Had the character meal family style breakfast here. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and hard working. About every half an hour to forty minutes a Great Wolf character dances out to music to greet the guests and take pictures. It was cute. The all you can eat family style meal is about $13.99 for adults and $8.99 for kids through ten years old. It comes with pancakes, eggs, bacon, potatoes, sausage, fruit, pastries, and drinks. Plus you can order a custom made omelette. The food was pretty good, standard buffet fare, probably about a three. I liked the omelettes, and you can get refills of any item you like. The bacon was tasty, and I liked the pancakes. It's pretty convenient to have a leisurely breakfast before a day at the water park. The meal is slightly pricey, but this hotel has great deals on rooms, which lowers the price overall compared to other resorts in the area. If you typically pay for character meals on vacations this one is considerably less. Although I didn't get a package that included breakfast, I believe this hotel offers deals that include meal vouchers. Plus they had many birthdays this weekend, and it makes a fun birthday breakfast activity. The hotel was sold out, but the restaurant was not overcrowded so the food came fast, hot, and fresh. Service and location was a huge plus but the food was very average. Nothing special nothing awful. For breakfast you only have 5 options on the menu. There is no kids menu also. Portions are generous but should have a smaller option for kids. Luckily the waitress told us that before and recommended the kids sharing a portion. Everything was clean. If you don't have a choice to leave for diner then it will suffice but if you can leave I would recommend a place outside of the water park. read more

So awful! I paid $10 for the worlds smallest salad with brown lettuce. Service was just ok. Everyone seems like they hate their jobs. The best the on the menu was the cookie dessert. DO NOT order the mojitos (or probably any other drink they have to mix). I'm a bartender and they don't make them correctly...at all...and taste like toothpaste. They don't even muddle mint leaves with sugar!!! Do not eat here, just have fun at the water park and go elsewhere for food. My star review is mainly because of the menu. After sitting down and ordering drinks we found that there wasn't much on the menu that appealed to us. Best way to describe their kid options is weird. My son was starving so we ordered the only normal thing which was chicken and fries. This was good. But there was odd things like pancake Mac n cheese. What?! My kids are not that adventurous in food at all. Our waitress was kind and attentive. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. But just wasn't for us. Probably should've looked at the menu first. This place was a disaster! The service for our dinner was rude, the food was cold. For $121 I was highly disappointed and tipped accordingly. To top it off, we got the breakfast plan with our stay. We checked in at 9:32am and were told it would be 20-30 minute wait. Ok no problem there. 45 minutes go by and I check with the hostess and she was completely rude and told me they were very busy and it would be 15-20. So I walk around the restaurant and there are at least half the tables with no one in them. And another 6 tables that hadn't been cleaned yet. Went back to check with the hostess after 30 minutes as we were second in line on the app. And once again the same spiel was told another 15-20 minutes. By this time it was almost 11:30am and breakfast was almost over. So save your money and got to one of the many restaurants outside the resort and enjoy your breakfast. The only reason I would ever go to great Wolf is for the waterpark, and that is all the food from everywhere else was subpar at best. read more

We purchased a meal plan for one night and they stay. I had the ribeye steak for dinner on the menu it was $39.99. But with the meal plan the steak only cost me about $11.50. For a steak it was definitely worth $11 the $40 it was not. Rest of the family mostly enjoyed the food it was OK. Great service. The breakfast was mostly garbage. The wait staff was pretty awesome service was really good put the food sucks. I asked the waitress how they prepared and if any of it was fresh. She said it's all cooked early that morning and kept warm. You could just tell that the food was not fresh the cinnamon roll was horrible so potatoes were horrible the bacon was weird sausage OK pancakes OK. I strongly recommend that you just skip breakfast and go to a local restaurant or bring your own. The bottom line is this is a restaurant and you can have all of the great service you want but if you put a turd on the plate it's still a turd and I want to enjoy my food when I'm on vacation. read more

Food was mediocre at best but Alicia was an OUTSTANDING waitress and the reason for 4 stars instead of 3. Alicia was attentive and made sure to ask if we wanted refills on breakfast and our drinks were always fresh. The home fries were nice and crispy like I like them and the cinnamon rolls were warm and delicious. We also ate dinner here and shared the BBQ chicken meal. Do not waste your money on the breakfast "buffet". The greeter was rude, but at least the waitstaff is friendly (that's why it is two stars instead of one). The "buffet" was them bringing plates of cotton candy sweet rubbery pancakes, weird tasting scrambled eggs, ok sausage, limp bacon, mushy fruit, and potatoes that are deep fried. Your reservations do not matter. If you have a mini fridge in your room you might be better off with cereal for breakfast or grabbing Dunkin Donuts. read more

