Some of the best wedding soup I have ever had is served right here. Have had several sandwiches here and they have all been fantastic - including cheesesteaks, chicken cheesesteak and especially the hot pork! Their entrees are yummy too - very good marinara sauce and yummy meatballs which are flavorful and not overly dry. My mom loves their calamari while my dad loves their pizza and spaghetti with hot sausage. Everything is well priced for the most part too. My husband and I took a friend to lunch here. We decided to split a pizza, our waiter seemed like he did not know the order and it was very hard to ask him questions about their pizza. We ordered a half Hawaiian and half buffalo chicken pizza. Our wait for the pizza was not horrible, but could have been quicker. We all got water with our meals, which were never refilled or even offered to be refilled. When our waiter brought out the plates and silverware we returned a plate and a set of silverware to get cleaned. Our pizza came to the table and was decent. Our waiter took a very long time to return to the table and forgot my ranch I asked for. Apart from all that our waiter never cleared our table, even after we ordered our dessert. When we finally got our check he never took 15% of our meal to donate to the charity that he said he would at the beginning. And to top it all off as we were leaving and getting into our car, the COOK was JUMPING IN THEIR OUTSIDE DUMPTER... with his apron on. EW. This place has been around a long time -- I remember getting pizza from here when I was growing up in Hatfield in the '80s. It started out with one smallish dining room, but now it has three separate dining rooms, including one with a full bar in an attempt at drawing a happy hour crowd. I went here recently with my two sisters and their husbands. They all ordered hoagies and draft beers I got two plain slices of pizza ($1.75 each) and water. Giuseppe's pizza is normally the holy grail for me, but the other night the pizza was just okay. I made the mistake of getting slices instead of strong-arming someone into splitting a whole pizza with me. The slices weren't freshly made, but I didn't expect that. I wish they had personal pizzas. That would get them five stars from me for sure. The service was great, bathrooms were clean (cherry vanilla scented soap!!) and reasonably priced -- the bill came to less than $50 for five people. I'll be going back to Hatfield this weekend and I'll definitely be ordering from Giuseppe's. read more

This is a fairly local place for me, and I've been here a few times with my family and kids. We've always enjoyed our visits. The bar also has a nice dining area with plenty of TVs to watch some sports. Servers are fast and friendly. Prices are good. This last trip I had some wings and their traditional pork sandwich. I'm not sure if it was because I was very, very hungry, or the quality of the food, but it didn't last long! Honestly the last pizza we got from there was atrocious. The pizza was half burned and half underbaked all at the same time. There was even a large piece of plastic film baked into one of the slices which I unfortunately almost ate. We called and they baked us a new one but it honestly wasn't even that good. It's definitely not good pizza and not good food. It never arrives on time and the delivery people literally always can never find our apartment, even though it's so easy to find. Not crazy about their food. Pizza isn't that great, the chicken steak seems to be dry and not enough cheese. Their calzone doesn't even include ricotta cheese. The worst part are the waitress, they never seem to have enough of them. Their running around like crazy chickens. No fault thru them, the owner is too cheap and makes them twice as hard. If you're looking for wings in the Skippack area, this is the place to go! They're a great size, very flavorful, and don't have much fat on them. I always look forward to the weekends that I'm home from college​ so that I can stop by. Customer service is always great. However, from the times I've paid online and picked up, it always seems as if the restaurant isn't notified that I've already paid. *I'm not usually a critic, but I joined Yelp to leave this review, because I don't like to support businesses operated by malignant narcissists who appoint themselves God (actually happened- read below).* While visiting my Mom a few weeks ago, I made the huge mistake of stopping in here to grab a six pack of Angry Orchard. The young man checking me out had trouble locating my birthdate on my passport (I'm 32 but admittedly look young), and turned to a heavy older man with grey hair for help. The older man shot me a dirty look (!) and told the young man to refuse my passport as ID (!!!), insisting I show a driver's license. Mouth agape, I told him that I don't have one, since I don't drive. He scoffed and asked "Why?". Rather than offer up the full list of personal reasons that I don't drive (because I live and work in one of the largest US cities with a robust public transit system, because my bicycle is excellent daily exercise, because I don't want to contribute any further to congestion, pollution, and global warming), I told the grumpy pizza proprietor that because I have a US Passport as ID, I don't need a license, and have used this to purchase alcohol many times inside and outside the US. I was then told that a passport "isn't valid ID and I need a drivers license to buy alcohol in PA". Stunned at his ignorance and lack of basic reasoning skills, I insisted this was incorrect. I explained that a passport supersedes a drivers license in the hierarchy of legal identification at a state and federal level. After arguing about how absolutely wrong this was, and being forced to pull up documentation on my phone, he then proceeds to say "that doesn't matter, in Giuseppe's, I'm God". Yes, that's actually what he said. I never thought I'd be meeting God in a pizza shop in Lansdale, but I guess Joan Osborne wrote a song about that. Had I known I'd been meeting Him that day, I would have at least blow out my hair and put on some slacks! By this point I was enraged by this man's attitude, treatment of a customer, and desire to disregard the law and manufacture his own, so I offered to call someone who was a higher legal authority than even His Holiness himself to mediate the situation. He sold me the cider with extreme displeasure. I debated leaving without a purchase, but I refused to back down from the Minister of Marinara, his earthly embodiment