NOTHING glamour about this place Terrible. I don't think we ever experienced anything like this before and we have been to hundreds of nail spots all over the world. The lady was super rude. She criticized the quality of the nail polish I brought (which was a clean brand without toxins) and I should just use OPI ! There was absolutely no need for this recommendation, I am fully aware of the OPI brand as I often do my nails. But it was not the suggestion that bothered me, it was the criticism of MiNE. But let's be real ! My nail polish is better than OPI because it had less toxins and that is what is best for ME ! I think I know what my body prefers! She then criticized my nails saying they were breaking (insane.. plus i do my nails every two weeks)! And yes there was one broken one but who cares?!! Why say this to a client?! Every time i go to caring spots, they help me fix them if broken and THAT is the point of getting your nails done! People do not just go when they have perfect nail! Then she asked where I was from and i told her American and she started teaching me that people in this country come from everywhere (as if I didn't know that because i myself originated from another country). I am having a hard time staying here. I have tried so many girls here and after a few times, they are too thick, or filed so they are left bumpy. I was a manicurist decades ago and I am really picky. I want a smooth natural curve, nails that don't chip or break and are shaped right. That is most important and they just can't stay consistent. The pedicures are fine. I loved rose even though she spaces out as she rubs your legs,. She will stare off into space and stop, then start. I am looking for a new spot. For now, I am doing myself. I have been coming to the salon for years. The manicurist who does my nails is incredibly good, and very pleasant. The physical aspect of the salon has never been great but it has been worth it because the manicurist is so good. However, the salon has recently been sold. I have been there several times since and i will not likely return. The many large television screens on the walls are now tuned to streaming ad sites. Prices increased $10-15 per service. Most disturbing is the music which is now loud hip hop. I imagine the new owners are trying to cultivate a younger clientele, but they are going to lose the current one ( looks like current average age is probably 45 -50) with these changes, and given the location it is unlikely they will have a steady clientele of teens and twenty-somethings. I wish them luck because the manicurists are very nice people. read more

I'm never received a worse manicure in my life. Came in for a gel manicure and was placed with Cindy. I could physically see her removing the gel polish, but when I look down at my nails my skin has gel all over it. As well as Cindy rushed through me and did not paint the gel on my entire nail. I would've absolutely said something if I didn't feel like they were rushing me through the salon. I will drive five minutes to a much better salon next time. This was the worst service I've ever received from any Nail Salon. I come in here with a friend and we get seated for pedicures next to each other with two nail techs. I ended up having the male nail tech, which was fine until I told him that there's gel polish on my toes. He tells the Nail tech next to him that he's uncomfortable removing gel polish and he ask if he could switch. The nail tech next to him says no and just tell him to proceed anyways. I'm very uncomfortable at that point and I told the nail tech I wanna switch with somebody else. Because he did not know how to remove gel from my toes. Because the Nail Salon staff was irritated that I understood them speaking in Vietnamese and that I requested to switch to a different nail tech that's comfortable doing a gel pedicure . They no longer want to speak to me in Vietnamese, but only spoke to me in English. And then they did not even ask me what pedicure package I wanted. They removed my old gel polish , cut my toenails and cleaned up the cuticles, and painted a French tips. I did not receive any scrub on my legs. So they called this a basic pedicure and charged me $60 . They said a basic pedicure is 54$ and it's an extra six dollars for French tips. Very disappointed in the way that this Nail Salon and the 10 different technicians all in the salon Treated my experience. Worst customer service and professionalism. read more

The worst manicure I've ever gotten. They started by completely cutting my nails off and filing them crooked. I had to ask him to stop cutting them 4 times before someone else came and stepped in and made him get away from me. It looks like a child did them. And then they proceeded to refuse to take my card payment and forced me to Venmo. The place is also disgusting with dirty towels everywhere. Was going to drop my wife off and decided to just come in and just wait with her. She convinced me to get my feet done, so I did. First, they wouldn't let my wife soak her polish off and said they had to use the drill (apparently the drill is super painful for her and she always gets infections when they use it). They had 3 people tell her they would only use the drill. She said they always soak it off at other places without issue and they've even done it here. Then they put me in a broken chair and the water wouldn't circulate, so I was literally sitting in my own filth instead of them moving me to a working chair. They basically rubbed my legs for an hour and never even did the callus treatment which I asked them to do from the very beginning and made sure I pointed it out when I picked the treatment. She told me she already did it which was a lie. I know they didn't do it because the nail person had to get up and go get the pumice stone after she argued with me that the sugar scrub was the callus treatment. For $100/person with tip...not worth it at all. I suggest you go somewhere else. For the location, I suggest they retrain their staff. Huge opportunity missed to be in the heart of the Del Mar town center and have poor service. Now I know why they have all these poor reviews. read more

