Both are very nice with great instructors, the people here are friendly and welcoming and helpful if you're new to yoga. I absolutely love everything about this studio. I live near several different yoga studios and this is my absolute favorite studio. They just did a complete renovation of their store front and have many different options of yoga gear and accessories (Manduka, LuLuLemon, Alo, Spiritual Gangsta, etc.) As for classes, there are so many different options and something for every type of yoga. Pricing they offer student/teacher discounts and and community teacher classes for just $6. There are classes available for the brand new yogi all the way to the most advanced yogi. They offer prenatal yoga classes which is so hard to find in this area as well as kid's yoga, teen yoga, and family yoga. The first time I walked into the studio, I was a newer yogi trying to find a place to deepen my practice instead of the gym that I was a member of. I was planning to shop around at many different studios but after my first class I was absolute hooked. They offer a wonderful 2-weeks of unlimited yoga for $25 that gives you the chance to try out as many classes as you want during that time. Give it a try! You won't regret it! read more

I first discovered this place via a Yelp event! We came for a hot yoga session. It happened to be my first foray into hot yoga. I had a lot of fun and felt energized and limber after the session. Our instructor was super nice and helpful with tips throughout the session to help us get the most out of the workout. It was a challenging class without any of us (all at different levels of practice) feeling like we were in over our heads. After the Yelp session I ended up signing up for a few more sessions and came for a few hot yoga sessions. This is a great studio in a great location with clean well kept rooms and great instructors. One of my favorite things about this studio is that Updog Smoothies is right there for an awesome pick me up after your session. If I lived closer to Marietta or my schedule allowed for it I would definitely have continued to come here! read more

I first went to BeYoga with other Yelpers at Yelp CMYE Fit Club: Be Yoga and UpDog Smoothies. Well, the Yelp version was a pussified version of their real class. I forgot the girl's name who taught it, but she did a lot tougher things compared to the Yelp class. We must have done several chair poses throughout our session. I once again maintain that BeYoga's Hot Yoga class was one of the tougher Yoga classes I've been to. She introduced more advanced poses like the crow pose and headstands. Luckily, she gave beginner versions for people who couldn't do them. I think beginner versions are good and should be available for every pose, even simple ones. The instructor seemed tough but fair. Their philosophy is that Yoga is like a buffet. You only need to take what you need. So if something is too tough to do, you don't have to do it. If you get tired, you can take a child pose to help recover. And I like how they emphasize the practice should be about yourself, not comparing yourself to others. One thing that was missing from this class, that I experienced in the Yelp CMYE class, was they didn't make us reach out and touch someone. I enjoyed that aspect of the Yelp class. I wonder if it was because it was a class full of strangers and not people we know. Perhaps that's not something they do every day. They also did more woo-woo Hindu stuff in this class. I must admit, that part of the class is weird. I'm not too keen on saying, "aum" (3 syllables BTW, not "om") or weird incantations. I understand why they would do it though. However, I like to decouple the Hinduism from Yoga. There are many arguments for and against decoupling Hinduism from Yoga. BeYoga seems to keep parts of the Hindu tradition in their Yoga practice. That's something to consider if that part is important to you. At the end, they have dessert towels. They are cold towels they place over your eyes when you're laying down. That's always the best part. I can eat a whole carton of dessert towels. The drop in class seemed expensive. It's $15 for a 60-75 minute class. Also, if you don't have a mat, they are $2 each. Towels cost $1 to rent as well. Also, their monthly dues are $99. $99 seems like a lot. But if you go at least once a week, it'll be similar to paying the drop in rate. So if you want to buy the monthly class, make sure to go as much as possible to get the most bang for your money. read more

I've been coming to Be Yoga since I moved to Marietta about a year and a half ago. I love it here. I take 2-4 classes here per week and it is my favorite studio around. All the teachers I have taken are great and really know their stuff. The schedule is pretty convenient to, I work during the day and I can only make evening classes but they have a 7:30 class Monday to Thursday that is perfect for me. I saw the first reviewer said the room never got hot, but that's definitely not true, I know that review is from a few years ago though, and every time I take hot yoga the room is always in the upper 90s. (I've had the spot where you can see the digital thermostat before I've also sweat enough to prove it) Overall a great space with an awesome vibe, and fun friendly people! Best of all I've seen my yoga skills greatly improve since starting but the teachers still continue to challenge me every time I go! read more

