Do not come here. I've never felt the need to write a negative Yelp review before, but this experience was horrible. First of all, the salon was extremely dirty. The barbicide looked like it hadn't been changed in ages, and there were dust and toenail clippings all over the floor. It did not feel like a clean or safe environment. I came in asking to have my Gel-X nails removed, and the woman immediately began arguing with me, insisting they were acrylic. I repeatedly told her I only get Gel-X, but she continued to argue instead of listening. It was clear she had no idea how to properly remove them. She kept painfully prying at my nails, even though I told her multiple times that it hurt. To make matters worse, she began lecturing me about how I should never get Gel-X nails, which felt unnecessary and unprofessional. Despite the terrible experience, I still tipped her -- and she snatched the cash from my hand without a single word. There's still product left on my nails, and I honestly regret ever walking into this place. I will never be coming back. read more

Don't judge me for getting a pedi lol I'm totally cool with clipping my own finger nails but I'm not a big fan of feet which is why I don't like clipping my own toe nails. I was in introduced to Paulas Happy Nails a few years back and I have been coming here ever since. In all honesty there have been a few times were I have tried other places when I didn't schedule an appointment in advance and no one compares or comes close to this spot. Appointment: Make sure you call and schedule in advance, they are so good that they are extremely busy but if you call a week in advance and schedule an appointment you will be Golden. Price: So I can't speak on prices on all the services they offer but I can only imagine that they are reasonable and competitive with other. I only go in for a pedi and I feel like they charge a resealable price. Covid: They still require everyone to wear a mask and they keep everyone at a social distance, they themselves wear a mask as well. Location: On the Conor of Lower Azusa and Peck Rd. You will find a large plaza with a gas station on the corner and a large Green Farm Market store and tuck on the side you will find a few other small stores with Paul's Happy Nails right in the center. Don't waste your time and money coming here!!!!!! My nails were nothing like the picture I showed them. she didn't cut or pushed back my cuticles. The same lady that told me it was going to be 52 charged me 60 bucks and when I told her you told me 52 she gave me a 2 dollar discount and I ended up paying 58. Horrible! Called ahead and asked if they do dipped manicures they said yes and I came in a family member I'm extremely close with been going for years so I decided To try it today to spend time with her I much rather go across the street to candy nails! But anyways the first I don't think they know what they are doing was they had me put both my hands in acetone to remove the dip powder I already had, then she tells me she's going to use power and then put gel on top of it at the end my hands were covered in my old nail color I didn't get what I wanted a dipped manicure and was a complete messy job. So unhappy I had to come back and show them, got nothing out the owner still just sat there cause he had already gotten my money, will never go here again! I came here with my boyfriend to get pedicures. First red flag was this place seemed dirty, there were toenail clippings and stuff on the floor... second red flag was when she pulled out the implements, she pulled them out of a case labeled "soiled".... I got a French tip which came out pretty nice, but when she was doing my cuticles she cut the sides and now I can feel i have two ingrown toenails on both of my toes... Ive been coming to this this place on and off for 10 years and it has definitely gone downhill. The facility itself is fine, but the nail techs suck. There are still good manicurist like Diana, Sandy and Ken. But all of the newer people are awful! I've given one woman 3 chances now and it get worse each time. Uneven, chunky gel manicures, polish on my skin, clipping my cuticles so far back they bled for an hour afterwards. This place is amazing for the price if you get the RIGHT manicurist. This is my current to-go-place for nails! Especially when you're a student and low on $$$! (Might try the other location!) My first time here was a week ago. Boyfriend called around 7:40 to see if they were still open, as we we're about 15 minutes away. They we're completely fine with me coming in so near closing so we speedy Gonzales'd it! Upon on arrival, I told the women whom was closest to me that I wanted Gel nails. She said No problem and to have a seat. I waited about 15ish minutes till I got helped by the same women whom greeted me. After I sat down she handed me all the colors they had for gel nails. Now, it will be an understatement if I said I was overwhelmed by how many colors they had; because I was. They had SO MANY, COUNTLESS (probably) of colors to choose from! From nudes to pastels to glitter! LOVE LOVE! I settled with a gentle glitter red. Almost Christmas. The lady who did my gels took her time. She even WARMED UP the lotion for me!!! Without me requesting it! I felt so relaxed and warm. She was so sweet after I accident scrapped Polish off from one of my nails, causing her to re-fix it again. But she laughed it off and said it was totally okay! Left the salon around 8:40? So about an hour of service! ($18 for gels!) The following day, two of my nails had chipped!! I quickly went back when I got off school. Kim was there to remove the gel Polish because the women who did my gels the day before hasn't came in for work yet. I didn't approve of how they wrap your nails in cotton balls soaked in acetone to remove the gel polish. The same lady who did my gels (just arrived to work 10 mins later) was so shocked I was back and showed her my chipped nails. She quickly scooted Kim away and got into work to fixing them!! After they were fixed, she said NO CHARGE!! I went back with the mind of paying again, which I had No problem with. But she was so sweet!! Her name is DIANA!!! I highly recommend her! A week later my boyfriend needed a manicure. Kim serviced him but she didn't do a good job. Maybe she was tired because it was a Saturday, but our next visit for Gels and Mani will be only with Diana! Maybe Paula herself but our #1 nail tech is Diana. (: read more

This place is awful! Quality sucks I live literally a mile away, and every time I call they say there's no wait, and once I get there is a 30-40 minute wait. The last time after being lied to 5 times I was upset and told them, "be honest with the wait time, I live so close by, I don't mind waiting at home so I don't have to wait here" The last couple pedicures I did chipped. And the acrylic full set I did was awful! My nail started cracking, I took it to another place to get corrected and the lady told me "Paula's nails did a bad job, and it was too thick" Never will I come back here again, sure prices are cheap. I had gone with my mother to this nail salon because she wanted to get her eyebrows waxed. As the lady was doing her eyebrows, she began to address my mother's weight. She went on to say that she should go to LA Fitness and exercise more. Then she said, "I am only telling you this because I love you." Mentioning someone's weight is a rude remark to make and is not professional at all. On top of this, my mother's eyebrows did not even come out that good. I got my nails done acrylics a week ago and there already about to come off. acrylics are supposed to last 2 weeks and up and every time I have gotten mine done they last me about a month and this time didn't even last me two weeks. the lady who did mine is tall and she is new I have never seen her there I don't know her name and she did them sloppy. she tried to force me to get powder instead of nail polish even when I said no. I called them and told them how my nails are about to come off and I got them done last week on Friday and they said to come in so when I did they tell me a bunch of different things that it's not them it's my nail and expect me to pay 15 dollars so all the lady did was file the bottom which took 2 minutes and told me it was 15 to change the color when I said that wasn't the problem the problem was my nails are literally about to pop off so she filed them a little and then I left. I'm never going there again ! they don't care. and I have been there multiple times and this has never happened. read more

My mani-pedi was super quick but I've had better. The pedicure was painful and the polish was too thick and messy. To be fair to the technician, the polish they use at this place is cheap and it could have been the bottle that made it thick. My manicure was rushed (probably because other people were waiting) and also messy. I do appreciate quick service but I probably won't be back. When I can paint my own nails better than the technicians, that's a sign that it's not worth paying for. The place also has a dirty feel to it. I almost walked out when I saw the carpet. You could see all sorts of nail clippings everywhere. They should really consider updating the place. read more
