I love this place! The food, the people, the whole vibe. The food is quite good and prepared to your liking. The coffee is fresh and hot and plenty of it. Not my first time here but I brought my brother here for his first time for brunch and I laughed as he couldn't finish his Vegas Omelet. I housed down three slices of the Apple Caramel French Toast and a side of sausage links. I still prefer pancakes but wanted to give these a try. Did not need any syrup which was a first for me. Great value for portion size. I certainly prefer here over Angles downtown. Drive the extra two minutes up the road, well worth it. Good lord! Where do I start? Stopped for lunch. The website menu is a far cry from what they actually offer when you sit down. There were about 5 choices. I attempted to get a steak and cheese grinder. Server said that grinder rolls were "out of season" and all she had was bulkies? Okay, well this nasty little pile of brown (inedible) meat was served on a hamburger bun! My partner's so called "Rueben" had about an 1/8th of an ounce of nasty corned beef on a dried out marbled rye bread that was around awhile. The place is dirty and cluttered in silly trinkets and nasty plants all over the place. Perhaps this place should just stick to slopping out breakfast to the regulars and take the lunch thing down. We are new to the area and tried this for the first time the other day, as we are looking for a new diner to go to regularly. We waited for over 15 minutes before the waitress showed up to take our order (and no, it wasn't busy). The cook actually got drinks for us after 10 minutes of waiting. I ordered an omelet with swiss cheese and mushrooms . . . and they put american cheese in it instead of swiss. Hmmm. Too hungry to send it back at that point and didn't see the waitress to tell her. The english muffin was barely toasted - no real color. On the plus side, the omelet was of a decent size and would have been good, had it been what I ordered. So bad it was almost funny. As for the food: Unseasoned potatoes. The breakfast sandwich was literally saturated in butter.I like butter but this was crazy. They throw powdered sugar and whipped cream on every sweet item, (even when you ask them not to) as if that will make it better. The booth seats are badly cracked, and chairs are sagging and uncomfortable. It was also quite cold inside. They won't give you a glass of water, you have to pay for bottled. They can't spell. Girly's, if you are going to make placemats and T-shirts with a slogan on it, please get someone to spell check it for you. The phrase is "get YOUR fill," not "u're." I am redoing a review now that the owner has decided she needs to not only up prices which I totally understand but to also give less food for the new price. I was a loyal customer for 2 years even though service is usually sub par with the ever revolving waitresses. But now to come and see that these girls don't know what they are doing and the one who had been here longest is sitting and chatting with people. The food has also really suffered. The omelette we got was dry and all of our toast was barely toasted and had the slightest dab of butter on it. Cost saving of course. The pancakes are now half the size and the "real" syrup doesn't even taste of maple. We ordered sausage links and when they came out as maple patties she said oops we don't have them anymore. Too bad because they were good. I can't trust the product quality you choose to buy anymore. When I protested about the changes they just said the owner is trying to save money. Well girly I give you a year now that you've gone and raised the price and made the portions smaller. That won't work with so much competition in the area. It's a downside for road-trippers like us to find a pleasant little place like Girly's and realize it's just too far from home to make it "ours". But for that, we'd be back and back and back for the good food and the warmest welcomes we can remember. I'll just mention the sausage gravy and the hot apple muffin, which were both best-ever quality, but it was the fun chats and genuine glad-to-see-you feelings we got that had us within an inch of filing adoption papers for both owner and waitress. In a diner, being fed is good, but when you're well cared for, well, that's when you realize life is truly good. My wife and I travel the back roads of America, ferreting out unpretentious Main-Street eateries where orders are still called out as "audibles", waitresses call you "Hon", and the coffee is endless. Outmaneuvered by the styrofoam sameness of fast-food places "out on the highway", these places are disappearing rapidly. Let's keep them afloat. They are part of our fading American way, our children's look into the magic mirror of the past. Don't let them slip away. 36 Min wait for the absolute worst food i have ever tasted with only 2 other customers in the place !! OJ was so bitter we returned it , Coffee was luke warm and tasted like it was made 3 days ago . When the Food Came out after waiting 35 minutes it was not even edible, Eggs tasted like powder and homfries were hard as rocks . It sometime amazes me how long you wait to try something and then when you do, you wonder why it took so long. Friendly Staff is just the beginning, the menu has an abundance of choices and the portions can feed multiple people, couple at that with prices that are reasonable and