Great studio with super friendly people. It was my first time and they made me feel at home. 1st class is FREE! I tried the unlimited 2 week pass for $25 and tried out quiet a few classes. I am not into HOT yoga so all my experience has been with the regular classes. I have attended one Warm Be Yin class and that was nice. It was a cold morning so I appreciated the warm room (about 80). All the instructors have something unique to offer and their own style of teaching, so I encourage you to try as many as you can. I find the classes to be challenging, yet not competitive in any way. The overall studio community is warm and sincere without being intrusive or pushy. The space itself is clean and peaceful with some sitting space to wait for classes or enjoy a smoothie from the smoothie bar located in the back. Its easy walking distance to the Marietta Square and parking is only ever an issue if there is an event going on. Otherwise, I have always parked on the street, usually right in front, but I do usually get there at least 10 minutes early. I really love this studio and am super happy I found it! read more

This place has been my mental saving grace! I started back to yoga almost eight weeks ago after taking some classes while home for the holidays. I have several friends that go here regularly and love each class they have attended. I am a regular CrossFitter and I wanted to return to Yoga for my cross-training days. Be Yoga has been such an amazing experience so far, I am happy I have been attending regularly. Julie's power yoga classes are absolutely phenomenal, she doesn't utilize music throughout the whole session and that allows me to connect with my breath and really focus on the movements. I would consider myself a pretty strong female, and I continue to be challenged in every class. I am so thankful I decided to start up again with yoga. I feel so energized and peaceful after EVERY SINGLE SESSION, and I'm still always sore. I look forward to my Thursday morning sessions with Julie and now my husband joins me on Sunday mornings with Tatiana! I have been going to Be Yoga for about 4 weeks now and I love it!! I did a lot of research before deciding this was the place I wanted to be. I have not regretted my decision. I love that Be Yoga offers classes at 5:30pm and 6:00pm, so I can go straight from work. I also like the selection of teachers to choose from. Each teacher has their own unique style which makes the classes interesting and fun. My first class was with Matt Johnston, he is quite the character. Matt makes the class fun, light hearted, and is very helpfully with his instructions. Miriam Frost has a mother's heart and you will always feel her comfort and strength. She is an excellent teacher. Miriam takes the time to help her students with the correct movement and is very encouraging. I feel like I have grown the most with Julie Newton's class. Julie has a methodical way of teaching, she is calm, precise, and encouraging. Jessie Fletcher is a beast and challenges me like no other. The first time I took her class "I thought I was gonna die". I was determined that would not take another of Jesse's classes until I got better at Yoga. I was determined to go 4 times per week which gave me no option but to take Jessie's class or choose a Be Pilates Hot, which scared me even more! I am so glad I didn't stop going to Jessie's class. She is a fast paced teacher, and although she still kills me, I am pushing myself harder than ever. The final teacher I have experienced is Michele Stewart, she is so funny and sweet and she was exactly what I needed being new to yoga. Her direction and acceptance to all is refreshing. I am 55, have never taken yoga before, so don't let age or feeling inadequate stop you from trying this awesome place. This studio, the instructors, and the art of learning "my practice" has changed my life. I have never been anywhere that offered so much benefit physically, mentally, and spiritually. I love every instructor (I have had most of them), because they are AUTHENTIC. They are all different - focus on different aspects of yoga - have different styles & presentation BUT, the one thing they all have in common is that they are genuine. In every class I am in, I find all shapes, all sizes, all levels of ability, and all types of people. What I never find is judgement, criticism, shame, or embarrassment. I am not the type to tell people about my private life - ever. Yet, I find myself recommending this place to everyone I know, even strangers! One visit is not enough. You need to come to several classes with the right intention. If your intention is to criticize, judge, or find faults - I am sure you can. That is true with anything and everyone. But I believe we can choose what to look for in any situation. If you come to class open to the challenge and discovery of something new - or something old presented in a new way.....if you come wanting to discover something new about yourself or meet a new friend with a fresh perspective, if you want to be taught how to find peace and focus on the NOW - then that is what you will find here. I don't have much patience for some of the Yelp Reviews that are extremely harsh and critical. I think that people forget, Humans are teaching these classes - not robots. They are allowed to have an "off" day too. I would not want to be judged on 60 minutes of my life as the end all be all of who I am. It is not fair to receive that judgement or extend it. It bears repeating - if you are focused, you will always find exactly what you are looking for - good or bad. There are some people that find fault like it is their job - to them I say, come back - when you are ready to experience something new, something restorative, something special - because that is what BEYOGA is - every single time. read more

