As it sometimes happens an error occurred in one of the new motors. All Star Garage Door immediately responded to our needs. Justin arrived precisely on time as scheduled. He was professional, and personable and, most importantly, knowledgeable, insightful and skillful . Justin immediately diagnosed and corrected the issues. He then thoroughly checked the faulty system as well as the associated purchased operating system. Additionally, he assisted us with resetting the controls including those on myQ on our cell phones. At the time, our granddaughters, who are heading to San Diego for the National District Softball Championships, had a lemonade stand set in the driveway to help earn money to defray some of their costs. Prior to leaving Justin returned to the children's stand and made a generous contribution. I guess one can say: " a Champion helping Champions All Stars!" When the garage door closed, it made a very odd clanking and rattling noise as it slammed shut. It turns out one of the springs snapped from repetitive use and general wear and tear. The problem now is that the garage door will not open or close without some major assistance from yours truly. Lol. So I sought out a garage repair man who could make it out at the earliest timeslot. Guy at Urban Garage Door was actually my first call at Urban Garage Door Repair Services. He asked some very specific questions regarding the garage door, made a quick assessment over the phone, and scheduled me for the next day early in the morning at 7:30 AM--on a Sunday. Crazy how fast he was able to make it out, and I was very appreciative of that. He arrived exactly on time, with a text message 30 minutes prior to let me know he was on his way. This is very professional and appreciated, because who doesn't want an update--especially on an early Sunday morning while you're making breakfast for the kids? He got here, was very professional, made a quick physical assessment of the situation, and gave me a finalized estimate in person. The estimate he gave me on the phone was very accurate and matched very closely with the in-person assessment. He made quick work of the situation and took care of the broken springs in no time. He also let me watch and explained the process to me as he was repairing the garage door. This was simply awesome. Now, I'm not going to go ahead and repair a garage door myself, but it was nice to have a clear and concise explanation of what he was doing and his rationale. It was quite enlightening and educational at the same time. YouTube, here I come--maybe with a bit fewer fingers. Lol. This review is getting quite a bit long-winded, but I was extremely satisfied with the service and will be using him in the future for my garage door-related needs. He was courteous, on time, and very upfront regarding the cost of the repair. Would I recommend? Absolutely yes. No reason to shop elsewhere.

Our garage door was broken so we called them out. We told them we could only be home until 4pm and they gave us the window of 2-4pm. We made sure we were home during that time. Unfortunately, it was for no reason because nobody showed up or called. We called them and they said they would come tight then and only take a minute to give an estimate for the work. Well no estimate was provided and they just started the work without any communication. When I heard drilling I asked if they were going to provide an estimate or what? And the workers said, ya, it's almost done, it's $450. No approval, no paperwork, nothing. I was late to my appointment and they said we could leave them locked in the garage, but as we were going to leave they kept having to go through the house to get things from their truck. I didn't want to leave them locked in the hot garage but we really had to leave. The whole situation was so incredibly frustrating. Then the office girl called me to collect payment and made it 100 times worse. I was trying to explain to her that the process was really stressful and she said, "ok so then I'll just have them go back and undo everything they did" .... Are you serious? What kind of customer service is that? What a terrible representation for their business. Had she said, "I understand how that was frustrating. We should have come when we said we were/communicated/provided an estimate/explained what we were even doing/honestly anything? It would have been different. Things happen, I get that, but have accountability and communication. It's very very basic customer service. We paid, we're done with them, but we will never use this company again.
