I used to be a big fan of this place, but since covid, they never reopened their inside seating area. It used to be a great place to get work done, have a meeting, or simply shoot the breeze with friends, but now they only have the drive thru open. I am not a fan of that. It's unfortunate because they do offer pretty good coffee and breakfast items. Hopefully, they will open up the inside soon. read more

I went here on accident after some mural painting with a friend and it was so good! I got birria sliders and a lavender pollen latte with soy and it was delicious. I ended up stopping by again on a road trip to Arizona (I forgot what drink I got but I got the ham and cheese croissant for food) and the service and food was just as great the second time. I'm very picky about coffee (not a fan of Dunkin' Starbucks etc) and this place truely has very good coffee. :-) read more

Stopped by this cute spot with my mom and we LOVED our drinks. I honestly can't remember the names but mine was a favorite! Def loved the peanut butter creamy flavor mine had. The young lady at the window was super sweet and let us know that the customer I let go ahead of me (in drive thru) paid for our order. So I didn't get the full experience YET! I went to purchase two Breakfast Jack Bagel Sammy's with Steak as the protein and I keep eating and eating it but there's no steak. I look & the steak piece is so small for this being a $15.00 sandwich. This is ridiculous. I tried to call to inform them that I barely got what I paid for. I've added photos to show how there is practically no steak & it was the smallest piece I've ever seen in the whole sandwich and the only piece. Note: I called twice to inform them and request a refund and they just say the address of the café & then it says "Goodbye" & closes the call in your face, so you cannot even talk to them regarding situations like this. I hadn't been back to this coffee shop since the remodel. They did an amazing job remodeling it, looks great and it's very spacious, they have plenty of seating areas from communal tables, to the bar area, more private small tables, a very welcoming living room area with a couch and also outside seating. The parking lot is a bit small and it gets busy especially on weekend mornings with the drive thru service. There's also a merch area. They have an extensive menu including breakfast and lunch items, pastries ,coffees, teas, smoothies and shakes. I wanted to try it all but I ended up ordering their breakfast jack bagel Sammy, garlic bread with tomato sauce, cubanito sandwich, a strawberry banana smoothie dairy free, an almond croissant and a delicious blended moonlight magic latte. Woooow!! This place is worth the hype. At first I was annoyed because I couldn't find parking and there were so many cars in the drive thru, but now I understand why. The people that work here are friendly. The classic breakfast sandwich (with ham) is beyond delicious. It's simple but good. Also the coffee! Wow! I got the red velvet mocha. This has quickly become one of my new favorite coffee shops! I've been a few times now, and I've always enjoyed my drinks. The menu offers such a great variety, from juices and smoothies to, of course, coffee and lattes. They even have breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Recently, I tried the Dirty Harry Latte, and OMG--it was amazing! It's definitely my new favorite latte and current obsession; I even had it twice this weekend! Highly recommend giving it a try. I did substitute oat milk, and while I'm not sure if it's listed on the menu, there's a $1 charge for milk alternatives. I'm giving Gladly 4 stars instead of 5 because, while I've always been happy with my drinks and love the variety on the menu, the two food items I tried recently didn't quite meet my expectations. I had the Mr. Avo-Tom sandwich, which was a bit messy (the avocado was all over), and for the price, I think the egg portion could be a little bigger or there could be an option to add protein at a more reasonable cost. The Cobbler Oats were good but lacked some flavor. There are so many great options on the menu, so I'll definitely try other items, but that's just my honest take on those two. Overall, I'd still highly recommend Gladly Coffee! It's a fantastic addition to Spring Valley, and the customer service is always top-notch. I've been wanting to try this place for so long and I finally got to try it today and man have I been missing out!!!! This is most likely my favorite coffee shop in San Diego just because it has everything not only great coffee, but great food and also drive-thru, which is a pretty hard combination to find. Walked in and automatically loved the vibe inside plenty of seating and parking. The staff are pretty friendly and patient. We had a huge order. We wanted to try everything and they were really helpful. The food and coffee came out perfect and honestly quicker than expected. Everything we tried was so good. We can't wait to come back again. Will definitely be coming here more often. It is so worth the drive to east county I just wish there were more locations all over SD! read more