Have I finally found my yoga home? Maybeeee.* I came here today for Wednesday's lunch time 45 minute yoga session. Does anyone else always begin to type yoga and get stuck after the "yo.." and find your mind wandering to froyo? Just me? Okay then..anyways...I love mid-afternoon yoga session and not too many studios have them- understandable since the employed are usually working during this time and participation can be slim. Point to the unemployed! I saw this class online and liked the idea of it being a 45 minute class that gets down to business. Having never been here I was excited to try a new place with a new instructor. Of course I was ELATED to walk in and see a smoothie bar (WHAT?!?). You can pre-order your smoothie prior to class and it'll be ready post-class, amazing is what that is and there are like 86 smoothie concoctions!! The studio itself is clean and simple, which I loved. As someone else mentioned, the room we were in was quite small- I think there were 5 of us and I think 7 would've been the max. I'm not sure if there's another practice room, but that was the only one I saw. I really liked the instructor. He walked around and adjusted us and talked us through poses but also got down on his mat and worked some poses- I find a lot of instructors just stand around telling you what to do, no thanks. I also loved that he gave pose modifications for more advanced yogis. Finally, I love Be Yoga because it's not too wooey. There aren't any fountains running or strange music. Cool studio and cool people. *Of course, don't expect this to be a monogamous relationship because I will cheat- you know what they say... read more

This place is really good. Hot Pilates with jasmine and an awesome Be Dynamic class with Jessie won me over. They are both enthusiastic and talented. Really enjoying my practice at the studio. I started yoga almost 2 years ago with no experience at all. I was hooked instantly. After being a long distance runner for many years and neglecting stretching, I saw results immediately in my entire body and it really helped me stay injury free, become more flexible, and mentally and physically stronger. I have tried to find a home studio for nearly 10 years. I've taken classes all over and never found a place that fit, until now. This studio is beautiful in every sense of the word. The teachers are diverse, but I genuinely enjoy their varied approaches. I've learned more in one hour with some of them, than in years of other practice. But I'm most struck by how open and welcoming they all are. The owners have created a true community and they are genuinely happy to welcome new students into that community. I came into class after a really hard day. It was first class here and first yoga class in a long time. Everyone was very welcoming. The guy at the front desk was so sweet, I swear he could tell I needed a warm friendly smile. He showed me around and walked me into class. I went this past weekend for the first yoga class I have taken in close to 10 years. Jami was the instructor for Be Basic and it couldn't have gone better. Jami was a great instructor and also a great hostess - she made me feel immediately welcome and showed me around the studio. The class was perfect for someone who hasn't been practicing or for someone new to yoga - she explained each pose well and gave several variations for the different levels in each class and walked around offering suggestions. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the air conditioning wasn't working, so even the non-hot class was hot - it was 80 degrees in the room! And this is apparently a semi-frequent occurrence. read more

Love the Be Slow class with Danielle. Great for stretching your muscles, especially if you're experiencing pain (shoulder, back, etc). First class is free. Everyone is friendly and the students are of all ages. And there's a smoothie shop called "Up Dog" inside the studio. They'll have your smoothie ready when you're done. Just started my 2 week unlimited yoga and pilates with no major issues. My favorite part of this studio is the instructors are not snippy or rude, instead they are very helpful and understanding. The only downside is the size of the hot room only fits 12 folks before getting really packed. Even with 12 people you simply stagger your position on the mat like you do at any studio. On the other hand the second room is much larger and space is not an issue. Overall, it is VERY clean and refreshing with a staff that is focused on your wellbeing and personal growth with yoga and pilates. read more

