Pizza is decent/ average, thin crust but not quite crispy. Staff are very friendly. Got takeout but the inside looks very nice. Would definitely give a try for drinks.

My daughter and I stopped in here for lunch on Christmas Eve. It is a very cute spot. I like being able to see the brick oven. Really nice staff and we want to try the Gyros next door at the next visit.

Half day calls for trying out a pizza place with friends. The service was perfect we each ordered individually and our food came out within 10 minutes. The whole staff was nice and very efficient. All 10 of us loved our meal, there was a huge variety of food. I got the broccoli chicken flatbread, it was honestly so good. I loved how I tasted garlic throughout it. I just wish they went a little lighter on the cheese. A great place to quickly get food and get on your way.

Kinda disappointed with the gluten free pizza I got. The crust was kinda dry and flavorless and not really crispy. I think it could have been cooked a little longer. The red sauce didnt have much pizzazz eithet. I also wanted to try a kumpir, which is a Istanbul street food version, of a stuffed potato. I ordered online and there were options to add various toppings and meat but I assumed it already came with an assortment of kumpir toppings. I added diced chicken to it but they didnt put any diced chicken in mine. I did take-out so I didn't really have a chance to see that until I was home. It was basically a baked potato with a pound of melted cheese on it.

    So delish!

So many reasons why this is one of our favorite spots! The pizza is phenomenal; the dough was perfect, the ingredients were as fresh and tasty as could be, and on top of it all, the service here is awesome! Friendly, courteous, and they go out of their way to ensure that you love your meal. Protip: you haven't lived till you've tried their garlic bread. Their salads are fantastic, and adding gyro meat to the pizza/garlic bread is pure heaven. Great portions too. Seeya again soon!

Not impressed. I went in with high expectations and was completely letdown. The layout of the restaurant is a bit confusing. I wasn't sure if it was a seat yourself kind of place...and I'm still not sure. The woman behind the counter told us to seat ourselves, but then grabbed some menus and brought us to a table by the door. Had I been given a choice, I probably would've taken a table closer to the counter. While we were there two groups of patrons had to move their table. The cold breeze that accompanied each guest that walked in or out the door, was just to much for them to handle. We laughed about it, but we were stuck at our table. My son and I were forced to wear our jackets through the entire meal. The wind was so fierce that it blew all of our napkins out of the holder and all over the floor. Even though we were seated by a waitress, it took 30 minutes for someone to notice us. That was only after a few calls across the restaurant and after no response, I finally had to get out of my seat to ask if we were supposed to order at the counter. After clearing off the table the waitress finally approached our table. Because it was late and my son was very hungry, we ordered the garlic knots. We also ordered two pies, a large Sarantino and a kid's pepperoni. After 30 minutes a woman came to check on us and I told her that we still hadn't received our garlic knots. She told us that she would check on them and then disappeared. The woman that took our order avoided our table and any eye contact with me. I was just about to walk out, when our waitress came over to tell us our order was almost ready. I asked again about the garlic knots and was told that she would check on them. Our drinks needed refilling, but were never refilled at this point. So, almost an hour later our pizzas and the garlic knots were brought to our table. My son's pizza was fine, not hot, but that's ok for a for a four year old. My pizza on the other hand was cold and soggy. What made matters worse, was the server put it at the end of the table where the frigid breeze was blowing over it every other minute. Even more disappointing was the fact that the garlic knots came to us uncooked. Unfortunately, it was my son that discovered the doughy center. Had it not been for my hungry child, I would have left right then. The waitress did take the garlic knots off the check, but no other compensation was given for the wait or horrible customer service. Sorry to say, even if someone gave me a gift certificate, I would not go back.

Wanted to like this place, the decor is nice and the concept is good. The execution was horrible. Some flatbread and hummus was brought to the table to start, I say flatbread and not pita because it definitely was not pita. It had no flavor, and a consistency of a cracker like pizza crust We had mozz sticks straight from restaurant depot, they were fried properly and cost $1/ea. That's a 600% mark up on the food cost. We got the milanos pizza. Sun dried tomato, spinach, artichoke & chicken. The chicken was drier than a menopausal vagina, and I imagine the taste was pretty similar too. The crust was flavorless and bland, and the pizza was undercooked with raw & floppy dough in the middle. The service was deadful, once our food was delivered we were ghosted until we asked for the box. My wife whispered, "what are you gonna do with that box?". I replied, "a proper burial needs a casket". I had to box my own leftovers (yeah that sounds petty, but I've never been expected to do this at any other pizza joint. It's usually taken from table, boxed, and brought back to you) I also had to bring my own check up to the register to pay so my server could watch while I wrote in the tip. Even though the service was terrible, I couldn't bring myself to jack up his tip in front of him. $35 horrible mistake. It's sad that rotating brick oven doesn't have anybody that knows how to properly use it.

For lunch one day we stopped here. It's amazing as it shares an open wall with a Greek restaurant. You can order from both kitchens. My wife wanted a calzone with mushrooms and roasted peppers. Somehow ended up with that and Buffalo chicken in there. We told them and the response was it happens do the Buffalo chicken being to close on the keypad. The kid had a meat lovers which she enjoyed. I myself partook in the Greek menu. This place is nice but the power show off for few minutes and the smoke of the wood fire came into the dining area. They do have some things to work out.

