After browsing yelp for my birthday dinner, I stumbled on Tiki's and their Guava Ribs caught my eye. This is located on the second floor with stunning ocean views. The atmosphere is vacation-like and special with this beautiful restaurant. The staff here were friendly and our server was awesome. I loved the vibes and enjoy catching the sunset with delicious bites. For appetizers, we opted for the katsu calamari. This was bomb, good flavor inside out and crunch. My Painkiller drink was boozy goodness and super fun aesthetic. My main course, the guava ribs were juicy and tender! Scenic dinner views and outstanding food from Tiki's!

Kalua Pork Sandwich with fries. Not a bad deal for $17.

Coming into this review, I really began to wonder what to expect for Tiki's. I never visited there before, and being that this was a first-time visit, I was blown away in terms of expectations. From the decor to the view atop the restaurant, it screamed "Hawaii" through and through. So for lunch, I decided to order their Kalua Pork Sandwich. For $17, it was a fair price for what you got in terms of the amount of food. The Pork was very succulent and juicy, and the presentation with the taro bun really made it look like I was eating in a Hawaiian restaurant. The fries were not bad at all. The shape really looked interesting from first look. Overall, I have to say, it was really good. I definitely will consider coming back here for the sandwich again, if I had to. Would I recommend Tiki's? Yes...if you are looking to get a good view from atop and enjoy some good food there. 10/10 Love the atmosphere.

Aloha :) Really enjoyed Tikis! Started with some coco mojitos, which are delicious and really big. They are super expensive at $24 each, but include a really nice souvenir glass. Souvenir shopping done I really enjoyed the Smoked Marlin dip with Taro and Sweet potato chips. I had the seared tuna app with a side of sticky rice for my main course and was full. Our server was very friendly attentive and even brought out a complementary chicken empanada that was super tasty. On this Friday evening, they had live music. That combined with the great view of the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean made it a wonderful evening to top off a great day. Mahalo

Great location overlooks Waikiki beach. Decor and lighting has nice vibes. They had a live performer who sang really good and had a great sense of humor. Our server was on top of everything and super friendly. The food was delicious!! The truffle garlic edamame is a must if you come here! The flavor is amazing!! I didn't let any sauce go to waste! Never had edamame like this before and now I don't want it any other way! I got the Macadamia Nut Crusted Fish (fresh catch of the day) was soo fresh and delicious the macadamia nut crust was perfectly crisp the fish cooked just right. Paired well with the lemon cauliflower risotto. I absolutely loved this dish! I ate it all! My husband got the Truffle Yaki Salmon, great flavor! Super tender and moist. Twenty layer haupia crepe cake is also a must! Super light creamy dessert, even after finishing my whole plate I had room for this dessert. The whole scenery, and vibe was perfect! The food is incredible and I highly recommend this place! Also, you get to go home with your drink cups!

The first place we tried when arriving in Hawaii. It's close to our hotel and has super cute decor with a great view of the beach. The service was great, she was very attentive and the food came out quick!! The octopus katsu was amazing and the poke wontons were delicious. The sauces were super tasty. Definitely recommend giving it a try!

Sean our waiter was one of the loveliest person I had ever met in my life. He gave such wonderful food recommendations and was literally a one man army taking care of everyone. He told is to try the special parmesan crusted fish and it was absolutely amazing. The swordfish was flakey and perfectly cooked. The arancini appetizer was quite delicious as well. We came before the hectic time during dinner so we were seated rather quickly. I do recommend patience here because it does seem to be short staffed here yet large crowds. But the view is phenomenal and again, I cannot emphasize enough: ask for Sean.

I came here in November 2025 with a good friend to celebrate my birthday, and honestly...this was a moment. From the start, the staff was lovely and welcoming. We had great conversations throughout the night, and although I don't remember our server's name, she was absolutely amazing and really made the experience feel special. I ordered the vegan primavera and it was delicious. The portion was huge (no complaints there), and I had leftovers that were just as good later. Always a win. My friend said her coconut shrimp was very tasty, and her piña colada did what it needed to do. I kept it simple with a gin and tonic. Cant go wrong there. The view, my goodness....just watching the sunset on the beach while enjoying a good meal and live entertainment plus company is life!!! Overall, this is easily one of the best spots we've been to and totally up there with Duke's. Planning on returning in November 2026!!!!

Loved everything about this restaurant. The ambiance is just fantastic and you can't compete with the sunset view. Had the tuna stack and watermelon salad and both were divine. Had a lychee martini and a rye tai that were both exquisite. The catch of the day over coconut rice was superb and my wife loved the snapper. Sensational service as well. Validated valet parking at the hotel below the restaurant.

We came back but this time with a huge party of 15 people! Our server Logan was sooooo sweet! She was very attentive and helpful and had such a happy attitude the entire time. Delicious arancini balls, guava ribs, and coconut shrimp!

We walked in for a very late dinner after the 4th of July fireworks. The restaurant was popping! So much foot traffic and live music. The wait wasn't too bad - it was 15-20 mins wait and the three hostess ladies were very friendly and nice. We got seated near the live musicians so it was a bit loud. The server was nice. After I placed the order, I realized I didn't ask her if they could make the potato without garlic. She rushed to the kitchen to double check. She asked if I wanted to replace the mashed potatoes with a salad I said okay so when the food came out it was a surprise that it became a salmon salad. I wanted the bok choy along with the salmon and the salad but it's okay. I just didn't think a salmon salad is worth $39 (same price as the prime rib entree). My fiancée ordered the prime rib it was okay. We also ordered two drinks- it included the take home glass cup, we thought it might have been one of those tiki glasses but it was the glass cup that says tiki Waikiki. Overall it was a fun experience and I feel like the service was great.

