Amazing people and food taste great they really make it feel like your at home and it reminds me of grandmas cooking

If you prominently post a sign in your restaurant that says "This isn't Burger King. You don't get it your way. You take it my way or you don't get the damn thing", you better be freaking phenomenal at what you do. Because you're announcing to the world that you don't really care about providing good service. Yeah. Yeah. It's meant to be a joke. But really, it's not. The person who would post that sign, really thinks they know better than you do. I basically get a slice of pizza from any restaurant I haven't been to that has a Slices sign. I was in the plaza for Giulia's Pizza and saw that slice sign. So I went in. I am only evaluating Giulia's based upon their Slice Selection and my slice of pepperoni. People who order a whole pizza may have a completely different experience. I have recently been to 4 other places that also feature pizza slices in the Newington, Berlin and Rocky Hill area and those visits establish a baseline for this review. Of the five places, Giulia's has the fewest choices. Cheese. Pepperoni. Veggie. In terms of display, Giulia's displayed the slices in the least appealing way. They were just kind of sitting there. No heated case. The cheese pizza seemed the most recently cooked, but the Veggie and Pepperoni had been sitting for a while. The tops were solid and the crust looked thicker than I would expect for a non-Greek Style pizza. I decided to try the pepperoni. It was brought to me more quickly than I would have expected after I ordered it. Not surprisingly, it was undercooked. It was OK, but the cheese was a bit of a mess texture-wise. The sauce didn't pop for me. The pepperoni could have been cooked more. The crust was chewy in a way that I didn't particularly enjoy. Of the places where I have recently had a slice, this was my least favorite. I've seen and heard this Burger King saying before. I don't think a business does itself any favors when it posts a sign like that. It's hard to root for the person who posts that sign. But you can get away with it . . . if you're great. At least with respect to the slice part of Giulia's business, Giulia's is not great. Two Stars read more

Giulia's is, if I dare say is, probably the best pizza in Cromwell. Great bend on the pizza, perfectly thin crust, and delicious fresh toppings. You know it's good when the picky kids ask for pizza from a specific place! Price point in line with other establishments. Staff is friendly and very helpful. I haven't dined inside yet, so review based on takeout only. read more

I think Giulia's has the best pizza in Cromwell! A large pizza is actually a large pizza! The crust has a good char on it but not burnt. The cheese and sauce are good quality and cooked well. Salads are large size, good for sharing. Salad is also fresh and not pre-made and soggy. The prices are decent for the quality of food. This local shop has very nice staff who are always pleasant. The staff was welcoming and took our order quickly. The food was great! The calzone was huge and came with a nice sauce. My son got the meat pizza and enjoyed it. We don't live in the area, but if we did, we would visit again. read more

This was a nice find, north of New Haven! Giulia's does not have an ultra thin crispy crust, but a more New York style that held up to the toppings. It was foldable but not floppy or overly greasy. I can't speak to the restaurant interior as I ordered delivery. There was a good selection of toppings, both white and red pizza offerings. I got a specialty pizza with some added ricotta. Toppings were well dispersed and not lacking. I would definitely order from them again. read more

Driving around town and hungry I passed a place I have wanted eat at. So Giulia's was it. Didn't realize the place was getting ready to close early on 4th of July eve. They took my order for eat in and produced a huge eggplant grinder. I decided to take it home to enjoy it at leisure and was very good. The bread looked overdone but was delicious and definitely made on site. The sauce was just right so I really enjoyed it. Will go back at noon one of  these days. read more

Finally tried this place and wouldn't bother going back. Crust was limp and soggy in the middle, both the red and the white were bland with very little flavor. Nothing stood out, not fresh garlic or tomato and there were barely any toppings on either pizza. On the Special there were actually slices with no meat at all. Great new eat in and take out restaurant. Mainly a pizza restaurant but I ordered a chicken and avocado sandwich on a wrap for a healthier option. It tasted great and I had half the wrap left over for dinner. The side of fries was delicious. Service was friendly and quick! read more

This restaurant opened about 6 weeks ago. It is in the location where Barb and Ken's pizza was located in Cromwell. The new restaurant has updated the interior, added nice tables/chairs, glassware is pretty, and each table near the wall has outlets/chargers. They also have free wifi. The two people working when we were there were knowledgeable and kind. One was the owner and he has previously worked at many high end establishments in CT. We asked for a custom pizza with basil, fresh mozzarella, green pepper and pepperoni. It was nicely done, fresh tasting, thin crust with tasteful sauce. I was pleased with my pizza and they also have an extensive catering menu which looked amazing. The owner also mentioned he can create many other things not on the catering menu, I only need to ask. I hope they do well in this location because they are kind, great attitudes and the food was very good! read more

Best pizza in the area! The sauce is amazing! Worth the trip off the beaten path, and affordable as well.

Their "carbonara" is just fettuccini alfredo with bacon. Don't get it expecting real carbonara. Little pools of grease in it too

I wish I could give this place more stars, but I just can't. They messed up my daughters order, it was suppose to be penne with butter, not penne with sauce.
