Hi really had high hopes for this place. It was jam packed with tourists on this day, some were here to watch Seattle and the Niners beat each other up. I guess maybe I've been to a few top notch pastrami joints before, and when a place has "Pastrami" in its name, oh boy. I ordered the hot pastrami dish. It took a long while, but giving a pass since it was slammed on this day. Food finally came out and I was instantly underwhelmed. Maybe its unfair to compare to NYC, but this example in front of me was lacking. I took a bite and while it was fine to eat, it was dry and lifeless. Server didn't even give us any mustard to go with it, and had to flag down someone to ask for it. It was also on the small side and was able to finish it up easily. To be fair, my boys had some burgers and fries and onion rings and they thoroughly enjoyed them. I had a bite and yes, onion rings were actually fire. And burgers were flavorful and juicy. Maybe if you come, get anything but the pastrami? Or maybe try a corned beef. I'll try again on a different visit. read more

The only reason I'm giving them any stars is because the pizza was pretty good, even by Chicago standards. Our hotel offers room service from this restaurant, promising delivery to the room. Fail number one: this establishment uses Door Dash and this does not give the delivery person any incentive to represent the place the food is from. Dasher messaged us to come get our food from the lobby, but they were actually in their running vehicle. This, after being required to tip in advance. Next, the appetizers were both disappointing. Eggplant parm bites were paper thin, breaded and overcooked with a side of marinara to dip. Wings were cooked but not sauced. The sauce was on the side. Not properly prepared. Like I said, the pizza was pretty good all around but the entire order cost a lot and their idea of a large pizza was most places' medium or small. Meh. I'll order Domino's next time. read more

So at first I was unsure about this restaurant. We are in Hawaii, why pastrami? But I was wrong. We ate here 3 times. We tried all different dishes. The fired rice with eggs was so good. The Ruben was really good. The pastrami was probably the best pastrami I've had in a long time. Bottom line is everything we tried was really good. And their $10 happy hour drink were very good. Me and my wife decided we would go out last night in Waikiki for St Pattys so we headed over to yard house when we got there the wait was over an hour so we decided to go to Giovanni's. We haven't been in a couple years but had a great time the last time we went so decided to check out the bar. Amazingly there was actually open seating. We decided to go ahead and order a couple drinks and order a pizza. The drinks were great came to us cold and refreshing. The pizza was also one of the best I've had lately which is great because honestly I wasn't expecting much. Our bartender Cory was super attentive and nice even though she was running the bar alone she held it down! They also had some great live music. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Round Table Pizza + a variety of salads, sandwiches, wagyu burgers, and a few local favorites. I DO NOT recommend eating here! The food was bad, and the service was even worse. We waited a long time for our food, and the restaurant wasn't even crowded. The waitress said they experienced a grease fire... hello? Then worse, when I got my burger, I was all dry and burnt. That means my burger patty must have been on fire. I asked for a new burger patty, it was still burned on the edges but very raw on the inside. I think the cook was struggling that night, Oct 7, 2024 to be exact. On top of all of that, someone kept turning up the music very loud. Happened about 5-6 times... they must have wanted us to leave or just annoy us. Overall, I did not have a pleasant dining experience. It's no surprise this restaurant only has 3 stars. I should have seen the warning signs and walked passed this restaurant , the way I always have the past 10 years. I'm sadly disappointed. read more

We came on Saturday night for some appetizers and drinks and sat at the bar. We come here a lot and know the food is always amazing, but this is the first time at the bar. Cory was our bartender and she was absolutely outstanding. For 7pm on a Saturday there were a few moments the bar was really busy. She didn't miss a beat and handled customers like a champ. I visit Waikiki often. When I visit, I walk along this stretch of Lewers Street regularly. I think the reason I haven't visited "Giovani Pastrami" until now is because I confused it with a Sicilian restaurant a few doors down. But on this trip, I was staying at the Imperial Hawaii, and Giovanni Pastrami was on the resort's promotions list. I ordered: a dinner Ceasar Salad ($11.00); a Spaghetti Bolognese ($23.00), with a side of additional meatballs ($6.00). I also ordered a Hendrick's G&T ($12.00). With a 3% service fee ($1.56) and tax ($2.53), my ticket was $56.09 before gratuity. It shouldn't be difficult to mess up salad--and yet, some places do. Not in this instance. The salad wasn't fancy, but the serving size was good given the surrounding area. The flavor of the dressing was good; and the lettuce was nicely chilled. The spaghetti was competently prepared. The pasta was al dente; the sauce was flavorful and had a nice texture. The serving size was good, given the location. The meatballs were also prepared well, not tough. On this occasion, I wanted a relatively simple meal. But I examined the menu for my future reference. Prices, in general, can be described as "mid-range" for the Waikiki tourist zone. The restaurant is split level. There is the floor level, equivalent to street level; the rear dining area (with bar) is elevated. The restaurant is well lighted; the decor is nice, with a lot of earth tones. There are a lot of TV screens to watch sports. Note: On the night I was there, there was live music. I wish they had done a sound check. The volume of the performance was a little too large for the space. I would rate service as "acceptable", but it could have been better. The store, however, seemed to be a little understaffed during my visit. read more

Am I doing something wrong or the driver? I kindly asked to contact Uber Support and they refused few times until I contact Ubereats agent.....
