine in for the experience, you can possibly find them on Uber Eats

The chicken wings were just okay, but the main reason I came was because the place was open so late, making it convenient to try Atlanta's specialties. It was a limited-time experience! Sweet & Sassy Wingz: Their signature flavor. The chicken was over-fried, and the meat was a bit dry. Most importantly, it was coated in a thick layer of sauce, so sweet it was almost too sweet to eat... L. Pepper Wet Wingz: As an Atlanta specialty, this chicken wing was relatively interesting. The initial taste was an intense lemon sourness, almost making you shiver, followed by the warm spicy aroma of black pepper. If the sourness could be toned down, it would be quite good. The chicken wings were still overcooked, and because there was no sauce, the meat was even drier. But I don't know if this is a problem or part of their specialty? Season Friez: Although it was hot, it was already soggy and soft. I consoled myself, "Just grab something quick..." Side Salad: A meatless version of Caesar salad. The bread was so hard I couldn't even stick it in with a fork, but thankfully the lettuce was fairly fresh. Google Maps shows they're open until 3 AM, but they actually don't offer dine-in service after midnight, and the area outside is practically homeless's paradise. Please be careful!

This was my last stop before leaving Hotlanta! I wasn't really in the mood to go out my last night,…read moreso I scrolled through a long list of restaurants and decided on wings. The name Hungry AF caught my attention--I figured with a name like that, the wings had to be good. The restaurant had a casual sit-down atmosphere with colorful tables and chairs that gave it a fun vibe. I ordered the Mamba Lemon Pepper wings with a side of vegetable hibachi rice. My food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The wings definitely did not disappoint! They were perfectly sauced with just the right balance of lemon pepper flavor. I actually finished every single wing, which is something I almost never do! The vegetable hibachi rice, however, wasn't my favorite. I was expecting a traditional hibachi-style fried rice, but it tasted more like pre-cooked frozen rice. It also had a sweetness that just wasn't for me. I'm glad I gave it a try, but it's probably not something I'd order again. Overall, if you're craving flavorful wings, Hungry AF is worth checking out. The wings were the highlight of the meal and a great way to end my Atlanta food tour!

The resturant was very hip and trendy. I got the Hungry AF Combo with Trey Young wings and shrimp pasta and Fruit Punch Peach Lemonade. The Fruit Punch Peach Lemonade taste just like what you think it would a mixture of all those flavors together and it was overally sweet wasn't my favorite. The Trey Young Wings which is a mixture Honey Garlic and Lemon Pepper of it was okay nothing to write home about. The Shrimp Pasta was okay I did feel like it was a little dry and lacked flavor. I called shortly afterward and was informed that an employee had found it and that it was being held at the restaurant. What made this situation even worse was the way the manager handled it. Instead of showing concern, taking responsibility, or making a genuine effort to help resolve the issue, he was dismissive, spoke to me in an unprofessional manner in front of other customers, and ultimately walked away while I was still trying to discuss what had happened. I understand that mistakes can happen, but losing an item that had already been found and acknowledged by staff is a serious issue. More importantly, the lack of accountability, empathy, and professionalism shown by management was unacceptable. No customer should be treated with disrespect, especially when trying to recover a valuable personal item. I hope the company reviews its lost-and-found procedures and provides better customer service training to its management team. My experience left me feeling frustrated, embarrassed, and completely unsupported.

It wasn't busy at all on a Wednesday night. Signs indicate that you should seat yourself wherever available and to head to the counter to make your order. I ordered takeout, so I can't speak about the dine-in experience here. FOOD: We ordered a double order of the wings and asked for their two most popular flavors, which were the lemony pepper wet wings and some other flavor (couldn't hear the worker clearly, but just went with it). The order came with fries and a choice between ranch or blue cheese dipping sauce. Maybe I am not used to the flavor profile here, but I found the wings to be excessively salty (and I have a preference for salty food). My tongue is still tingling as I write this review. Also, the lemony pepper wings tasted like they were coated in pure citric acid. The other flavor was drowning in sauce. The wings themselves were so dry that it felt like I was eating chicken jerky. SERVICE: Food came out within ten minutes of us ordering. No frills place, so expect no frills service. No complaints. They have a bag-it-yourself policy. TLDR// This might be the first place to actually convince me that overseasoning is actually a thing. Excessively salty, dry chicken wings that my tongue is still paying the price for. Would not come back, and I would try a different spot for lemony pepper wet wings.
