If you're visiting the area and you're NOT visiting North Pole Crepery...you're missing out, my friend. During our trip to Fairbanks, we decided to venture to the Santa Claus House because this girl loves all things Christmas. Anyway, rumbling tummies and a quick map search brought us here. And I am so happy it did! North Pole Crepery is quite obviously a family-owned spot serving up very tasty American-style crepes at a very reasonable price. Our crepes were served on deli-style wrappers with plastic utensils and I wouldn't have it any other way. I looove sweet crepes but for brunch, I went all-in on savory. I ordered the turkey pesto crepe and my husband ordered the Buffalo Chicken. We both thoroughly enjoyed our choices. If we didn't have plans later in the evening, my husband probably would've stopped in for round 2 on the way back to Fairbanks. North Pole Crepery. We went into here when checking out what this little area has to offer. Small business and not much to the ambience but the food is good and worth the visit. We have an authentic crepery place at home and this one makes me think of an Americanized version of it. Crepes here are the same but the ingredients in them - they have pizza combinations. The man making the crepes seemed a little cranky but also the only one making the crepes. He was busy enough that we waited 20 minutes to get the food. We came here for breakfast while on our Fairbanks trip. I think we were the first patrons of the day since they open at 10am. Easy parking in a strip mall setting. Very cute shop where you order at the counter and they bring it out to your table. It's a bit casual with disposable utensils and paper plates but the food was great! Huge portions! Some of the most reasonably priced food we had in Alaska. We ordered the strawberry cheesecake crepe and one of the breakfast crepes. Both were delicious! We happened upon North Pole Crepery just a short while before they closed one evening, so we popped in. The place was empty, but the staff, a husband & wife team (I believe) was behind the counter. The menu was rather extensive and very unique. They were kind enough to be patient while we made our choices. After we made our choices (one sweet & one savory crepe for each of us), we were able to watch as they made the crepes right in front of us as we all chatted. On our way to Rods Alaskan guide service, we wanted to stop by for a quick lunch and this place was top on my list based on distance and the fact that it featured crepes. Its a small place with crepes being cooked right in front of you and a variety of filling choices. We opted for banana whip crepe, pepperoni & sausage pizza style crepe and the chicken pesto crepe to share between 4 of us. The banana whip crepe was simple as it should be. Enjoyable. The pesto crepe and pizza crepe were both wonderful...pesto was so tasty with the chicken and the pizza crepe tasted like a wrapped pizza. We LOVED them. The crepes were thin but not dry, flexible but not chewy or doughy. Perfection!! Wish we could go visit them one more time. We found this amazing restaurant on our visit to Fairbanks while taking a drive to North Pole. The food was absolutely fantastic, the restaurant is immaculate, and the owners are so nice. We live in Hawaii and we really enjoyed eating a delicious meal and talking to the owners. I had the gyro crepe and my husband had one of the pizza crepes. They were delicious. Fresh & hot! Want something savory go for the Rueben & if you don't like sauerkraut trust it's good on this crepe! It's not pickled if that's what you're use to.
