Great alcoholic drinks! On a hot day (almost every day in Central Florida) they have three frozen drinks to choose from. My favorite is The Hungry Tusker= Amanda African Cream Liquor, Hula Hawaiian Dark Rum,coconut and pineapple. Second fav is The Serengeti Sunrise = Flor De Cana Rum, tropical flavors with fresh strawberry and orange. These are $13.99 plus Busch Gardens 5% inflation upcharge (why not just out the correct figure on the electronic TV board?). Once in hand either head to the pass holder lounge above (when it's open, typically before 4p) or along the glass for views of the giraffes and zebra on the plain. There is outdoor seating when it's nice outside. This is one of the nicest and coolest places at Busch Gardens. Just wish the food at the adjacent restaurant was better. read more

Friendly service. Service does take a while for a drink. Especially since the cocktails are on tap. I sampled the mojito & thorn & berry. I went with the margarita, it was refreshing with a hint of spice. The beer flight was good as well, I preferred the darker ones. Nice size bar & plenty of seating. The eating areas needed to be cleaned. The tables weren't wiped. I did see staff going around sweeping & emptying trash. I would order the mojito next visit. Pretty good experience. read more

What a great find during Howl-O-Scream! I haven't been a BG passholder for more than 5 years (and maybe closer to a decade), so I'm not very familiar with current food options, especially during events. We'd visited HOS on the first weekend of 2021 but didn't get any food. So, on this night, a few days before Halloween, we wandered around looking for food that wasn't a snack. After spotting the signage, we still weren't entirely sure the Giraffe Bar was open, and if they were serving food. Lucky for us, they were indeed open with a full bar but very limited food menu. Here we found a very short line with a tiny food menu and two different beer flights. We decided to split the Smoked Beef Brisket Mac between the two of us. Not sure what to expect, I was delightfully surprised at how delicious & flavorful this entree was! The sweet coleslaw topping was a tasty contrast to the brisket & cheesy pasta, and I don't usually like coleslaw. The BBQ sauce was also rather sweet but also smoky & maply, which I loved. I loved that the available beers were locally brewed Florida craft beers! Of course I was interested in a flight, but I was surprised my non-beer-loving friend was intrigued as well. So we asked the cashier which flight might be better for a beer novice & she recommended the first flight, The Toucan, because those beers were ales and sweeter. Our favorite was You're My Boy, Blue (Brew Bus Brewing), but all four were great. Passion of the Heights from Florida Ave Brewing was a close second for me. The rest of the flight included Graffiti Orange Wheat by 7venth Sun Brewery and Raging Eagle from Yuengling, both of which I also enjoyed. Seating here during HOS was great... Nearly every table was open! The queue was ridiculously short and my passholder friend was surprised how uncrowded this restaurant was. This is located inside right across from the Cheetah Hunt ride. Either go up the stairs or do around the building for the elevator. FYI, elevator is not air conditioned. They have a full service bar and indoor and outdoor seating. Seating is open so you don't need a reservation or wait to be seated. Seating inside also available at the bar. Love that you can sit and watch the animals on the Serengeti. I love giraffes so it was just so relaxing to sit and watch them after walking around the park all day. Great area to sit and relax and cool off. If you're hungry there is also a food bar within the same building across from the Giraffe bar. Just walk over and go through the line for your food and soda refills. 4 stars as they could do a better job at wiping down the tables and seating areas when others leave. It's a nice place to go in, grab a drink, get the loaded hummus, and just sit and relax for a bit. We enjoy sitting where we can overlook the Serengeti. The bartender was quick with our drinks. All of the mixed drinks are on tap, so that can come across a bit strange. However, we found that the Margaritas and the Loaded Hummus are a great combination! read more

Nice option for a quick bite or drinks while at Busch gardens. I got the brisket Mac that was heavenly as well as the spicy pineapple Marg that was surprisingly very very good for being a batch made drink. Also add the great view over the safari and it was a great experience. read more

