My wife got shaped pizzas for us on Valentine's Day As per usual, the pizza was pretty good...however, for the price, grossly undersized. The pizzas were very small. Very disappointing. We were sharing with our daughter and her husband...not a lot to go around. By the size of the box, we were expecting something much more impressive. I can't speak to the service or the ambiance bc she went and picked them up...but I'm guessing it was par for the course...usually good. If you're going to offer a special like that for a holiday, don't make it such a disappointment. read more

Solid 4 stars, approaching 5 based on our first visit. Nice restaurant (formerly a Wendy's) with a modern décor and some Philadelphia history of the chain's origins plastered on the walls. Order at the counter and take a number to your seat. No alcohol, so make sure you BYOB (we didn't, darn it). Food came out in about 10 minutes. We ordered 6 wings and the traditional square since this is what they're known for. The wings came out first ($11 for 6) with celery and some real creamy Bleu Cheese. Cooked perfectly and the garlic parm was really good, just could've used a dash of salt. The pizza was excellent, with a light and crispy crust. The sauce on top of the cheese is unusual but is what makes this pizza special. It reminded me of the square trays from NEPA and I really enjoyed it. The sauce and crust had great flavor. We will be coming back to try the Margherita pizza for sure and maybe some more wings (if they're on special). One of the reasons for our visit was the Clipp coupon ($30 of food for $15), so this helped keep our costs down. It was only about $4 more for a drink and tip, so not an excellent value if paying full price. I hope some of the low review scores get updated because our experience was really good and I wish the same for others and the nice people in this restaurant. read more

On the recommendation of a friend, we tried Santuccis tonight. Husband had the buffalo chicken pizza and I had a special--crispy chicken and honey mustard. Delish! We chatted with the owner and her daughter, who were lovely. They do catering as well. Definitely recommend! Love the decor and vibe of the place too. As someone who lived in Philly for 4 years and visits regularly, this is FANTASTIC. I always go to Santuccis in Philly when I visit and now I don't have to go all the way up there. This pizza is identical and the pasta was outstanding. The vodka sauce is creamy and delicious. The pizza is 100% authentic and just delicious, I don't even know what more to say! They even included an ENTIRE ORDER of garlic bread (normally 8 dollars but was given for free) with my GIANT pasta order! This pasta was less than 20 dollars and it could easily feed 3 people. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get your pizza from Santuccis next time you want pizza, let's keep this absolutely fantastic and iconic chain in business! Oh and the cannoli was 10/10, had to have been freshly piped as the shell was nice and crispy and the filling was so creamy and sweet. I am a cannoli snob so I promise you this is good! read more

We had gone to Santuccis on N Broad at after soccer games so we're excited to try this one. I ordered the short rib sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches I have had. It comes with provolone and mushrooms and the best Italian roll. I am Looking forward to going again just to get the sandwich. Moist, flavorful and the best roll! So good. A bit expensive for what you get but the overall quality of the food was alright. My complaint is that everything lacked flavor. The food was completely boring. I find that interesting because I read some of the other reviews and somebody complained of too much oregano and I was thinking I would love to see some oregano in what we ordered. Not sure if it's a quality control issue or what but after wanting to try this place for a long time and being so disappointed I'll stick with the other available options in this area. Sadly, there were more negative events which I will say offended my father when he asked for a refund for overcooked food and was told they couldn't help him. His bill was over $120. Months later we were offered a refund after a negative review but my family would rather be treated fairly the first time instead of when a negative review is given. Save your money. read more

Wow! Sorry we waited until this past Sunday to try the food. The pizza was incredible. Crisp crust and a bit of spice to the sauce. It reheated so well also for leftovers. The cheesesteak Stromboli is unlike any others. It was a very thin crust, but crispy, with plenty of meat and cheese and onions. Best Stromboli and pizza in the area. The sauce on the side for the Stromboli was also delicious and plentiful. Sorry we took the photos after already eating some. Both the pizza and Stromboli are large portions! read more

