I opened their website and ordered the pizzaboli online, to be picked up in about 25 mins. I received notification that the food was ready right as I was getting in my car to head over. I am a pizza snob and truthfully, boil isn't my favorite. This however made my whole night! The sauce, the meats, the never ending cheese? Perfection. And at 26.50 because of 1 topping, it was more than worth it. I cannot wait to order again! I want the million dollar cheesesteak next!!

I wouldn't call myself a cheesesteak snob, but I've had Pat's and Gino's and other spots in Philly and yes, I know Philly locals will say they're more famous than great. Amichi's completely outclasses anything I got in Philly, and we're only about a hundred miles away. Idd say Harrisburg Star City is the capital and the capital for cheesesteaks, Amici's puts the pike on the map. Not only that they got a really great staff and mom and pop shop vibes. Amichi's on the Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg is the spot. Next time you wanna drive 2 hours to get a cheesesteak go here instead. Do not skip.

Rolled into Mechanicsburg Breakfast & Pizzeria at the extremely conventional breakfast hour…read moreof...5pm on a Friday. I was the only diner in the place, which honestly made me feel like I had just rented out a private pizza studio. Bonus: plenty of free parking right out front because it's tucked into a little strip mall. Before I even ordered, the menu caught my attention--an eclectic mashup of pizza and tacos, with breakfast versions of both served all day long. It's honestly the kind of menu you'd expect to stumble upon in a dream where the universe says, "Go ahead, choose joy." I originally planned to be "responsible" and just grab a slice to test the waters, but they didn't have any slices ready and would've had to make an entire pizza just for me. That felt like a sign from the Universe to stop lying to myself. If they were firing up the oven anyway, why not go big? So I took the cosmic hint and ordered their semi-Instagram-famous Mexican Breakfast Pizza: eggs, chorizo, mozzarella, cheddar... a 10" "personal" pizza (their wording, not mine) for $14. Twist my arm. Drinks live in the cooler by the door and you just grab whatever you want and pay at the end. As I was mid-debate between soda and water, the guy behind the counter popped out from behind the curtain and said, "Hey, since you're getting a breakfast pizza, if you want juice... orange, cranberry, apple... you can have it!" Sir. Apple juice is basically the secret key to my heart. SOLD. He also mentioned they have games and coloring books available--apparently dominoes is the crowd favorite here. Unexpected and charming. A little sign on my table caught my eye: "If you love it, leave a nice review." Challenge accepted. This place was already earning every star. Placed my order at 5:02, snagged a seat by the window to watch the sunset fade and the traffic chaos whirl by. The sign on the wall said "GOOD vibes, GREAT flavors," and let me tell you: an accurate mission statement. At 5:20, my pizza emerged in all its glory--and it. was. stunning. The crust hit that sweet middle ground between thin and deep dish: sturdy, doughy, beautifully crisped on the edges, and wonderfully yeasty. The eggs-to-cheese ratio was perfection, and the chorizo? A knockout. Spicy, chunky, far more personality than the usual breakfast-pizza sausage situation. I ate 1.5 slices and boxed up the rest, which will easily feed me for another three days because, yes, I believe in leftovers as a lifestyle. As I was leaving, the man behind the counter introduced himself--Sebastian--and he had been nothing but attentive, kind, and genuinely invested in making sure I had a great experience. Service like that sticks with you. Total damage: $22.26 including tip. For great food, even better service, and days of leftovers? That's what I call winning. I'll definitely be back--probably at another totally normal breakfast hour.

Order at the counter and your food is brought out promptly. The owner made sure everything was good and kept asking if I needed anything. Making customers feel important is, well, important, so I'm glad they aim to please. Pizza slice was really good, could've been a bit more well done, but that's my preference. The birria quesadilla and (thick) consommé were out of this world excellent. Can't wait to come back and have that again and try some other dishes. All day breakfast is cool and a nice option to have in this area. Try this place and see for yourself.

After completing an EPIC hike earlier in the day, Friday Night Date Night called for one thing:…read morepizza. Not fancy pizza. Not trendy pizza. Just a really good slice of pizza. Enter Palumbo's. I'd had their Grandma Pizza before and remembered it being fantastic, so I figured I'd make Palumbo's my dinner destination. Located in a shopping center with plenty of parking, it was an easy stop after a long day on the trail. The staff greeted me as soon as I walked through the door, and even a little after 5 p.m. on a Friday, the line moved quickly. I walked in fully intending to order a slice of Grandma Pizza. Then I saw the German Slice. Steak. Onions. Sauce. Bell peppers. Banana peppers. And it looked AMAZING! Plans immediately changed. One German Slice to go, please. For $4.25, a few minutes later I was trotting out the door with a warm pizza box in hand, headed for a waterside picnic at a nearby park. When I opened the box, I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the slice. It was bigger than I remembered, which is never a bad thing when you're hungry after spending the day hiking. One bite confirmed that I'd made the right decision. The crust was thin and baked perfectly--crisp without being burnt, sturdy enough to hold all the toppings without turning into a floppy mess. The topping combination was fantastic. The steak, onions, peppers, and sauce worked together perfectly, creating something that felt like a cheesesteak and a pizza had gotten together and decided to make everyone's day better. The toppings were generous, the flavors were balanced, and every bite delivered exactly what I was hoping for after a long day outdoors. Sometimes all you need is a simple slice of pizza done really well, and Palumbo's absolutely delivered. Kudos to Palumbo's for serving quality pizza, generous portions, and keeping their prices reasonable. I'll definitely be back--and next time I may actually order that Grandma Pizza I originally came for...assuming another tempting slice doesn't distract me first!