I think the pizza could be better especially looking at that beautiful huge oven. Staff were nice enough but the pies lacked flavor.

    Is this place byob?

No, it is not BYOB nor do they serve alcohol at this time. The salads and pizza are great though. I recommend trying it.

Over the past 2 years the service & food quality has been in steady decline. My most recent visit was inexcusable and I won't return. We decided to visit for "reverse happy hour" as an alternative from our usual thirsday night visit to Esca. We had Michael for our server and sat upstairs in the lounge. We were brought menus as we were sat and we ordered drinks to start, but weren't sure on food yet. Our server then proceeded to visit our table 4 times over the next 15 minutes to ask if we wanted to place a food order. It felt rushed. The vibe : awkward. The music was so loud I couldn't hear my server, my date or anything else besides the droning voice of Amy Grey. She had no spacial awareness and didn't know when to shut up. Incessantly talking over every song and not realizing that a bar gig is inherently different from the radio. The food : mediocre. We ordered steak frites from the happy hour menu which noted that the steak was "marinated". The 4 piece of tepid steak that came to our table were covered in this cloyingly sweet sauce that tainted the entire dish. Since the steak was served atop the fries, this sauce caused the fries (straight from the Sysco box) to become soggy and absorb the sauce which made the fries not so appetizing. We followed that up with a Cheese Pizza which was pretty good. The pizza here is their saving grace, and this place would do much better as just a slice shop. The drinks : abysmal. I started with a Skittles fruited sour from Transcend Brewery that Sicily had on tap. I was excited because it's rare to find their beer on tap outside of the brewery. It was served in the wrong glass. The F&B manager at Sicily needs to do a better job at making sure the bar is properly serving drinks. Teku glasses are essential for fruited sours. It didn't taste the same as it did in the brewery, however, for $6 I decided to just chalk it up to inexperience. I followed the beer with a Paloma, which was advertised as $5 for happy hour. When I ordered from my server I pointed at the menu showing the tequila listed for $5. As soon as I tasted the drink that was brought to me, i knew it was way off. I asked my server to ask the bartender what was in the drink because it didn't taste right. He told me that the bartender said "grapefruit juice", which is not the proper mixer for a Paloma. A Paloma only has 3 ingredients - Grapefruit Soda (Squirt or Jarritos are acceptable), Tequila & Lime Juice - it's a very simple cocktail. If you didn't have grapefruit soda, which is the main ingredient in the drink, just tell me that... I would have picked something else. The service : Impersonal & rushed. When i sent back the drink, the affect of our server visibly changed, almost as if he was angry or insulted that I would send back a drink that wasn't made properly. He asked if I would like something else, but my confidence in the bartender to make a proper drink had waned and I stuck with water for the rest of the night. My date continued with a 3rd glass of wine. About 10 minutes after this, my date got up to use the restroom, and our server came over and handed me a box for the remaining pizza, without asking if we would like anything else or if my date was done with her wine. He whisked away the half full glass and dropped our check effectively ending our visit. We weren't ready to leave. My date came back to the table and asked where the rest of her drink was and I explained the our server cleared the table and dropped the check. She said "I guess it's time to go". The nail in the coffin was when I picked up the check to see that I was charged for a $16 "Casamigos" cocktail. So i suppose if i had continued to drink the Paloma he would have been happy to charge me $16 for a $5 happy hour drink. The whole experience was off-putting and we didn't feel welcome. It felt as if our server was just trying to turn tables as fast as possible. I won't be returning and recommend others to stay far away.

If you prominently post a sign in your restaurant that says "This isn't Burger King. You don't get…read moreit your way. You take it my way or you don't get the damn thing", you better be freaking phenomenal at what you do. Because you're announcing to the world that you don't really care about providing good service. Yeah. Yeah. It's meant to be a joke. But really, it's not. The person who would post that sign, really thinks they know better than you do. I basically get a slice of pizza from any restaurant I haven't been to that has a Slices sign. I was in the plaza for Giulia's Pizza and saw that slice sign. So I went in. I am only evaluating Giulia's based upon their Slice Selection and my slice of pepperoni. People who order a whole pizza may have a completely different experience. I have recently been to 4 other places that also feature pizza slices in the Newington, Berlin and Rocky Hill area and those visits establish a baseline for this review. Of the five places, Giulia's has the fewest choices. Cheese. Pepperoni. Veggie. In terms of display, Giulia's displayed the slices in the least appealing way. They were just kind of sitting there. No heated case. The cheese pizza seemed the most recently cooked, but the Veggie and Pepperoni had been sitting for a while. The tops were solid and the crust looked thicker than I would expect for a non-Greek Style pizza. I decided to try the pepperoni. It was brought to me more quickly than I would have expected after I ordered it. Not surprisingly, it was undercooked. It was OK, but the cheese was a bit of a mess texture-wise. The sauce didn't pop for me. The pepperoni could have been cooked more. The crust was chewy in a way that I didn't particularly enjoy. Of the places where I have recently had a slice, this was my least favorite. I've seen and heard this Burger King saying before. I don't think a business does itself any favors when it posts a sign like that. It's hard to root for the person who posts that sign. But you can get away with it . . . if you're great. At least with respect to the slice part of Giulia's business, Giulia's is not great. Two Stars