It's been a while since I've been here only to realize that they had new drinks to try out!!!! The barista recommended the *Lemon Poppyseed Latte. (Citrus, Buttery Lemon and Vanilla Flavors with Milk, and Espresso ) I ordered it iced with oat milk. I couldn't make up my mind so I also ordered the Peanut Butter Chai ( Salty Peanut Butter Flavors Blended with Spiced Chai) Iced, with oat milk to drink for later. My hubby ordered the Peanut Butter Latte Cold Brew hot (Salty Peanut Butter Flavors Blended with cold brew Coffee ) Also ordered the Bacon Breakfast Jack Bagel Sammy (Crispy Bacon, Turkey, Melted Pepper Jack Cheese, Garlic, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, on an Everything Bagel) So I REALLY liked and enjoyed the recommended Lemon Poppyseed Latte. It tastes creamy and unique. I enjoy the lemon notes as you can actually taste the flavors! I would definitely order that drink again!! As far as the peanut butter chai.. it was ok. The chai got lost in the flavors because the peanut butter is overpowering so it was like drinking a peanut butter sandwich. The peanut butter cold brew is good. It It has a unique flavor. So this was a little adventure while killing time in this area. This is a fully drive through experience so don't park. There is a QR code for the menu, but if you keep going there is a full menu board near the order point. The food comes up pretty quickly as they have a team working to get the foods and drinks going. The chai latte was amazing, but my gf wasn't the biggest fan of the Kyoto Cold Brew. As for the food my gf loved her turkey pesto sandwich, while my toast good have used a bit more salt or seasoning. Awesome coffee shop in a unique setting! Excellent selection of drinks, will definitely hit that coffee craving! This shop has been under renovations for quite some time, but their popularity was obvious from the constant line of drive thru cars. I was really excited to finally make it inside. It's pretty clear they took this over from a bank previously and they made the space their own for sure. I'm looking forward to taking some time to relax in there. The coffee selection was pretty nice, you've got everything you'd expect and few more fanciful drinks. I'm not big on sugary drinks but would explore some next time. For the food I'd give a solid 5 stars, the coffee is a 2-5 depending on the day & the staff. Unfortunately I'd have to round this out to a 3 because it seems every time I come the quality of the drinks are not consistent. 1 day I can come and have an amazing cookie butter iced latte, so good in fact I come back the very next morning to order it again only to get a latte that is watery on the top and so thick on the bottom it was like cookie sludge. It's upsetting to come here and feel as if I'm taking a gamble with my daily caffeine fix never knowing if I'm going to get a good drink or not and which such a shop and drive through it's a hassle to try and return the drink. I've tried hot lattes, iced lattes, and the cold brew and although their coffee has a good flavor the inconsistency with the drink making process is a real problem. Now the breakfast sandwiches on the other hand? Absolutely 5 stars! I've tried pretty much all of them with the protein option and they're amazing! Ive never dined inside and this is specifically for the drive through. Service is always on point and quick. I want to gate keep this place but I think it deserves recognition. Everything I come to SD, this is on my list of places to go to for breakfast. I've had their king kong frozen drink which was pretty good - peanut butter forward. Most recently tried their strawberry banana ice cream smoothie. Not too overly sweet and very mild. One very small negative - found a big chunk of strawberries which was frozen and it was pretty sour. You can't get them all so its not that big of a deal. The one thing I really come in for is specifically a breakfast sandwich - spicy jack. I don't normally eat turkey sandwiches but this is a banger of a sandwich. Slight kick and tasty with the negatives - oily and messy but worth it. Bacon and the bagel give it a good crunch. It's a must try if you're into spicy sandwiches. read more

Honestly, I use to love this place. The food is pretty good for a cafe and the coffee is consistent. I believe the downfall of this business is going to be their customer service. I understand that they're busy but as someone who also works in a customer facing environment I wouldn't communicate to customers in this manner. Most of the time when I order I get met with sighs and attitude and feel as though as me being there and ordering is an inconvenience to them. It is an awful feeling to have especially with how expensive it is to eat out. My order normally costs a little more than an hours worth of my wage, and with this I'd rather spend my money on a place where I feel welcomed as a customer. Now by no means do I expect them to have Dutch bros or chic fil a level of customer service, but I do expect to at least not be met with an attitude and sighs over the microphone. I don't want this review to come off as an insult to the business but hopefully as a sign where there can be some improvements. read more
