Had another awesome meal at Guiseppes! Brought in a group of 7 to enjoy the freshness and high quality this establishment consistently offers with every meal. The food is always hot and the staff is always friendly and attentive. The owners are always on site and you see them greeting the customers table by table to ensure complete satisfaction. This speaks volumes. Judging by the reviewer Anna's review as well as her other reviews, sounds like she doesn't know how to react having fresh food. The one's that aren't though are inedible (especially if you even give a tiny care about what goes into your body) and they don't take constructive criticism well. The owner had me on hold for more than 8 minutes, because he was with "another customer" (they weren't even open yet) and made sure I knew it was ME who was getting a favor. I think this place has good pizza. That is the only reason it gets two stars. The pizza has always come great and delivered hot. When it comes to things other than pizza, this place is a flop! Last night I ordered the pasta with meatballs and my wife ordered the cheese steak Stromboli. The pasta sauce was terrible. It tasted like someone took a can of tomato sauce from a hunts can and poured it over the noodles. The meatballs were nothing but breading and had no flavoring. There was no garlic or parsley in the sauce or the meatballs, which made them bland. The Stromboli had peppers in it, which is OK, if they are cooked. The peppers were crunchy and under cooked. The entire meal was disappointing, to say the least. Stick to their pizza. It really is the only thing we like about the place. read more

Giuseppe's is a solid suburban pizza restaurant. Their dough, sauce, cheese, and toppings are all...solid, leading to good pizza but far from a "must try." The draw of Giuseppe's is the atmosphere, it has a newer bar area that is fun for younger crowds (Except they have regular tube tv's, a definite no no in 2011) along with ample seating in the main dining area great for families. They have an extensive menu with endless options, this feature is a near dead give away that the restaurant is a jack of all trades but master of none. Their fries, wings, sandwiches, and pizza are all fairly good. I enjoy going with my family on a random sunday, however, Giuseppes is definitely not a go to restaurant for pizza. read more

I ordered food for takeout and even told the person on the phone that I had just driven for 8 hours but when I got to the restaurant to pick up my order everyone just looked at each other like I just stopped in from Mars. My order apparently had disappeared into thin air. Normally I would have walked out but my wife and I were too tired and hungry to order elsewhere so I waited while they started my order from scratch. The manager saw me and asked what was up and when I told him he put a rush on the order. He should have offered some kind of a break on the price considering I am a pretty good customer but he did not. No more of this place for me. And oh yeah the prices are extremely high for average Italian food! read more

The BAD: I have to give this restaurant a poor review, as they don't have consideration for my time (and I can tell you, that I'm not the only one). I placed an order online on a Friday right after work. Busy time for a pizza shop....I get that. But the online system gave me a time to pick up my order, and I walked in the door at exactly that time. So, nothing ambiguous about the 'times'...it's not like I heard someone over the phone incorrectly, etc. I put in my order, and the computer spit out a pickup time....simple as that. When I arrived, I presented my online pickup order receipt, paid for my order, and was told it would be right out. After a few minutes, I was told it would be about 10 more minutes (??). If I were a complainer, I would have said something right then and there.....but I'm a seemingly patient person. I continued to patiently wait until exactly 6:25 when my order was ready. Twenty five minutes later than they had suggested!! Now, I'm not unreasonable, and I know they were busy, but this isn't their first day on the job either. They KNOW how busy they will be on a Friday evening, and therefore their online ordering system should not be giving pickup times that they cannot meet. The last thing I want to do after a long week of work, is stand in a pizza shop for 25 minutes waiting for my food to cook. The cooking should have happened before I got there! Furthermore, I know how long it takes to cook these items, and I know (in retrospect) that they didn't even put my food in the oven until after I arrived. This is not acceptable to me. While I was there waiting, another gentleman came in for his already-placed-order and they told him it would be 10 minutes, and he declined the order and left. He'd obviously been down the same road I had before, and was on to them. I wish I had done the same. The GOOD: It really does pain me to have to write a bad review, as there are some very good aspects to this place as well. The food I got was very good. The workers out at the front counter were pleasant enough, and definitely working hard to get orders through. If you didn't know how behind they were, you would say the operation was running like a well-oiled machine. So basically, I have no problem with the place, with the exception of the inaccuracy of the online ordering process. It really bothers me that placing my order was inconsequential. I probably could have walked in, placed an order in-person, and been on my way in the same amount of time. In the end, it took an hour for the order to be ready. If they had just told me it was going to be an hour when I placed the order, you wouldn't be reading my negative review right now. They've been in business for 30 years, so obviously they're doing something right and their mis-timing of orders doesn't bother everyone. But it bothered me, and there are a lot of other pizza shops out there......and that's where you'll find me next time. read more