fair. To find a diner that serves kielbasa in a omelet (6 six eggs no less), was indeed a serendipitous event and incredible delicious. All out of rye toast at 10:30 on a Sunday. Sausage patties are like hockey pucks. The not very bright girly girls hand out the plates and say they don't know which belongs to who, figure it out on your own I guess. As I previously mentioned I wanted to get back to Girly's Grill and I did this past week. I'm sorry to say it was monumentally disappointing and now I know why this place isn't busier. The thing is you really want to like this quaint little establishment so from my experience and in my opinion there is a reason why they are not bustling and it's not the economy. From both of my experiences it's the inconsistency of the food. I ordered a blueberry muffin because I over heard the waitress say they were the only home made desserts. Rant:. It's a crime a place like this doesn't have home made apple pie, blueberry pie, bread pudding, Indian pudding, grapenut pudding. The previously mentioned desserts are easy to make, store well and are something one would expect in a quaint sole proprietor dinner like this. Case in point 2 out of 4 people on my visit asked about dessert. Back to da muffin, man! I was asked if I wanted it griddled w/butter. I said no but why does it need it? Is it a cple days old and needs to be heated up?? I was told, "no it's nice & fresh". It wasn't fresh at all, it was as hard and dense as a scone and I could tell by the taste of the blueberries their was nothing home made about this blueberry muffin except it was out of a packet or mix & baked there. Shame! I got eggs Benedict w/ home fries and I asked if the HF were grilled with onions/peppers. I was told I could get a side of "Loaded Home Fries" and they would be prepared on the grill. I should have known better, but I didn't want to second guess ... they very dry and more like pieces of boiled diced potato over seasoned with some (I believe) pre-fab seasoning mix. It tasted like I was eating shake-n-bake potatoes with way too much salt/seasoning left on them. When the starch man won't eat the potatoes there is a problem! The Benedict part of the meal was good. I got a side of Portuguese French Toast, it was dry. Something I find monumentally disappointing is when they "flash" dunk the bread in the batter so you end up cutting into something more like bread that has been on the grill. I think the owner of the Girly's has lost her passion for her business. I hope she finds it or someone gives her a wake-up call or I see this place going under. I say that also based on what I heard/saw with the 4-5 other people there when I went. Also, you'd think after I told the waitress the muffin wasn't good and she saw I didn't eat "the Loaded Fries" which btw I paid $4 extra for that she would have at least scratched the muffin off the bill. Nope I believe I paid almost $18 without tip or bev. for 50% of a meal I didn't eat .... Not good! Despite what I've said I'm rooting for her and I may (?) go back but only on a Friday for fish. read more

The lady who was cooking was singing and super friendly, that was nice to see. Another female who worked there was fantastic at refilling my husbands coffee in a timely manner. My favorite breakfast place! . The atmosphere is always very friendly. The wait staff is always in a good mood AND remembers how I like my coffee and my favorite breakfast. I have felt like a welcomed friend from the first time I stopped there. The food is very good and very plentiful. Lots of variety and EVERYTHING (except the corned beef hash) is home made. For those who are concerned about wait staff turn-over LEAVE BIGGER TIPS! The food is so reasonably priced and there are so few tables that if you are only tipping 20% a waitress probably struggles for gas money to get to work. I ordered the 2 slices with only strawberry topping because I found the toppings expensive. Instead I got 1 slice of french toast and 1 end crust, which I don't consider a full slice. My partners meal was just as disappointing, the home fries were tasteless and the egg sandwich with cheese was bland. My first time here, my wife was in the hospital. I was feeling lonely and decided to stop by. I sat at the counter and was absolutely STUNNED by how AMAZING & KIND the waitress and owner were!!! They went outta there way to give me what I wanted! I couldn't decide between eggs benedict and french toast, they ended up making me a small order of both!! And refused to charge me full price for them when I offered!! They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and welcomed and really truly did!! Today I came back With my wife and am even more pleased with the true hometown feel!! Girly is so kind and outgoing! Willing to stay open longer and not once made us feel rushed! Actually stopped and chatted with us multiple times Food is INCREDIBLE!!!! She makes it all to order... It's not McDonald's so it might take a few minutes to get ur order but it's worth it! This place is disgusting, I ordered an egg sandwich with over medium eggs and they gave me scrambled eggs instead I asked for NO bacon and they added bacon, they also added a slap of ham on top of my sandwich which made my sandwich soggy and the potatoes that came with my food were all in pieces and I got like only three whole pieces. The food taste like garbage I had to throw it out.
