I just moved to the area and was very eager to find a new yoga studio ASAP. I signed up for the $30…read moreone week trial for the classes since it looked like the best value. I was so disappointed in this studio. It's in a great area, but the studio is only one room for everything, very cramped, and when people come in early for the next class it is disruptive during the yoga rest at the end of the practice. The class was Ok, there was a lot of dead space between moves, and it did not feel like a very good workout overall. And there were only a few moves gone over, not very cohesive. I tried calling a few times to cancel my last 3 classes that I reserved because I had to return home to New Orleans last minute for a family emergency, but there was no voice mail, the phone kept ringing. I was fine loosing the $30 since I only was able to attend one class for the week. I planned on sending an email once my flight landed back home and I was able to get settled and help my family through this difficult time, obviously sending an email to a yoga studio after several attempts at calling, was not my main priority. When I got to my computer yesterday, I had received a very snarky email from the owner advising me that she was charging me $10 for each class I missed, when I explained that I tried to call and inform that I could not attend, she very rudely replied that it is not her responsibility to cancel my classes for me. Over it, and make sure you do not save your credit card information to the site, they WILL charge you without your permission and there is no option to delete your card info once added, you can only edit or add another card. I recommend the Vita Prana Studio a little further down Atlanta road if you are new to the area.

We were hosting 11 ladies on a Women in Leadership Retreat. We want to created an experience for self care and an opportunity to unplug and become more grounded. I have never organized this type of experience, however, Jamaica made it easy and the ladies were absolutely blown away from the time they entered The Healing Environment and so was I! Jamaica designed a 6 hour experience for us and it was beautiful! She walked me through planning the menu with wine and bubbles! They make an incredible champagne tea you have to try! The food was fresh and fantastic! We had fresh fruit and veggies to snack on and a beautiful dinner! Our service were unbelievable! As a group we started with Zin Yoga to relax and get ready for the rest of the time! The yoga instructor was amazing and led us into a deep mediation during yoga which was beautiful! Jamaica had our rotation very well planned! It was perfect! We also experienced breath work, tuning bowls, chakra therapy, facials, massage and ended with a beautiful sound bath! I can't even put into words how incredible this environment and experience was for our ladies! We felt rejuvenated, grounded and loved truly every moment!

I met DDP at a restaurant the night before I decided to try out the studio, he was so friendly and he explained the studio so passionately, I was already wanting to try it out ever since I saw the documentary, Resurrection of Jake the Snake, it features him and DDP's method, amazing movie, but nothing like DDP himself to sway you! He let me know he was teaching the class the next morning, so I told him I'd be there! I showed up about 15 minutes before, I brought my own mat and towel, make sure you bring a towel, you will sweat, ALOT. I was greeted warmly by the girl at the front desk and she explained everything I needed to know. They supply you with a heart monitor which is an awesome feature, your name appears on the screen in front of the class so you can check your progress, make sure you're in the correct range for your heart rate an it tracks the calories you have burned. The actual class was amazing. It was incredibly high energy, but I still feel like I got a great stretch and a very complete flow. By the end I had burned over 900 Calories and I was beat! One of the best work outs I've ever had! You have to try it, I had So much fun, and the people that work there and work out are all incredibly friendly and supportive.c

Before taking my first yoga class, I was not aware of the many tangible benefits of practicing yoga. First, I felt the dopamine boost from the sweating and the movement. Then I started to feel more flexible and even stronger in my core, arms and legs. Once I got more confident in class after getting used to hearing the names of the many asanas and no longer had to look around to see what to do, I felt the mind and body connection much stronger. Yoga became my me time and also helped me get in even better shape. Now, I can truly see how connecting to your breath not only relaxes your body but it also provides you with energy and peace. The studio is well organized and always clean. Parking is free and easily accessible. Even when things are busy at high volume class times, the check in process is always smooth and efficient. The vibe of the studio feels bright, modern, peaceful and positive. However, some serious sweating goes down in class! Even when I fall out of a pose or accidentally turn the opposite way of the class, I always feel like I can easily get back into the flow. All of the instructors that I have had (30+ different teachers), give clear and concise cues and helpful tips about certain asanas. There is a sense of community among all the challenges and business of living in the city. I highly recommend to anyone interested in yoga or someone who would like a new hobby to try out several different classes and see what works for them.

I've been to 2 classes and adore/crave the experience... I am a casual bodybuilder, and former long…read moredistance runner (NOT naturally flexible or graceful). This class helps build mind-muscle connection to make my weight lifting more effective, and DEFINITELY has a sculpting/shaping effect. I want my butt bigger, not just "toned", so I could never do JUST barre, but it burns fat on my upper thighs, as well as improves SHAPE of all muscles. As far as the clientele... The older ladies in class are very sweet and encouraging, the younger girls seem stuckup, however EVERYONE is focused on getting through the intense moves. So, don't worry about being new! You'll probably feel most comfortable wearing sticky socks & black tights, but I wear whatever clean socks I can find, and prefer colorful stuff. I've done barre at other studios, which had more space, cuter decor, or hotter music, but the energy here is unbeatabale. Not sure if its the dim lighting, serious instructors, or just structure of the routine, but everything about class helps you focus and get in "the zone".

Starting the new year, I told myself I would get out of my comfort zone and try new things…read more Instagram must have been reading my mind when I was targeted for a "Free Intro Class" to my local Pure Barre. From there, I was able to simply sign up via the add. Later, I was conveniently contacted by an automated text system that kindly reminded me of my reservations. Day of, I made it right before the start of class so, I unfortunately missed the tour of the studio. I quickly signed my waivers and jumped in right at the nick of time! The studio was small but very neat. First Impressions: A neatly arranged front entryway with branded gear and waters for sale, along with the front desk to your left. Behind the wall was their only studio. It's a pretty good size for such small parameters at the Vinings Jubilee. I'm unsure If I was the only newcomer, but everyone seemed a bit more familiar with the routine. The instructor positions herself at the front of the room facing the mirrors. Everyone else is evenly spaced at their own spot at a bar along the 4 walls, and I was in the middle at a stand alone bar. The class was moderately tough. Some parts were a bit more challenging than others, but all of that depends on your skill level. I truly believe any level individual could come and take this class and walk away with a good burn. Some areas of criticism: - I was never introduced to the instructor or welcomed to the class, but this could of been due to me being right on time. It would have been nice to have felt noticed and welcomed. - The instructor could have been more attentive during the workout in order to help make adjustment to posture/ positioning during the routine. There was a few times I felt unsure of I was doing, or if I was even doing the correct movement! As I would look around, I noticed everyone was doing some variation of what she was doing. I would prefer more instruction. While working hard time seems to move so slow! The class included the use of a small ball, 2 hand weights ( which you can change out according to your strength level), and a loop resistance band. We did some pretty cool exercises! Definitely creative stuff Post class, the receptionist and the instructor spoke with me shortly about the different classes they offer and some membership options. Although I opted not to sign up, I did get in a good workout.
