The process was what you would hope every home repair job would be like. Communication was easy. Haik answered his phone calls right away and returned his emails within a day. He came to the house to show me door samples, gave recommendations on what style, material, and motor work best for my installation, and gave me a written estimate. Scheduling the install required an initial down payment with the balance due when the work is complete. The install took one day for each garage door. Haik completed the work himself, in spite of a sprained ankle. The quality of the doors and installation are both first-rate. The experience could not have been better. He was over in a short time (had to finish a job he was in the middle of). He helped me manually open my garage door, which was "heavy" due to the broken spring. A friend had told me to upgrade from a 10,000 cycle spring to a 25,000 cycle spring (2-1/2 times the life). Shane was surprised when I asked him, but only because no one asks that normally. The price increase was just a little more, and it took a little longer to do, but definitely worth it. Sorry, lots of words... here's the important part: Shane was a pleasure to work with, a great handyman, was available, and prices were reasonable. I will call him if I have other jobs around my house, even ones that aren't about a garage door!

Tech arrived and upon checking out the door, allows it to come crashing down with a bang when checking the balance. When I asked about different options and the possibility of tightening the existing springs, the prices for anything above the cheapest springs were 3-4 times what others were quoting. When I told the tech I needed time to decide on what we were going to do, he began to apply so much pressure, I could've mistaken him for a car salesman. I wanted to take the time to consult with my wife to ensure that we were both on board with the solution, but it did not seem like they wanted me to take the time to compare quotes and decide on what I wanted to do. He then tried to pressure me to tighten the springs saying that my garage door opener motor would burn out despite previously telling me that tightening the springs would only cause them to fail quicker. I responded that it was only going to take a few days and needed to think things through. When it was clear I wasn't going to be a quick sell, he was visibly upset and quickly left. I ended up going with another company that was much more polite and friendly that took the time to talk me through each step without all the high pressure sales tactics.

This company then subcontracted to a dispatch agency that then sent us the worst scum of a technician (: Luei Garage). He gave no quote or estimate for the job, nothing was agreed upon and instead set off tinkering with the opener and within 5 minutes had "fixed" the issue. He then charged us $350. After going back and forth he then said the charge was $200. At this point we just wanted this scammer off of our property. Careful who you allow onto your premises. Ken Davidson seems to just be the shell housing unvetted and unethical "technicians".