Okay, so here's a review for Palumbo's Pizza, Hampton Township, Carlisle Pike…read more I want to start by saying the guy was clear to reiterate on my takeout order that this was Palumbo's Pizza, Hampton Township, Carlisle Pike. So get that straight. To start my review off, I'm one of those guys who can wax intellectual about a sub and a sub shop. I can wax intellectual about homemade rolls and spicy little peppers and pepperoncinis and the sort on a nice po' boy. And I gotta say it, I am a repeat spicy Italian offender of Palumbo's Pizzeria in Hampton Township. It is a place I periodically forget about. I'm not a frequent flyer, but I have flown many times. And whenever I remember Its always love at first bite for me. So I want to recap my experience a little bit here. Called the dude up. I was like, "Hey, can I order a super Italian? I would like a super Italian, please." I think because the pizzeria down street from my house in Harrisburg has a super Italian, he seemed a little flummoxed by my ordering. And I said, "Yes, a super Italian?" Then I corrected myself and I was thinking, what's it called? What's it called? Something... it's not an Italian, it's something else. It's like a spicy Italian. He said, "A spicy Italian." And I was like, "Yeah, that. I want that." And I always get spicy pepper relish and sweet peppers on it , you know, the whole deal with all the fixins and everything. The guy was super nice. He's like, "Yeah, the spicy Italian." Then he said the thing about the Hampton Township, and I swung by in 15 minutes, got my sub, and he remembered who I was when I got there. He said, "Oh yeah, so every pizza shop..." -- he corrected me on my super Italian thing -- "every pizza shop has a particular thing they call their special Italian. So it took me a second to realize what you were talking about." I loved that little banter. And I also wanted to add: the guy, for whatever reason, reminds me of one character from Cobra Kai. Like big bro energy super nice, down-to-earth, chill guy. I don't wanna name who it is, but if you know, and you go to Palumbo's and you see Cobra Kai, you'll know who I'm talking about. But needless to say, great experience. They've delivered time and time again. I am astounded every single time I have one of these things. I don't really have a crazy descriptor for the sandwich itself -- just know it's a homemade roll. It tastes fresh and light. It's sweet and spicy and juicy and creamy... all the things that you want on a nice SPICY Italian sub. So take my word for it: Palumbo's of Hampton Township .....ALL CAPS .....Carlisle Pike. Not super Italian... spicy Italian.

Order at the counter and take a number to your seat. No alcohol, so make sure you BYOB (we didn't, darn it). Food came out in about 10 minutes. We ordered 6 wings and the traditional square since this is what they're known for. The wings came out first ($11 for 6) with celery and some real creamy Bleu Cheese. Cooked perfectly and the garlic parm was really good, just could've used a dash of salt. The pizza was excellent, with a light and crispy crust. The sauce on top of the cheese is unusual but is what makes this pizza special. It reminded me of the square trays from NEPA and I really enjoyed it. The sauce and crust had great flavor. We will be coming back to try the Margherita pizza for sure and maybe some more wings (if they're on special). One of the reasons for our visit was the Clipp coupon ($30 of food for $15), so this helped keep our costs down. It was only about $4 more for a drink and tip, so not an excellent value if paying full price. I hope some of the low review scores get updated because our experience was really good and I wish the same for others and the nice people in this restaurant.

Not impressed at all. They seem completely overwhelmed by a busy weekend evening. Update: the pizza was NOT good. Soggy and tasteless. After them messing up my order in the first place, I had to go back and it took almost 30 minutes to get my replacement pizza. No apology...no compensation...nothing. The garlic knots were delicious...I'll give them that compliment. However, I can tell you that we won't be returning. We will stick with our old favorite...so much better.

When I walked in today to indulge in a lunch that I don't have to clean my kitchen after it prep the vegetables before. I was met with a pleasant fragrance of food. It wasn't a specific dish, and nothing overpowering, just the smell of an active, clean kitchen with good ingredients. The counter had a display case of 'bolis and pizzas and two registers in front of an exposed kitchen area with upbeat music. The employee at the register was friendly and kind. We shared a joke about the restaurant taking care of prepping the veggies. She told me about lunch specials involving an individual mini 'boli or pizza slices. I opted for a Large Grilled chicken salad with its balsamic vinaigrette and onion rings to go. While I waited I took note of a clean and orderly split dining room, a case of cold beverages and, to add some charm, a turn key style candy filled gumball machine. When I got home, the onion rings were still hot, with crispy breading and soft onions. One of the peeves I have with onion rings is when the onion doesn't have a "clean bite" and you end up pulling the onion out of the breading. These didn't do that. The slices are thick enough and are cooked to the right temperature to have a clean bite with a tender onion texture. There was a small cup of ranch. The salad was very filling! It was topped with chunks of grilled chicken, a handful of shredded mozzarella, some iceberg lettuce, sliced Roma tomato, thin slivers of red onions, black olives, pickled bell peppers, cucumbers, and shredded carrots. I found an olive pit in my salad. It happens, and I'm glad I didn't chip a tooth on it! I'm also glad I don't have to pit olives. There was a good size piece of bread in the side with the balsamic vinaigrette I asked for. The bread had a wonderful texture and the vinaigrette was nicely tangy. Overall, it's was a good lunch in a convenient location.