First time trying Yin Yoga and didn't even know what it was (deep stretches held for a long time). For a Sunday, I was surprised how full the class was, but folks were nice and helped the newby with all the tools, and the maps were provided. The instructor was very good, and kept an eye on the new kids, and came by often to help position a block, deepen or offer alternatives to certain stretches. Very nice and quietly done so you never felt the spotlight was on you for doing it wrong. She also came up afterwards to both of us newbies and asked our thoughts, and any issues/body aches. Very thorough and nice. Will try this again. The only reason I did not give a full 5 stars is the juice bar wasn't open (would have loved to try) and the receptionist only gave me a quick verbal discussion before the class of the membership options and times for classes. The instructors are knowledgeable, friendly, and will help you modify poses if you have an injury or just trouble with certain poses. Previous reviewer should have tried other classes/instructors. I have been going to be yoga for about a year and a half, and LOVE it there. They recently expanded the studio space, and it's really nice and roomy. The hot room is plenty hot, and the un-heated room is a great option when you don't feel like sweating your eyeballs out. I loved be yoga right away because the owners and teachers made an effort to learn my name... such a small gesture but it made me feel at home and comfortable right away. I found that this yoga studio was not very welcoming to new students. Everyone was a regular, and the teacher made sure to address everyone by name (except me). It was blatantly obvious that I would quickly be reminded that I was an outsider invading their space. The class was advertised as "all levels," but clearly, it was catered to the advanced regulars in the class. Poses were advanced and few options were given as to how to modify. The yoga teacher talked in all the yoga terms, which is perfectly appropriate, but I felt a little intimidated by the yoga language. I just felt like, if you're clearly advertising an all levels class, that some explanation would be included. I had heard so many wonderful things about Be Yoga, that I was sincerely disappointed in my experience as a whole. I wanted to like it---it's right by my house. Since it was my first class, it was complimentary, but I can't see myself trying it for a second time if I will be treated as an inept outsider. Not for me. Meh, was nothing special. I wanted to love this studio, I really did. I bought a $25 unlimited two week hot yoga pass. I arrived on time, and the class started on time. The space is lovely and serene. So what's the problem you ask? Well, it wasn't ever really hot. Which can happen sometimes, but when you're paying money for a "Hot Yoga" class, that's kind of what you're expecting. And it was way too small even for the *seven* people in the class! Seven people in the studio were cramped, and I don't know if that's just sad or poor planning. I like to have a little more space (as in I want to be able to stretch my arms out a bit unless it's a 20 person crowded class). With 7 people I should be able to still have a little bit of personal space! Not to mention, the teacher was eh spacey. I'm all for a carefree peaceful attitude in yoga, but she was just not focused. She kept giggling during class, forgot what pose we should be on, and Lord I hope she wasn't drunk..... Needless to say, I didn't go back after that first class. Sunk cost. read more

This is my favorite Yoga Studio ever. I literally recommend them to everyone I talk to about yoga. I initially was introduced to the studio through a new client offer after that I was hooked, I've been going to as may classes as I can fit in my schedule since February. I've taken many classes Be hot on Sundays at 10 am has been my go to. The 10 am class was formerly taught by Isabelle,but she moved and now Tati, who owns the incredible juice bar Up Dog, which is in the studio, teaches it. I enjoy her classes because they are challenging and help you focus on yourself. All of the many classes I have taken have exceeded my expectations. I love coming here, they have helped me transform my practice and I've learned so much! I try to go as much as my budget and schedule allow. They have single sessions, packages and monthly memberships. All of the teachers are top notch, I'm so happy I found this amazing studio!!! read more

I'm in town on business and looked up yoga studios - decided to give hot yoga a try in keeping with my "do something that scares you every day" mantra. I cannot recommend this studio highly enough. From the staff to the other yogis, I felt completely welcome and accepted. There were all levels of yogis in the class I took and every age group was represented from early 20's to mid 60's and a healthy mix in between - both male and female. There was every body type from the super "flexy yoga-body" girls to average and large framed yogis. I went in with an open mind and that really helped me to be welcomed here. If you decide to try, don't walk in thinking it is a certain way. Allow yourself to just enjoy it and see what happens. I will be back the next time I'm in the area. (By the way-they offered to let me try my first class for free but since I don't live here, I opted to pay.
