This is long overdue. I made my first visit here 2 months ago and I wanted to leave a review because I had a fabulous outcome. I typically find a hair colorist that I like and stick with that person for years! Having moved from Sherman Oaks to Pasadena I knew I had to find someone closer; when a friend told me about Carmen's work, I knew I had to make a first visit! First off, my hair is very long, and my roots are dark and I wanted to go for the white platinum. Most places take gradual visits to achieve the ultimate result; however I have been maintaining my blonde or ombré blonde hair for years now and have requested a white platinum only to find out it was not achievable due to fear of breakage (even with years of gradual lightening to blonde). When I visited Carmen, she listened to me and was very kind and professional. She explained the entire process thoroughly and answered all my questions! When I requested the white blonde and she agreed she could achieve it, I was thrilled and slightly surprised that someone can actually do that do to my hair! Finally, when I left I was amazed that she was not kidding and it turned out beautiful! Now I can finally say I have someone near that I enjoy visiting whom will achieve the results I dreamt of. This salon is a little hole in the wall place that is located in front of some apartments and very small businesses. It looks small from the outside and doesn't really stand out but their service truly does STAND OUT! The salon is always clean and their prices are fair; they are not over priced at all. Carmen, the owner and stylist, is always kind and friendly. I have seen her do great work on other clients while I have been there. Roxy is my stylist and I cannot say enough good things about her. At any other salon they would've told me that the light color I wanted was impossible or would've charged me some ridiculous price. I went to her originally to have her do my clip in extensions and hair style a year ago . On Monday I made an appointment with her to have her remove my itip hair extensions which caused me horror for my hair . I called numerous places to have them removed and everyone was worried to do the job . I called Roxy and she gladly had me come in and took hours of her day to rescue my hair .
