My honey and I wandered in on a leisurely walk through waikiki to catch some play off basketball and were promptly seated at the bar. The portion sizes were good and the food fresh, although the menu was wayyyyy extensive (not sure if that's actually a bad thing, as we're indecisive). That being said, there's something for everyone on the menu, and we'd definitely bring family and friends back for a cold beer and good service. It's super convenient in terms of walking distance form any place in Waikiki, and the crowd was a nice combination of tourists and locals alike.

Day 1 here 5/5 Day 2 here 4/5 Service 4/5 Ambiance 4/5 Good day 1 5/5, day 2 3/5 You know it's very decent! Close by our resort we stayed and it was just easy. I guess maybe it was Togo. The chicken tender/fingers made the fries soggy, maybe separate the two items when offering Togo. Pizza was 5/5, fried calamari's 5/5 salads 4/5, Overall 4/5! I also saw a live person playing music the second night here! There's a bar area with also sit down dining, nice place near your resort to eat n get Togo! Side note!! Wyndham Waikiki beach walk guests gets 10% discount! Please make sure you mention if you are staying there.

This place is a joke. Honestly, don't even walk through their spot. They advertise "New York style pastrami," but it was complete bullshit. I asked if the bread was toasted, and the waiter said it was grilled. Then they brought the sandwich with the worst bread possible. The pastrami tasted canned or pre-made, nothing close to real New York pastrami. Same with the burger, the patty tasted pre-made and low quality. Overall, the food was terrible, and we were treated like shit. Very disappointing experience.

We celebrated Mother's Day yesterday at Giovanni Pastrami with a party of 18, and we would highly recommend this place! Our server, Ricky, was amazing -- super friendly, helpful, and attentive. Our food came out quick, fresh, and hot, especially impressive with such a large party. The GM, Laurie, was the sweetest! She gave all of us mama's beautiful roses for Mother's Day, which was such a thoughtful touch. She also gave my mom a few special treats made by the manager/chef Marissa herself... but of course the keiki spotted them right away and had to have some Overall, we had such an amazing first experience there, and we'll definitely be back. Mahalos plenty to the whole team for the hospitality! Also, parking was literally one minute away and super convenient -- especially for Waikiki. The valet uncle was right: "...and won't be your last time here."

When you first walk in you notice that this is a cool place to hangout, have a beer, cocktail, or a glass of wine and have some bar food. The service was excellent and she was very helpful in helping us navigate the menu. The meatball sandwich was okay, but really needed a bit more seasoning. The fries were really good, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The prices were reasonable for the area. Glad we stopped by.

Giovanni Pastram, Lewers Street, Waikiki is always a fun stop, and this visit was all about Bloody Marys. Out for a Saturday morning stroll in Waikiki, we were craving a good Bloody Mary and headed to a familiar favorite. I was excited to see they offer four different Bloody Mary options and went with the Pigskin Special, loaded with thick-cut bacon, celery, olives, and extra pickle juice. It did not disappoint. Although we did not eat this time, we had a great seat and saw pizzas, wings, local plate lunches, and deli-style dishes flying out of the kitchen, everything looked solid. The place was pretty full, and our server was also bartending, but she was awesome, kept checking on us, and provided great service. Giovanni Pastrami is great for locals and visitors alike. Pro tip: if you want to watch football here, get in early. If you are in the Lewers Street area and looking for a casual spot with good drinks and a lively sports bar vibe, this is always a good call.

As a weird guy I pulled a weird move. In my slippahs on a holoholo round da streets of Waikīkī my eyes caught the stare of a cookie rack. With no slack, on full attack, I walked into this pastrami joint to confront the pretty little thang eying me down. Fired up marshmallow on the top of a non-shallow cook in a pastram spot. Lotta pastrami round these parts - Is that a Hawaiian thing? Can't be... but must be. I asked in a demanding way whether or not I needed to sit my tail down to cop a cook, the lovely hostess/manager answered my commands to my favor. I picked a cookie to go, my choice - The best in the rack of course... bet ya bottom I left with no remorse. The $7 hole in my pocket was just that... a hole. We move on. My tubby tummy needed a last bit of cook to send me full chubby. Physically I couldn't handle anymore but mentally I'm not as weak. Cookie cake crumble type vibes with nice chocolate and lovely marsh. I left content, and that's all we can ask for in this shell of a world. Formerly dominant and now overrun by the hustle. One day we will return to a life of freedom. I long for AI to take all of our jobs, but will i live to see the day that most of you brainwashed swashbucklers fear? Low 8's type cookie - Better treats in the area but I won't act like this wasn't a noiccce dessert.

I found so many things that looked great on the menu, to include fried gizzards, boneless Kal Bi ribs, fully loaded fried rice, Mac salad and other stuff I can't recall! The staff was super nice about it and was able to accommodate us, with only a small request that we be out by 8pm since there was another big party with a reservation coming in. Absolutely reasonable. They sat us right away at three large tables, which gave us plenty of space for food and didn't force us to sit super close together. Menus, waters, plates, napkins, and forks were all brought out immediately, and our waiter was quick to take our order. We started with the prix fixe menu for 8-10 guests and were going to add other items à la carte, but a handful of our group accidentally went to the other Side Street location (make sure your group is all on the same page), so what we ordered ended up being more than enough. We left stuffed and with 5 boxes of food still. Edamame was nice and steamy, and large enough to easily pop the beans out with your mouth. Wish there was a bit more salt though. The farmer's salad had everything going on from citrusy to salty to crispy. Avocado had a little bit of oxidation but the capers, dressing and potato curls provided plenty of reasons to overlook it. The fried rice came in a hefty portion, with sizable pieces of bacon and sausage. The chicken I didn't realize was boneless based on the shape of the deep fry, but it was nice to freely bite into it without worrying about hitting anything with my teeth. Probably a bit too much on fried bits but still good. Pork chops had a better meat to crisp ratio in my opinion, as well as juiciness. They even came with ketchup on the side, which I love as a pairing but don't see much of at restaurants. My favorite meat item was definitely the sizzling boneless kalbi. The presentation on the sizzling plate with a side of kimchi was spectacular, and the meat was full of flavor. We also ordered yakisoba, which wasn't part of the prix fixe. Tasted good but nothing past standard expectations. We let the waiter know we had a 30th birthday at the table, and they brought a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream with a candle, and did a decent job getting the whole room to participate in the singing. It could also be the type of crowd this place attracts, since it seemed that everyone was so friendly and approachable. Thanks to the quick and consistent service, we were out in a little over an hour with no complaints.

When you come through the beach, you have the option of dining at the bar, which seems to be a totally different experience. The bar serves burgers and other bar foods, and we wanted something a little less casual. After entering through the bar, we ended up having to go to the desk inside. They added my name and took down my phone number to text when the table is ready. This place is huge. There is indoor seating with lots of grass "skirt" trim around some of the ceiling and bars, and the upholstery of the dining chairs are different colorful aloha prints. On the deck there are think torches and umbrellas and string lights. On the level just a few steps down are more umbrella tables and some musicians playing Hawaiian music. All around are photos of the famous Olympic champion, surgery, and actor Duke Kahanamoku. Much to my surprise, as I was looking around while waiting for a table, a girl asked if I was Denise. They didn't text me; rather, they jot down a brief description so they can just look around and find you. She sat us on the beach deck. Our server was fantastic, so friendly with lots of explanations and recommendations. They use an ordering system and it's fun like a week liked machine. Hubby's beer was delivered to our table before our server even walked away! We both ordered the teriyaki sirloin steak with mashed potatoes. It. Was. Freaking. Delicious.