The Giraffe bar features panoramic indoor and outdoor views of the park's expansive Serengeti Plain. The spacious indoor/outdoor venue offers shaded and air-conditioned comfort, with plenty of space for physical distancing. The Giraffe Bar serves 3 types of frozen cocktails, 3 types of hand crafted cocktails, 2 different beer flights, 8 types of locally brewed Florida beers, and 3 bar bite options. The Toucan beer flight presented on a hand carved Giraffe Paddle included the Raging Eagle Mango Pilsner by Yuengling 8/10, the Graffiti Orange Wheat by 7venth Sun 9/10, Passion of the Heights by Florida Avenue Brewing. 8/10, and You're My Boy Blue by Brew Bus Brewing 10/10. The Thorn & Berry cocktail consists of Monkey Shoulder Whiskey, Blackberries, Fresh Mint, Lemon and had a great flavor. 9/10 The Masai Margarita cocktail consists of Milagro Silver Tequila, Spicy Pineapple, Lime and was way too spicy for my taste. 6/10 The Sparkling Madagascar Mojito consists of Starr African Rum, Mint, & Lime. 8/10 The The Hungry Tusker frozen cocktail consists of Amarula African Cream Liqueur, Hula Hawaiian Dark Rum, Coconut, Pineapple and is a lot like a pina colada! 10/10 The Serengeti Sunrise consists of Flor de Caña Rum, Strawberry and Orange and was not my favorite. 7/10 The Smoked Beef Brisket Mac came with truffle Mac & Cheese, daikon slaw, scallions. 8/10 The Giraffe shaped soft pretzel came with house made beer cheese sauce. The chef really did a good job making a giraffe shape out of the pretzel dough. However, I'm not a big fan of pretzels in general. 7/10 The Loaded Hummus came with Pita Chips, Olive Tapenade, Daikon Slaw, & Chili oil. The portion size was on the small side and may leave you hungry if you don't get something else. I'm not a big fan of hummus unless it has some red pepper spice to add extra flavor. 7/10 Busch Gardens did a great job with all the African inspired and Giraffe inspired Theming for the drinks and foods at this bar. The Giraffe bar could probably use some more giraffe wall art. There were only 2 giraffe wall arts in this restaurant but there definitely could have been a lot more. I look forward to trying more off the menu if management adds more options to their menu and coming back for the opening of the Tree Top Kitchen! read more

We come to the giraffe bar often since they offer the best drinks in the park. Never have an issue with any of the bartenders. The only issue we ever have is with the bartender, Vanessa. We always come to the backside counter area that is left of the bar to order. I've literally always ordered drinks here. She was condescending and treated my like I was trying to get away with something by ordering there. If that's not a designated place to order drinks, why is there a menu on the wall and a point of sale station. Don't treat a customer like they're doing something wrong. Isn't a good look. read more

Four stars is probably a stretch. I wish I could give 3.5. First, it's a theme park bad so it's important to have the right expectations. The lines and waits are frequently long and the people are not always friendly. There's also a severe lack of indoor seating. Bush gardens in Tampa Bay Area now has a giraffe bar! I saw the advertisements for it on Tik tok and instagram. What grabbed my attention was the beer flight that came with A GIRAFFE SHAPED BOARD to hold the beer !! oh my god have to get it , I'm obsessed. I'm not a huge beer drinker but I'll take it. I get to bush garden and run from the beginning of the park over to the giraffe bar, waiting in line looking at the menu trying to read which one would get me the board. I didn't see it there so I was like okay. They should have it , it's been advertised and still is being advertised. I think to myself if not , they have a giraffe shaped soft pretzels so at least I'd get something that is giraffe themed.I'm a huge giraffe fan ! Since god knows when. Not to mention giraffe day is on my birthday June 21!!!! my screensaver as we speak is a giraffe. Anyways In line for about 5 to 10 mins , just speaking with my brother admiring the scenery, saying how I loved the employees shirts I wish I could buy one! So eventually my brother and I get up to the front. We begin to order it's a lil hard to hear but I asked him if they had the boards he advised they did it's a container so I'm thinking it's a container shaped giraffe. We order a sunrise drink with a strawberry edible straw which was really good probably the only good thing. The man starts pouring up the beer and BRINGS OVER A SQUARE SHAPED BOX TO HOLD THE BEER!!! Omg if I'd known it came in that!! I wouldn't have gotten it !!! So I asked hey I see the boards over there do I have to pay extra , I don't mind doing that. Then states the boards are only for those sitting at the bar they get stolen outside. I then asked okay do you have the giraffe pretzel he said no the machine is broken. Very disappointing experience. As a business that makes a good amount of money. Give the experience of something. if it isn't working find something that will work so customers like myself can enjoy and feel amazing when they come here not disappointed and upset. read more
