I had a clear view of the pizza oven from where I was parked. I went in and figured I would be early but found out that one of the boxes on top of the oven was mine. The owner, took the slip out of the box and handed the box to the girl and said it was my pizza. That would mean that they made my pizza in 10 minutes...really? I live in Parkerford which is about 4 miles down the highway. When I got home, the pizza was warm, at best. When taking a slice from the box it was straight....know how the triangle part will bend down? Not this, straight as a board. This pizza was old. Someone probably didn't show up and the owner decided to capture their money from the first sucker. Funny thing is, we visit this place once a month but have found their quality going downhill. Thank heaven we have an air fryer to try to rejuvenate this lifeless piece of food (wanted to use a different word) but it only did so much. Bye Sal's....the old owner a while back was great. The first disappointment was that this restaurant still advertises itself online as BYOB. We arrived with our favorite bottle of red wine only to be told they no longer allow BYOB. Normally, that wouldn't have been an issue--we would have happily ordered wine from the restaurant. The problem was the beverage selection. They handed us a drink menu that offered essentially one very inexpensive wine option, with no cocktails or meaningful wine selection. If you're going to eliminate BYOB, that's completely understandable--but you should offer a beverage program that justifies the change. The food experience didn't improve things. We ordered several hot sandwiches, which apparently meant the complimentary garlic bread was no longer included. Instead, we were charged an additional $6 for garlic bread and a small side of sauce. What arrived was one tiny piece of bread that was barely buttered and hardly resembled garlic bread at all. Charging extra for something that underwhelming was honestly surprising. To make matters worse, our waiter got our order wrong and then charged us for his mistake. Overall, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. Between the misleading BYOB advertising, the poor drink options, the disappointing garlic bread, and the billing error, we won't be returning. It's a shame, because this used to be one of our favorite places.

What stood out to me immediately was the quality of the ingredients. The bun was incredibly fresh--almost like it had come out of the oven right before I walked in. Then there's the steak: tender, flavorful, and they absolutely load this thing up. There is no shortage of meat here. And then the Cooper Sharp hits you. That cheese announces itself from the very first bite. Rich, creamy, and unmistakable. But honestly, even the sesame seeds on this roll deserve some recognition. Sesame seeds are usually one of those subtle little touches that I barely notice and certainly don't expect to make much of a difference. Somehow, these actually pop. I've never had sesame seeds on a cheesesteak roll stand out like this. This is about as authentic as it gets. Now, I do have one warning: this sandwich is enormous. And not only is it huge, it might legitimately be one of the richest sandwiches I've ever eaten. Eventually, I had to throw in the towel. And that's not a complaint--it's actually an incredible value. Just make sure you come here absolutely starving... or bring a friend. Nicky's and Ant's is the real deal. You don't have to be in Philly to get a legit cheesesteak. Apparently, Pottstown is holding its own.

Their Cheese Steaks are very large, packed with meat and in my opinion "the best in Pottstown", and I've yet to find anything better in Montco. Their fries are great and they have the best onion rings. They offer fries with many different toppings. The staff is very friendly and the pizzeria is clean. I do recommend you try Mike's Brick Oven, you will not be disappointed.