I was staying at the hotel across the street when my group decided to go have drinks and appetizers, we ventured out to Tikis. We didn't have reservations we found out that there was a big line so we decided to go to the bar and you can order from the bar and then have a seat at a table. The drinks were a bit pricier than are at our hotel. Average price was $24 for a drink while we did order some drinks. They were not very strong, very weak more fruity than alcohol.. Atmosphere was fun, but we decided to go back to our hotel which was around $14 for a mai tai.

Great spot for dinner and sunset Butterfly martini and the sunset

For their sandwiches, do they have a gluten-free or sourdough bread option?

Unfortunately there are not gluten free bread options. Sandwiches can be made without the bread, and can be substituted with salad greens, or rice.

Are they still offering happy hour from 2-5 with the limited menu?

We were there last Sunday and no mention of HH when asked about it. In fact there is no more kama aina rates and the once great deal on prime rib for about $15 is now $30. They took a big hit during COVID 19 and apparently are in a catch up mode…

To my surprise, on a Sunday evening after having dinner nearby at Maze, my wife and I walked over to Bar Leather Apron and we were able to get seated right away! In fact, around 7:30 p.m. when we stopped by, there was actually a ton of seating available in the bar. Who would've guessed. If you're in the same boat as me and are unable to find a reservation for your upcoming visit, I would encourage you to stop by and try a walk-in. The first page of the menu lists a wide variety of whiskey based cocktails. Most -- if not all, of the cocktails are pre-fixed with BLA (Bar Leather Apron), and represent a collaboration with the named distillery. If you're fan of whiskey, you'll definitely have a difficult time picking only one. I ultimately ordered their "Take Warning" -- 2021 BLA Knob Creek BLA Single Barrel, Cynar, Carpano Antica, Mezcal, Bergamot Salt. Drinks here are not cheap -- averaging $20 to $25 per drink. Although my drink was very spirit forward, it still felt very well balanced. I appreciated the hint of smokiness from the mezcal that rounded out the end of a sip. Service here quick and friendly. When we received the check, a cute small chocolate snack was brought over as well, borrowed from the menu at Maze. Overall, I can see why Bar Leather Apron has earned so many accolades in its field. Definitely worth a stop by if you enjoy the art of mixology.

We started our vacation with dinner at the Hideout, and upon entering you could immediately hear live music. We received a warm welcome, and brought over to our booth where our server Kai was quick to greet us. We ordered cocktails (I don't remember the name of mine. It's something spritz, and my husband tried the banana bread old fashioned) and we shared the appetizer platter (brussel sprouts with pork belly, kalua pork egg rolls, poke tacos, and edamame)to share. We also ordered the garlic shrimp dumplings. Everything was super tasty. Lots of other items on the menu that I want to try during another visit to the island.

Stressful from the start…read more I called to inquire about parking a week prior to my rsv and was told they were sold out for the night. I mentioned that it was just a general question and i wasn't coming that night. They informed me that it's validated for two hours and it's first come first serve. After the 2 hours its $14 an hour. Getting into the valet area was stressful enough as there was a car parked right before you turn and pedestrians that walk back and forth from their main driveway entrance. I also had to wait for valet for a bit too as there was 2 other cars in front of me and probably only 2 valet on duty trying to move cars forward. Reservations can be made on open table, but there was really no point to doing that since it's open seating during happy hour times. We ended up just picking a table that was in the shade, and noticed they only have their menu by QR code which is kinda annoying. The server was pretty nice tho and he brought my dog some water mid way. Their happy hour runs from 2-6 and the menu is slightly less expensive. The food was kind of standard hotel type of food and nothing really stood out. Otherwise the vibes at the restaurant was nice and i do like that they allow dogs to join you. it seems like they have live music after a certain time. I was even more annoyed and stressed with the valet when i went to pick up my car. They literally just handed me my keys. My car was parked along the wall probably 20 steps away, but they could have at least taken out my car cause it was so hard to get out, but i guess it's nice they trust that i wont bang the car in front of back of me i guess even tho im a pretty terrible parker. at the time they didn't look as busy as when i first arrived, so i dont know why they couldn't have just done the bare minimum with just pulling out my car from the stall.

What surprised me most was how good the food was for the price. Usually spots with this kind of atmosphere rely on the drinks to carry the experience, but every dish actually delivered. The chicken karaage was crispy and packed with flavor, the beef takoyaki disappeared almost instantly, and the taro chips with mascarpone were such a unique combination. Between the cocktails, food, service, and atmosphere, everything just worked.

The owner is Steve Aoki, of Aoki Group, and son of daredevil and entrepreneur, Rocky Aoki. The staff were super nice. The brunette (Ellie?) working Sat, 4/25 was super friendly, and worked her ass off. The Azn fellow who also took care of us let us look at the bottles of special bourbon we drank: Four Roses & Blantons both tr the Aoki Collection. Regarding the ambiance its whimsical inside. I didn't look on the lanai, but I understand you can smoke cigars out there. The background music was jazz and the occasional Motown hit (Stylistics). My cuz who lives in Kaimukī has neva been to RM 38. I promised to add him to the res next time. Its a lot easier to get in vs another speakeasy in Chinatown, and its walking distance from where I always stay at the Moana.