We had the bake your own pizza at a neighbor's house. I love someone's previous comment about it being like 6th grade pizza because it totally gave us that vibe! However, it's good. I recommend adding toppings and seasoning to the sauce. It was a little salty, but lacked flavor. read more

There should be a 2.5 rating. Not impressed at all. Sauce was too sweet with too much oregano and a little salty ... and despite that, there wasn't enough of it. Not sure how they made me want more of something that wasn't good, but they did. Crust was super crispy which isn't always bad, but in this case it wasn't good. The crust must have split a little after bending and when it went back to straight in my mouth, it trapped two taste buds in there - that's how crispy it was. Honestly reminded me of Pizza Hut with a less sauce and less grease. The large isn't big enough or tasty enough to justify $20 (or $23 if you want a single topping). Also got the meatballs. $11 but not much meat. Flavor of meatballs was fine but nothing spectacular. Included my hand for scale, and fwiw I have a pretty small hand (6.25" from palm to tip of middle finger). The person who described it as "thin" was spot-on. Edit - I have reduced it to 2 stars. Santucci's seems to be pretty dividing judging by the reviews on here. I gave it two shots and here are my thoughts(I didn't mean to make that rhyme.) First time, I will be honest was a little underwhelmed. But I will chalk that up to them being pretty new and I think I kinda made a mistake on my order. (Ordering extra cheese on these style of pizza seems to be a rookie mistake) Second time? Woooo what a difference. Got pizza with just pepperonis and an order of wings. The pizza this time was much more balanced. It was very good. The wings? They were great. A total surprise as I am use to pizza chain places wings being pretty awful. So why the 4 stars instead of 5? Well that's simply because of the price point. Listen these guys ABSOLUTELY blow every other chain or chain-esque place out of the water. Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa Johns, they aren't even in the same league. Santucci's takes their lunch money and rubs their faces in the sand every day when it comes to being a better pizza place. So I don't have a problem paying more for higher quality food. BUT them being higher in price than the mom and pop places is where it gets dicey. I will occasionally go back and suggest everyone give them a try and judge for yourself. I do hope they are successful and stick around. They seem like super nice people. The care they put into both their food and their care of patrons is outstanding at Santucci's! My wife and I just enjoyed our second visit tonight with friends and had one of the better pasta dishes I've had in a while. The service was fast, hot, tasty and plentiful. My advice is come hungry. This is pizza for kids. Ordered the large Margherita for $26.00. The one word I would use to describe this pizza is "THIN" . Thin on size (thickness), thin on flavor(sauce), thin on toppings(Mozzarella). I understand it is a thin crust square(Sicilian) pizza but for $26.00 it just wasn't worth it. Okay that is judging what you get to what you pay. So what about the pizza itself ? This pie was what I call safe. No spice (flavor) , a bit too salty and what I started out this review with : Kid neutral friendly . nothing to sink your teeth into and say boy that is good .... $26 bucks for over rated Pizza Hut / Domino's kind of pizza... Just my opinion, please go and try it for yourselves and see what you think. I'll stick to the rise of a real Sicilian dough pizza for under or near $22. read more

