iced vanilla latte with macadamia milk & a sausage breakfast sandwich on a croissant with American cheese
    Janrose S.

Delicious and filling portions and a place that offers macadamia milk! It was snowing alllll morning and I think overnight, so there was 5 inches of snow when I sent my mom to work. I really wanted coffee so I stopped by Glacier Grind and they did not disappoint! I got an iced vanilla latte with macadamia milk as I was curious how it'd compare to my usual oat milk, and it was pretty similar. The servers were really nice and my drink came out quite quickly while my sandwich came out shortly after. It's a cute little coffee shack next to the road and a few businesses and it's not too hard to miss. Would recommend to help perk up your mornings!

Drive through coffee shop, absolutely delightful!

We chanced upon this drive through coffee shop as we were heading to Chena Hot Springs. A very pleasant young lady greeted us through the window. We asked her which coffee was a local favorite. She said the white chocolate mocha! That's it! We had 1 each 20ml of piping hot chocolate mocha. It was absolutely delicious! A small drive through coffee shop was a big surprise for us coz we don't have anything like that in Georgia! Highly recommend it!

Helpful staff who let me know that when I order through the "joe" app I can customize my drink or breakfast sandwich (it's not obvious in the app.) I would like to know if the Glacier Water or Glacier Rush drinks have caffeine in them? Hopefully they will address that somewhere on social media.

    Breakfast burrito!

Glacier grind always has the most delicious breakfast burritos. They come with egg, your choice of cheese (I love cheddar, sometimes swiss too), your choice of meat (they now offer black bean patties for vegetarians), hashbrowns, salsa, and sour cream. For $6. They're absolutely delicious and always make my day. Their coffee is great too. My husband really enjoys their white chocolate mocha and I love their vanilla breve's. Both are smooth and perfectly balanced in their sweetness and taste. The baristas are always kind and service is always fast. For those not into coffee or breakfast burritos, take a look at their menu to find more food and drink options. There's something for everyone here.

Cool logo. Plus I like wolves

This is a locally-owned, eco-friendly, woman-owned coffee drive-thru located in the Shoppers Forum Mall parking lot. Reading their Yelp page, I found out they are also about giving back to rescue dogs, as their name comes from the owners rescue dog, Glacier. They have a speciality drink called "Glacier Water," which "shimmers in the sunlight." I'll definitely come back to try one of those on a hot day! They also advertise having Locally Roasted Artisan Coffee. I love their logo and their drive-thru hut. I like that the cups AND the lids are compostable and also Made in Alaska. Cool points for that. Their food menu is full of healthy items like sandwiches and salads, that can be customized to order. Items can be vegetarian or with meat. I appreciate this business, as their focus is on making terrific coffee, coming up with unique items, are female-owned, environmentally-conscious, locally-focused, and have a mission other than being just another drive-thru coffee hut in Fairbanks. I would come back again and would recommend for sure. 12oz cappuccino with coconut flavor and one extra espresso shot was $3.35 (or somewhere around there) and was good. Didn't blow my mind but did not disappoint, either. Edit: July 15, 8ish, Was trying to give this place a shot as my "regular" coffee place, as I kinda like what they're all about, and alas, as most coffee carts, it did not take long for the bloom to be off the rose. Ordered the same thing as yesterday, 12oz coconut cappuccino with an extra espresso. What I got was a 16oz cup of boiling milk with burnt coffee in it and no flavor. So, yeah. Lame. I don't know why I have such hit or miss luck at coffee places. Just won't be back for a long while. Frown. Double edit! Decided to go back and ask for it to be remade. Normally I would NEVER go back and ask for a drink to be remade, you're just cut off, for-ev-err, but today, since I really wanna like this place, I decided to try and see. The lady remembered me and was apologetic about the previous coffee, and went to work making me a new one. The correct size and everything. She even gave me a coupon for my next visit. I guess it was an honest mistake of forgetting to put the coconut flavoring in. The new coffee was great. It can be awkward to ask for a correction, at least for me anyway, but there was no combativeness or animosity, which I appreciated. Thank you nice lady. Star restored, faith restored. Most likely will return. 7-23-19: Tried a different flavor today of Chocolate Chip Cookie and I am glad I did! It was really tasty. I will add that the last two times visiting, the gals have been genuinely nice and cheerful. I would recommend trying this place if you haven't yet.

Baristas really know what they're doing and have fun experimenting/trying out new drink combos. There are so many flavors and options! Plus the wall is SO cute for photos if you're into that :)

Don't go unless you like a big mound of ice in your drinks even when you ask for light ice. Overall it's pretty okay.

I ended up getting some tacos and my husband got a sandwich. Both of them had really good flavor. Could tell that a lot of ingredients are made in house. Though I didn't end up buying any I did see that they had an entire Bakery case with a bunch of gluten-free baked goods like cheesecake, custard cake, and some other stuff. We really enjoyed the glass roof as the snow was just starting to melt. It was kind of cool like we were in a half melted igloo. I would definitely put it on my list if you are gluten-free.

Landed on the BLT with salmon. The BLT actually came with a croissant as the bread, so it made it very easy to eat. Lots of bacon and the salmon went really well with the sandwich. Fries here are great too! Staff here are great! Since we came here near closing time, they actually offered us some of their leftover soup since it would have been tossed out. Definitely hate wasting food, so that offer was accepted very quickly. I didn't realize until after leaving why Blue Roof Bistro has its name. It's because...the roof is blue heh. Either way, worth the visit.

Unfortunately, when we…read morearrived, I noticed that all the crepes were being placed on the same skillet once finished. That meant egg-based crepes were potentially touching the vegan ones. I asked if one skillet could be wiped down so I could safely order, but they weren't able to accommodate that (it also wasn't very busy at the time, which is why I asked). Because of this, I decided not to risk ordering a crepe. I did end up getting the hot chocolate, which was actually excellent. It was really well balanced, rich, and chocolatey without being overly sweet. Everyone else in my group ordered crepes and loved them, so it's clear the food is good. I just wish there was a bit more flexibility around cross-contact for people ordering vegan options or with dietary restrictions. Based on my personal experience, I would lean toward a 2, but since others really enjoyed their crepes and the hot chocolate was great, it feels fair to land on a 3 for my rating.