Went in for a pedicure and overall good job. Massage was good and they removed a lot of callous. Person doing my nails was very nice, whole place is friendly and gave everyone a warm welcome. My only complaint is they took too much cuticle off one of my toes and it bled. Its currently is still really sensitive and needs to heal. Just got the worst manicure of my life. She was rough the whole time and obviously didn't pay attention to detail because I had to keep correcting things she was doing. Then towards the end she cut too deep and made my pointer finger bleed. It was a $35 gel manicure and then I was a charged a .50 convenience fee, which I don't think is legal. I'm not one to post negative reviews but I'm so frustrated and irritated with my nails. I'm probably going to end up going somewhere else this week to have them redo it so that's another $30-40 I have to pay The manager is beyond disrespectful and rude but I called her out to her face. To give it a fair chance, I have now been here three times. All three times I have been cut at least once. Terrible nails each time ago, and they don't listen to what you want. First time she shaped them terrible, half were kind of square and some were like Easter eggs. She also left a huge gap between cuticles and finger nails. This time the gal must have filed and grinded the nails 10 times. Not exaggerating. Can't even tell I have on acrylics. My ring finger actually is longer then the nail. Despite me telling her multiple times they were to short. Not to mention how long it takes. I was easily there for an hour and a half for this terrible job. The paint is okay. While I should have pulled away and asked for the manager, I left without as much as a thank you after paying. I will not be coming back. Looking for a nail salon that provides excellent quality service? Glamour nails is not for you. My wife had a nail dip for $55.00, and within a week it was peeling and chipping. At ten days it was a total mess. Manager/owner Holly told my wife that Glamour Nails does not guarantee any nail procedure will last any amount of time and insisted I pay to have my nails fixed and offered a nominal discount. The dip procedure is supposedly one of the most durable nail processes and deterioration after one week is unacceptable. My perception is Holly's motivation is to make maximum profit. If I could give 0, I would. I am so disappointed. I literally cried on my way home. I have never been so disappointed with my nails before. I went first time here to get my nails done, then the nails were all bumpy and everything so I called them to get it fixed. They fixed it the next day, the design was great I loved it. Then it started to break off on the 3rd day then on the 5th day. I went back to get my nails done again 5 TIMES!! On the last time, tiffany was rushing me, I had an appointment @4:30. I couldn't pick a color because I was pressured to pick a color so I just went with a pink. I understand that she had other appointments too, but I wanted the initial design that I received from the beginning. She said she doesn't do designs and has other appointments. I called them that I was disappointed, but they said they didn't charge me for design and they refilled my whole nails for free. As if I should pay for getting a bad nail that doesn't even last for a WEEK!!!???? I get my nails done at other places and they would last for 4 weeks, I don't do anything excessive either so they shouldn't even be falling off for not even a WEEK!!! I am so disappointed, I will not be coming back. I really wanted to like this place, because it seems so nice. I even gave a tip even though I was so angry. This place is always busy. Owner has about 5 shops, so she knows what's she's doing. The massage chairs are good and the place is clean. Lots of color options for gel. Prices are typical for the area. My total was $64 total for taking off my acrylic, and doing regular pedi and gel mani. They offer you bottled water and/or soda I believe. I didn't give more stars because the woman who did my pedicure could have done a more thorough job cleaning up the skin around my toes and was too light with her touch on the foot massage. Save yourself a lot of time and money and skip this place. I went yesterday to get a gel manicure and spa pedicure before a wedding. The lady doing my pedicure sped through it, spending no longer than 10 minutes. No massage, nothing. When the polish dried, it was clumpy and looked awful. I have never asked to get my nails redone and this was the first time I ever did. For $33 dollars for a spa pedicure, I expect at least the product to look good. The man doing my gel manicure was nice but it's messy. Some nails have less polish, there's polish on my skin, and it looks like a job I could've done myself. Absolutely horrible experience. The tech who did my manicure was rough and most unprofessional I've ever encountered. She did a terrible nail job, was rude to my the entire time, made me bleed and was condescending when I asked her to treat the cut before she proceeds with the rest of the manicure. She put on cuticle remover on my cut and said "this will stop it" I said what is it that you're using? she said "you don't know it's for salon use" I said I need and alcohol pad to treat it, I'm prone to infection. She says "infection doesn't happen". I said I have seen patients with infection happening just like this and she said " no, no infection happens". I'm a doctor, I should know how infection happens! But she ignored me. She didn't provide me with that small alcohol pad I asked for and proceeded with doing my nails in that rough manner. The worst part was how the owner was right there and didn't react to how upset I was at all. She didn't ask how things were or try to make anything better, even though she witnessed the whole thing. Had she approached me or let me explain to her what has happened, I wouldn't leave this review as mishaps and not-very-good techs exist everywhere. But with that management, I had to write this so everyone knows if they encounter a bad tech, they will be ignored and there is nothing anyone would do for them there. It was my best friends birthday... and we needed to get our nails done before the party. The place I usually go to is on Mira Mesa blvd and they are truly amazing and they do a great job and the nail techs really care. I called to make an appointment and we couldn't get in because they were booked. So we made an appointment here. When I tell you the tech who did my nails didn't care about how my nails looked or doing a good job. I mean it. I went for a fill. And my acrylics are very long, And this is what happened. She filed my nails down at the bottoms throughout the nail and literally didn't put any acrylic on top! And painted over it! I was on my phone and distracted. And just truly did not have time to get them taken off and re done. Like unbelievable. And I felt like she really just didn't care about doing a good job for me and just wanted to hurry my service up. I know my nails are long. I normally tip 20$ no matter what. But seriously... this was the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I'm very disappointed. My nails are uneven. And she didn't shape them. Like they are just as dull as they were when I walked in. As I way paying she had this shady vibe she was giving off like she was guilty...