of our Oven-Baked Lord and Grease-Fried Savior. As a restaurant and business, this place receives zero stars. But as a house of worship, this is a solid single star! Like the pizza, 2nd favorite in the area. Dine-in between lunch/dinner is pleasant and fast - at other times its a mess but that's because it is pretty popular for families and the bar. Hands down some of the best staff in the pickup area. Honestly just a great bunch of young people who worked so well together. Lots of parking but busy days make it tough to find a spot, again - it's just popular. Good quick take-away food and fair prices. I typically don't write reviews on yelp, usually on OpenTable, but I am compelled to warn potential guest from dining at Giuseppe's on Cowpath Rd. First the food was good and if we didn't have the issues we had, iwe would probably go back. Service was not great, but it wasn't terrible either, just really slow. We live fairly far from this restaurant, over 30 miles so this was a first time for us here. A few days later I received a phone call from my bank's fraud department about some recent activity on my card and turns out that someone had my credit card information and just happened to use it across the street at RiteAid in Lansdale for over a $1000 dollars! Conscience? maybe, but I think there is some shading business going on there and wanted to warn anyone to watch out. read more

Let me start by saying I have been raving about Giuseppe's pizza for 25 years. I moved to Schwenksville and still make the drive because I am very picky about my pizza. I arrived home with my pie & my husband was thrilled. We both took one bite & looked at each other. It was horrible. The crust was hard on the bottom & not cooked towards the top. It was very stale. In my opinion, the dough tasted like it was old or frozen. This was soooo disappointing. My friends think I am crazy to drive over an hour for pizza. I tried to go on their website to tell them about my experience & the only thing you can do is place an order. The pizza is pretty good and has a good crust unlike most other places in the area, sometimes you get a good amount of toppings and other times not so much. The hoagies are good but a little skimpy on ingredients, especially for what they charge. The steak sandwiches are very good. Italian entrees are hit or miss. Fries and and other appetizers are pretty good, they are mostly all frozen but of good quality. Delivery is at the very least a good temperature even if not fast, I'd rather have slower delivery but hot food then fast delivery and the food is cold. Phone and delivery people are always very polite. Counter people in the take-out section are very polite. This establishment also sells beer by the 6-pack which is nice for people that only need that much but be prepared to pay for that convenience. They have really good milkshakes. I wish they didn't nickle and dime you for things a sandwich should include like pickles or cheese. The cost of the sandwich should include at least one serving of these things. You use to be able to pay on-line which made it easy for parents to order ahead, the bill was already paid so you didn't need to worry about leaving money at home with the teens. I think the 50 or 75 cents here and there they charge you extra keeps them from allowing on-line payments because last time I asked, these small charges weren't adding on right so they stopped on-line payments.. They decent pizza, sandwiches are what should be expected in this area. It would not be my go to pasta dinner place, for that you'd need to head into the city but for a quick overall enjoyable eat-in or take out, this place is worth the try. It also has a nice dining area, the servers are very polite. Man I love their plain pie. Perfection. The crust is a little thin and crisp, the sauce is just sweet enough, and the cheese doesn't overwhelm the pie. It's all I ever order. My wife and I used to frequent this establishment every week. We were told a few weeks ago that we couldn't sit in our normal waitresses section because "it wasn't her turn". We asked to speak with the manager. He came out and proceeded to tell us it wasn't fair to the other waitresses who don't get requests and they are complaining. Realistically there's a few problems with his new rule- 1st- our regular waitress is there 6 days a week, and some of those are doubles. She knows what the customers want. She's friendly, outgoing and has a great personality. No doubt she would get people to come back over and over. 2nd- She's a full time college student working a full time job, who seriously busts her rump. She's driven to give the customers nothing but the best. Noting less than the owner of that establishment would want. We've been to other restaurants in the area and kids just don't want to be passionate they don't want to work hard. It's tough I'm sure. This kid is passionate about what she does for you and the customers. You can tell. Lastly, I think the owner should look at what this waitress is doing for his business (before his rule). She was bringing in repeat customers (who weren't giving bad reviews on Yelp!) Sal, if you read these Yelps, you should be very proud to have a waitress like you have! Customers like myself would not tip her well if we didn't think she gave us excellent service. Don't get me wrong, some of the other waitress are good as well. But I think it is because this one is there so many days a week for so many years, she has built relationships with the customers. That's an excellent problem to have! Customers appreciate that, and so should you! As you mentioned, you're working on a new menu with increased pricing, people will pay the money if they are happy with their server. Giuseppe's is our go-to pizza place. I'm originally from the NYC metro area and am VERY picky about my pizza. We've tried other area pizzeria's and Giuseppe's is by far and above the best in my opinion. My other favorite menu item: mozzarella sticks, which I am also picky about and Giuseppe's does very well. You might wonder, why not rate higher? Well, to be honest I've tried some of their other dishes and found those to be just about average. So, a 3 for the regular menu, 5 for the pizza, averages out to a 4. If you enjoy specialty pies, give the bruschetta pie a try. It's worth the extra cost. Also take advantage of their specials - on weekdays (I think it's Monday thru Wednesday) if you buy two pies you get a third free. It's a great way to stock up on leftovers for the freezer. read more