We've eaten here last year while visiting Great Wolf Lodge and I don't remember having such a terrible experience so naturally, we ate here again. I will say never again will we make that mistake. I should have read the yelp reviews before dining here. We waited over 45 minutes for cheeseburgers and Mac n cheese. The food was sub par and incredibly over priced, and I agree with another review that the employees all appeared to hate their lives. So disappointed. Our 1 year old was getting very upset because he was hungry and now tired, since this now ran into bedtime and not once did she come over to see if we needed anything, not even refills. If you are looking for a place to eat while staying at Great Wolf Lodge, you have 2 choices that are better than eating here. The first choice would be any other place in town or second pack it yourself. How can a place be so proud of an executive chef claim the food is good. 3.5 stars. I was pleasantly surprised on the food here. It's located inside the great wolf lodge and has generally American style food. I tried the radiatore pasta...it was quite tasty. The sauce was much lighter than I expected, especially for a cream sauce. It was not spicy despite the Cajun style it claimed. However, it still boasted great Cajun flavor and the chorizo was a nice touch as well. I was also able to try the chicken sandwich. It was delicious. Despite the heavy ingredients (bacon, fried cheese - yeah I know) it wasn't greasy and sloppy. The atmosphere was nice too...the plane over the bar was pretty cool If you stay in the lodge, it's a great place to have a meal. You don't need to leave the premises to dine. It's a touch pricey, but I suppose that's expected. read more

The breakfast food and service is amazing and that's pretty much the only redeeming quality. The dinner staff was horrible. They never talked to us after we were seated or during our meal and when they took our order they left out food options and were rude. When the food came out it was gross. The barbecue sauce was cheap and so was the mac and cheese, the biscuit was hard as a rock, the chicken fingers were disguising (no one at my table liked them), and overall all the food we order over our stay was gross. This is the the restaurant that is located inside of Great Wolf Lodge. I was very surprised once we got our food that it was actually very good quality and not just "cheap park food." I thought about getting in the car and driving down the road to any of the numerous places I could have eaten on Milan Rd, but I am glad I didn't. While the cost my have been slightly more it was worth staying in and walking back to my room. Wife had the fajitas and I had Wiley's burger (it has a later of deep fried cheddar cheese) and both were very good. My son had the good ole stand by of chicken tenders. There was also a very nice selection of beers to choose from for the beer snobs out there. I tried the Great Lakes Rye of the Tiger IPA. Great beer if you like a very hoppy tasting beer. Nice strong aftertaste that went great with the Wiley burger. Overall very good experience and good waitstaff. It definitely added to the overall experience of our stay at Great Wolf Lodge. read more

The food overall is decent, but over-priced by a landslide. My family bought a voucher for the "All-You-Can-Eat Family Breakfast" which gave us pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries, fruit, and one drink each, but eat of us payed $13 for our meals and the kids' meals costed $8 each, which in my family of five totaled to nearly 65 dollars for what is frankly was a mediocre (and cold) breakfast. Now I'm not dissing the food, it was alright I guess, but it was more at a value of $20 rather than $65. The service is good and the servers are friendly, but honestly I'd go with eating elsewhere or packing food and eating in the hotel room. TLDR: Skip going to Gitchigoomie, go elsewhere and save your money's worth unless you really have a hankering for something on the menu. I prefer Hungry as a Wolf which is right across the hotel lobby. read more

Wow, this place is bullshit. For a restaurant in a hotel/resort they are incredibly disorganized and poorly run. Reservations made using the greatwolf.com site apparently don't make it to the restaurant. The kid's meals are cheap(ish) at $6, but were so small, each of the kids were ready for another meal as soon as they finished. The burgers, which they tout, are flavorless chunks of meat, the BBQ "feast" was dismal. My daughter who is 14 said "I don't think it was brisket, it was more like flank steak." I expect restaurants like this to be marginally crappy, having a built-in audience, but this one fell so far below expectations it was ridiculous. Don't even get me started on the cost of eating here. I'm trying to block it out. read more

Lunch review. Staying at the resort and decided on this place rather than pizza. It was just ok. The food was fine, but the service was pretty slow/inattentive. It was not busy at all so I'm more sure what the holdup was. Seemed disorganized. Expensive for what you get. My advice is to skip this and opt for the pizza or fast-service joint by the pool for lunch, and go offsite for dinner - plenty of quality chains within a short driving distance. read more

Not many people on a Thursday morning. Seems like there is a lot of superficial cleaning that needs to be done. I know there are a lot of "little" people coming through here on a daily basis but, the table here and in the room was sticky. Sanitizing spray doesn't clean it. It just sanitizes it. We ate breakfast and dinner at this restaurant. I had a $16 dollar bowl of mac and cheese with slices of sausage and bacon in it. The taste was mediocre and would not be recommended. We paid in advance for the all you can eat family style breakfast. I highly recommend doing this, as it is pricey if you do not. Even with the discounted cost, it still was not worth the money. I imagine the eggs were fresh but everything else had the look and taste of being frozen and heated. It felt like a bargain bin breakfast without the bargain price. The staff were friendly and courteous, if it wasn't for the blah food they would of gotten more stars. With it being the only sit down restaurant in Great Wolf Lodge, I highly recommend making a reservation if you do decide to eat there.
