If you've gone in the past, and it wasn't it, it is now. The atmosphere is rustic/western, ambient lighting, and comfortable booth/ high top table seating. The host was manager when we visited and we were sat quickly. The server Maddie was polite, friendly, and quick to serve, she had at least 5 tables and was quick on her feet for refills, sauces, and service. We started with the spicy chicken bites. They tasted fresh, had a great crunch, with excellent flavor. If you are a fan of spicy this is on a 2 to 5 scale. You also are served fresh bread made in house with butter. I ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken / half rack of ribs. They have a combo style for ordering and you can swap things if you'd like, for the price it's great to try something new. The chicken was made perfect. I ended up having to finish the ribs at home, once again, perfect. Yes you could get something more "affordable" but for a date night, or you want to enjoy yourself, the quality is there. We made sure to ask for a manager (if they weren't busy!) to let them know they did a great job. Went there at 8:45pm on a Thurs nite. Place was empty (should've been a queue!) Beers took 30 min to get there. Ince the food was ordered it took another 30 min...we didn't mind as we were catching up but...when the food got there, two of the meals were overcooked and cold. We complained, manager came and said he would take care of the overcooked/cold meals. When the checks came, we got charged regular prices...wtf? Had to remind them to get one meal taken off. Didn't even bother to give them my Longhorn card to get my points, that's how disappointed I was. read more

For a chain steakhouse, the quality was not bad. The ribeye - is recommend (the normal one that is not "outlaw"). The outlaw ribeye was a bit too burnt and charred for me. While it was cooked to my liking (medium) it was dry. I couldn't bring myself to like it due the excessive charring on each bite. The normal ribeye, on the other hand, was nice and juicy and 12 oz (vs the 20 oz outlaw). Some parts were too fatty but overall a nice experience. Sides: sweet potato was nice and sweet. Came with butter which not needed. Broccoli was kid friendly. Shrimp was ok. Banana peppers paired well with shrimp. Actual shrimp was very small. The breading filled a lot of the dish, which i had to take off because it was too much at the end. Nice clean atmosphere. Service was fast and attentive. read more

My wife and I have been there twice in the last month. Both times we went with another couple. Both times we experienced awesome service and food. All 4 of us had perfect meals. That's unheard of anymore. The staff was very attentive and personable. While they were busy, I still felt they had enough time to make sure everyone was happy and taken care of. Great food! My wife and I enjoy coming here for our "Date Night" a couple times a month. We both get a Medium-well steak. I get creamy mashed potatoes with gravy, while she gets a loaded sweet potato and corn on the cob. We both enjoy a delicious Peach Sangria -- doesn't get much better than dinner at Texas Longhorn. This place is the BEST STEAK around. Consistently good at this location but in general, still my go to place! The servers are sooo nice and the cook/s are on point! I love a medium rare leaning toward rare and they did it soooooooo good! I seriously can't say enough good about this place! My first visit to this Longhorn Steakhouse in Sandusky. I was greeted and seated by a wonderful hostess. She had us choose where we would like to sit. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Lately it has really gone downhill. We have given it several tries in the last couple of months, but last night is the last time I will go there. I ordered the 9 piece chicken strips. I got about 4 full strips and about 5 pieces of strips. I asked the manager if these were the normal sizes and she said perhaps they fell apart when they took them out of the fryer. The one strip I held up to her was the size of a chicken nugget and I told her this should not count as one of the strips. She had an attitude about her and said she would get me some more if that would make me happy. She brought me two more strips. Called ahead about getting a name put in to avoid a wait, and was told they don't do that, but to come in and they would seat us as "they weren't experiencing any waits". Showed up 10 min after this phone call only to be told they had a 30-40 min wait for 2. Put our name in and saw multiple people seated ahead. When I questioned the hostess about these groups showing up out of no where and being seated, she said "they called ahead". Very confused. Still sitting at our table 55 min into this and it is clear they are understaffed and just not "on it". Not a great experience so far. 10 min to get a waiter and then another 10 to get the bread and water. read more

Not only were we seated and never waited on but when we got up to leave the hostesses laughed at us and told us sarcastically to have a good day. Hostess is extremely rude. We did a call ahead for two tables of 4. Got there and was told we would wait more than an hour and we would be seated no where near each other. Which being close wasn't an issue. She may as well have begged us to leave. We went to a fast food restaurant and then got two text 15 minutes later saying both tables were ready. We have been to longhorn in Orlando and Austin/Round Rock. Always awesome. Just mean and rude person at this location. We talked friends into going there because we've always had a great dinner. We had our annual family holiday dinner on Saturday, December 29th at Longhorn Steakhouse again this year. They accommodated 8 children & 8 adults-a total of 16 and did a fabulous job. They catered to the children (and to the adults). Our food was amazing, everyone loved their meals, especially the parmesan crusted tops on our steaks! Our servers were great. I think the main server's name was Kristen and she worked hard to please every one of us. We noticed that all of the servers seemed to be very hard working and very well trained. The filet it should have been tender and I should have been able to cut it like butter. I ordered it medium rare it came out medium well more on the well side very chewy. 12 oz prime rib for $20 is about average. However the quality is not. They advertise the prime rib in the menu as "so tender you can cut it with a fork". Unfortunately what I got was "saw through it with your steak knife". The flavor was very ho-hum, they bring sauces, but a proper, advertised "highly flavorful" cut of high quality steak should never need flavored after served. They give out the average cooking styles, Rare, Med-Rare, Medium, ect. Well enough about the styles, I bet your asking your self, is the steak good? You bet it's good, they got filet, flat iron, and many more, with an amazing menu style, it shows you pictures of what the steak looks like, the best menu I've ever see out of any restaurant. They've got sauces, sides, and many more additions to the steak. And my favorite part is the knife. Now it may seem weird that it is, but it's the best knife I've seen out of a steakhouse. "Steakums" Ambiance: We went on a Sunday around lunch. The place is clean, with nice decorum. Good lighting. Food: The food was pretty good for a chain restaurant. I got the shaved prime rib sandwich. It was very tasy. The bread was a nice texture and the meat had a nice texture to it. Tender, but a little crunchy in some areas. Everyone else's food was good and a got to sample the parmesean crusted chicken. It was tasty as well. Customer Service: Our server was really attentive and helpful. In my opinion, she had a tough bunch, but definitely displayed professionalism. The food came out at a reasonable time and she kept the drinks refilled. In Closing: Ohio mostly has chain restaurants, so if you are going to go to one, you might as well go to LongHorn. It's a good option and I'm a fan (when I'm in this town lol). read more
