The cheesesteak definitely tasted like steakums, ya know that pre sliced stuff in the frozen section. The bus was too large for the amount of meat given, but the bread was good. The salad was solid for a side, fresh toppings, nothing brown, dressing was good but tasted store bought. The service was slow for how dead it was, the bartender was good for daytime service, nice guy, but I'd hate to see how that panned out on a busy night. Great space, nice decor, lighting, very clean. Lots of potential, several places have failed in this spot, hopefully they work the kinks out. (I didn't eat the other items pictured)

Since the Blue Feather opened, my husband and I have tried our best to sneak out for a date night whenever our son is with his grandparents. We love their offerings (both food and drink), and the service has always been delightful. My personal favorite has been the steak tips in garlic butter, Parmesan fries, and béarnaise sauce. Their craft cocktails are always interesting and well-balanced; I've yet to have one I don't enjoy. Needless to say, check out The Blue Feather. It's a gem in Lewiston, and I truly hope that they stick around for a good, long time.

Fresh and hot defined these apps perfectly! The sticks were warm and stringy, the pretzels were warm, soft, and salty. The cheese dip was actually delicious and tasted nothing like a can mix. For the main courses we had the home made mac and cheese that was topped with pulled pork which was sauced in Sweet Baby Rays and the Loaded Nachos topped with the Firehouse's award winning chili. The food all came out sized for a table of 8 with savory and sweet hints of deliciousness! The waitress was welcoming, outgoing, and offered sound advice on food choices. The cook staff was timely and efficient, and the bar tender was busy busy slinging cups full of the nectar of God (BEER!!)! The Firehouse House ambience lived up to the name with firefighter equipment, first responder memorabilia, and crafty decor. The only downside to this establishment is that is dark and throws a dive bar vibe. 9/10... we will be coming back here for sure (and ordering less food)!!

We get there at 10:57 and didn't want to impose but Jackie said she would take care of us. (Party of 5). She mentioned a smoky old fashioned and I jumped at the chance. It was a slow Tuesday night and she took care of us even though she didn't have to. She was amazing and so was the drink. This is what L/A is all about. Thank you so much to Gritty's and to Jackie!!!!

We were surprised to see a pile of jalapeños included - maybe it's on the menu and we missed it. Corn bread was moist. I opted for a build your own burger which was great. No bun, lettuce and tomato. The waitress told me to just tell her what I wanted on it and she'd get it for me. Cool. She didn't tell me I would be charged an extra $1 for a tiny bit of spinach, and 75 cents each for grilled onions and mushrooms. Not cool. I definitely would have just selected an "already made" option. I asked for sautéed mushrooms and onions so was a little surprised to get deep fried shrooms. There were good - I would probably order, and even be willing to pay extra, for them again. My issue was not being told. The seasoned fries were really good. The iced tea and Hazy IPA were (of course) good. Our waitress was a bit too attentive. It seemed almost like every time we took a bite, she was asking if everything was okay. Maybe just check in a couple times over the course of the meal? Please do remember that 3 is not bad. For me, it's a solid average.

I never really considered checking it out until my in-laws suggested we go for lunch one day. I always just saw the sign and kept on driving. Now, it is good... and as a bariatric patient, I am usually pretty hesitant to try new places simply because of my restrictions; however, I was pleased to find that there were options that worked for my post-op food plan. Yes, there's a lot of fried options, and there's a lot of pasta, but the stir-fry is what got me saying, "yeah I'll give it a go," and later, "yeah, I'd come back." The food has been consistent, and with a young child (who is a fantastic eater and not that picky... but still), that's huge for us. The service has always been great. They are accommodating, punctual, and friendly. Our most recent visit was extra impressive, because our server happily made sure to spend a little extra time and had so much patience with my five year old who is learning how to order for himself. Give it a go, friends. It's a pretty solid spot.

Called to order the usual, Luncheon size gulf shrimp with onion rings ($3extra) with a garden salad, a meal that I always had left overs for the next day. I was informed that that was no longer offered. I agreed to order what was previously called a dinner portion knowing I would have plenty of left overs for a couple meals. Cost- $17 with the added onion rings. Picked up the order, got to the car, vented the container so the onion rings wouldn't get soggy on my 15 minute ride home. Boy, was I glad I peeked. I was shocked at what I saw, a very small amount of (10 gulf shrimp) even a smaller than the Luncheon portion EVER was. Thinking a mistake had been made I walked back into the restaurant to point out the error. NO ERROR was made, the order was correct. I opened the container so they could see and they only added the shrimp had been weighed and the amount was correct. The food was good as always and well prepared. I did enjoy it knowing it would be my last. Goodby and thank you decades of enjoyable food. The standards have changed, and I am sympathetic to raising operating costs, or the need to show increase profits, or what ever the reason, maybe they could be courteous and inform the customers of the changes before ordering. Might have taken the shock factor out of my last experience with them.

Very personable and so passionate about this new life chapter with is wife (new owners since Feb. 2025). Everything is made to order so there can be a wait. Plus it gets busy at lunch. We suggest ordering your drink and maybe an appetizer while you study the menu. The mussels were amazing!!! Bigger than Prince Edward Island in a roasted tomato and chorizo sauce. Served with grilled buttered/seasoned sourdough bread. We brought the remaining sauce home. My husband ordered the beer battered fresh haddock sandwich with fries. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with cheese and bbq sauce on toasted sourdough. Also served with fries. Both so amazing. We had the the flour less chocolate torte with vanilla ice cream. The torte was very dense and rich. So good. The ice cream cut some of the richness. So elegant inside with the exposed brick, concrete floors and beautiful decorating. They take it up a notch with everything they do. Water served once you are seated. Silverware rolled in cloth napkins. Sourdough bread. No feeling that you have to rush through your meal. A little extra in food presentation; ketchup in a little dish with the fries for example. Great fries by the way. The outdoor dining area is set up with greenery to keep it private and decorated with little lights for that romantic feel. On Lincoln Street in the Bates Mill building. Please come visit Ryan and the staff. The prices are reasonable and they also serve dinner. Very happy.