So I ordered food worth $16. I got a small lunch bag that looked like someone had eaten fries out of the food itself. When the delivery guy handed me my food, I gave him a $50 bill and asked for change so I could tip him. He gave me my change, glared at me, and said "oh, do you want the 3 cents too?" I put my money away and didn't tip him because of what he said. He sent me a nasty look and walked back to his car. Had The Works pizza. It was ok. Wife got the Baked Ziti with Meat Sauce and Cheese. The ziti was NOT baked. It was a boiled ziti with a plain tomatoe sauce. No cheese at all. Not "baked" at all. She also ordered her house salad with honey mustard on the side. It came drenched in honey mustard. And this cost $11.95? Will not order takeout from Giuseppi's again. It used to be good. we went for the Monday night football special we brought our 15 and 16 year old kids sat at a table in the bar area. and were told oh im sorry the kids cant sit in here. REALLY. IM AT A TABLE IN THE BAR AREA. not at the bar on a stool. they don't want you to take up space for the game. I have been here lots of times and sat in the same section with my kids no problem. but, not on Monday nite. Pathetic. no problem we took our business to THE NBI very nice and we sat at the tables no problem . will never be back at Giuseppies. ever. This place is pretty famous in the Lansdale area. Pizza is a little above average in terms of flavor. However, the service at the front desk is extremely unpleasant. No customer service whatsoever. As I have only gone for take-out I do not expect much in terms of service but the times I have been there the girls behind the counter do not greet or acknowledge the customers and just about mutter a word to tell you what your bill is. I prefer Vinny's pizza down then road where food is good and you can always get friendly service. Therefore I do not plan to rerun to Giuseppe's. read more

I'm a frequent Guiseppe's customer and for years, the food was what brought me back time and time again....... not the service. We'd often drive to the Ambler location because the girls there were nicer. However, that has changed in the past few months. We've had one outstanding young lady take care of us the past few visits and she is the consummate restaurant professional. Courteous, knowledgeable and friendly, the prickly feeling of compromising experience for great food has gone away now because we get the entire package. My wife and I have had Kate as our server a few times and she treats us like we are her dear friends, which gives us a great feeling. From recommending new beer specials to answering our questions about different dishes in detail, she just GETS it... something we've lacked in our experience before. We also had Kate a few Saturdays back taking care of our huge party of 5 year old soccer players, and she managed incredibly well under an insane amount of pressure...... and was funny and wonderful with the kids. They absolutely loved her and so do we. As if that weren't enough on her plate to be handling at once, we also saw her training newer staff members and gently helping an old man with Parkinson's who had fallen asleep and spilled his meal all over him. It is a gift to be able to interact so well with people of all ages in such a high pressure environment, and juggle so many requests at once. She told us last week she was working at Giuseppe's on top of a full time job to save money for nursing school, and what a loss that will be when she leaves. In fact, we need to resist the urge to tip her more than we already do! While I would have ranked Giuseppe's with 2 stars before now, I give them a 5! read more

every time I've ever ordered for delivery my food has been delivered still hot and tasted great. today not so much...ordered a half pepperoni half plain, got only 2 plain slices and the cheese was all over as if driver was drifting his way to my residence. boneless wings came with what looks to be a dollop of sauce, and mozz sticks are cold. first time I've ever had a negative experience but it was enough i had to share. read more