If you were disappointed early on, give this place another try. There was much anticipation when they first opened and they were inundated early on. There were certainly some early growing pains, but that has all been straightened out. You will be hard pressed to find a better steak and cheese sub, and the quality of the pizza (I'm partial to The Works) is vastly improved from that of the initial opening weeks. I LOVE this place. I have been here several times and all of the food is great! I used to enjoy Santucci's Pizza when I worked in Philadelphia and this is awesome to enjoy again here. They have great Cheesesteaks as well! The place is family owned and I always prefer to support small businesses when possible rather than the endless chain restaurants. You save a lot of money with the BYOB here in a casual atmosphere and we love getting together with friends without spending a small fortune. Maybe we made the mistake of ordering on their opening day. Called in at six was told it was a 20 to 30 minute wait. Sat in the restaurant for 30 minutes and got our food at seven. Ordered two pizzas, one a white pizza and the second was a margarita pizza, both were over cooked with burnt cheese and toppings. Sauce on the margarita was was a very very thin layer with some sort of spices and the mozzarella. The cheese slices where very small and dry. Definitely not worth the price. I'd give it a 3-1/2, but the slice I had doesn't quite earn a 4. A single slice with pepperoni was $4 (plus tax); their signs advertising a slice for $3 has a line of teeny-tiny type that says "starting from" above the big $3, but it's not something you can read as you drive by. The slice of pepperoni was surprising good! A nicely crisp crust (which I prefer; I don't care for big floppy slices) and a decent amount of pepperoni. The flavors were well balanced and the ratio of cheese, sauce, and meat was good. The slice was small compared to most places and definitely costs more than I have ever paid for a slice. The $4 rectangular slice was about 4 inches by 3.5 inches (not quite a square). I went inside to order my slice, and the place looks pretty good! There was only one other person there, but they had just opened. I didn't sit at a table, but there was ample seating. Tables were stocked with salt, pepper, crushed red pepper, oregano, and garlic powder, and ketchup (but no parmesan!). I want to go back and order a whole pizza, because it really was tasty. I didn't notice it being overly salty like others have mentioned, and I am sensitive to salty things. I am on the fence about the pricing; it seems over priced, but the quality may justify the cost. Exciting addition to the pizza scene and the Italian food scene in the West Shore. The Margherita pie was first class, from the sauce to the crispy but tender crust. We tried two salads and each was a hit with the family. Dressings and ingredients were fresh and flavorful. Finally we also had the chicken Parmesan sub and the traditional cheesesteak. Both were delicious and made of quality ingredients. So glad to have the first Philly Italian shop in the midstate. We will be back! read more

The sparsely topped square pizza is what Santucci's calls "the works." The round pizza is the works from Vito's on the Cumberland Parkway for $5 less. If you're going to charge $30 for a pizza, you need to step it up. read more

Giving Santucci's in Mechanicsburg Pa our trial run today. Called order in 2 hours ahead - wanting to give a new business ample prep time. We ordered a large pizza with pepperoni, mushroom & extra cheese. Also placed an order for a side of the long hots. Arrived slightly early for pick up & order was in the works per staff... nice as I knew it would be hot & fresh. Not to mention they were attentive to where my order was in the process. One couple dining in , the dining room was clean, not necessarily a spot I would choose to dine in as it was fairly stark. More of a take out atmosphere. The space was a Wendy's restaurant years ago. There appeared to be ample staff. My order was brought out to me & the woman was gracious. I told her this was our first order with Santucci's & hoped to be returning. The pizza was very good. Great crust, toppings covered the pizza well. Liked the sauce , not too sweet. The long hots were new to me, served with great slices of bread to pop the peppers & juices onto. Spicy & nice addition to the pizza. Price overall was fair. A bit more expensive than our usual go to pizza spot. However this pizza was a cut above & I can only imagine how costly it is to start up a franchise. Will visit again. Best wishes to this new Mechanicsburg restaurant. The sauce is spicy...the garlic parm fries tasted like fryer grease and no garlic what so ever. It cost $55 for a pizza with one topping, a meatball sub (made with frozen processed meatballs), and fries. Save your money and don't bother going here. read more

Awesome atmosphere, and very good pizza. We are new to Mechanicsburg, and it's a breath of fresh air having an authentic tasting Philadelphia pizza in Mechanicsburg. They totally separate themselves from the other local pizzerias, which basically all have similar tasting pizza to us. Their Works Pizza is delicious, and their long hots appetizer is really hot, so if you're a pepper lover give it a shot. Their cheesesteak was loaded with meat and toppings.
