I keep telling myself it will get better, but it doesn't! It's repeat after repeat. I used Glamour Paws several years ago with a groomer named Leslie, she was awesome. I have taken my new Miniature Schnauzer 3 times now and I've had to take my dog back 3 times now! They offer the express service which they should take off their menu. You get your dog back within an hour, hour and a half and it looks like a quick 20-minute session when I get my dog back from bath to handing him over. It's always something! A fast assembly line, poor listening skills, wrong size gauge comb and doing half of the expected expertise that they advertise and should as a service rendered! You pay for the express, you tip them for their efforts, nails barely touched, or cleaning the ears hardly touched and wrong clipper size used, uneven here and there! The express is $15 extra. I have no issue with that. However, I do have an issue with $86 and change before the tip and never done correctly! My suggestion to the owner is take off the express as you do not have the staff or the facilities to get done what we are paying for. Or space out your appointments and do it correctly the first time! I wish you success but unfortunately for me I have to go dog groomer shopping. I will not suggest you not take your pet there but let me quote Forrest Gump, "this place is like a box of chocolates you never know what you're going to get." Lastly, would you kindly refund my tip? In fact you could refund the whole visit today as I feel I've earned it, gas, time, and frustration. I know my schnauzer definitely has!!! Below is a picture of today's visit. an incredible place. my dog chewie is real skittish but they took great care of him. we got him an appointment early on halloween and they got him done within six hours-super fast! the people are real friendly and helpful as well. it was 75$ for a full groom&nail drummel for my yorkiepoo, which is a great price. they have lots of free samples and pet supplies that are high quality, as well as new collars and clothes for your dog or cat! if you go to a groomer in the dfw area, make it this one. my chewie is a glamour paws boy now! read more

We chose Glamour Paws from a recommendation of one of our neighbors. Dolly is a rescue Basset Hound puppy, and this was her first grooming adventure since we adopted her about two months ago. She just needed the standard bath and associated services -- express anal glands, clean ears, trim nails, and a pet on the head. When we arrived about 10:00, we were greeted by two girls, one which was not very friendly. She just took Dolly's leash and said they should be through in three to four hours. Fast forward to 3:00 (over four hours later). Since I had heard nothing, I called them to inquire as to Dolly's progress. She put me on "ignore" for almost 4 minutes ( I have a timer on my phone to stare at when things like this happen). Finally someone else picked up and said "can I help you ma'am?" Again I had to present my inquiry and was told she was not ready and it might be 4:00 before I could pick her up. I said okay, just call me back when she is ready. Seriously, in less than 5 minutes, they called and said to come pick her up. The staff seemed totally confused at the work flow process. After fighting late afternoon traffic, I arrived and entered. Yet another young girl was at the counter, probably not out of high school. No smile, no "hello, can I help you?, no nothing. I said I was there to pick up Dolly and she went to the back and returned in a couple of minutes with the dog. Still no smile or emotional response what-so-ever. I paid with my credit card and left. No "thank you, come back soon," no nothing! The grooming job was actually acceptable, but I'll bet I passed five other groomers to go across town to this place and be treated like I was picking up nothing more than a part for my car. Next time, Dolly will be going to a more friendly groomer with a staff that actually LIKES animals, or at least, can act that way. read more

Don't take your cat to be groomed here. Their prices are ridiculous. You don't always get what you pay for.. They don't have prices on their website for cats so I will inform everyone of what they are (they are the same as a 100 pound dog). 1. $65 for a bath. 2. $60 for a haircut. 3. $10 if your cat has long hair. 4. $10 sanitary cut. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! We've used them for a few years now, a while back they cut our dog.... they assured us it was an accident and sent him home with stuff to put on the cut. We started using the groomer at VCA, never had so much as even a knick on him. This time we couldn't get him in at VCA, so we thought we'd try Glamour Paws again. Obviously we made a huge mistake, they cut him badly enough that he had to be taken to the local animal hospital to get stitches! Instead of calling us when it happened they took it upon themselves to take them where they wanted & did not communicate with us until AFTER they had taken him there! It was my dog's first time going to this particular groomer due to us recently relocating to Fort Worth. I dropped my puppy off at 8:45a and told them he would be picked up at 1:00pm. I received a phone call around 9:15a stating that he was matt free, so I assumed they had already started with the grooming process. 1:00 pm comes and I am informed that he has not been finished, in fact, they JUST placed him on the table to begin. It should not take 4 plus hours to groom a dog. As a business owner, I always make sure to prioritize orders, so that the customer's time is not being wasted and their money is being valued. I had to speak to the owner and was told they were running behind due to having to groom other dogs. This means that other dogs came and went while my dog was waiting for hours. This is very unprofessional! This cut was well over $100. So i'm expecting great customer service. Please figure out a timely way to get dogs in and out without wasting people's time. read more

Great grooming spot! My pup is an 11 year-old, 3.5 pound yorkie and comes with a list of health issues. Our groomer, Cindy, came out to talk about his specifics. I even typed her up a list: no chicken-flavored toothpaste because of his IBS and to be extra gentle with his left leg as it was broken a year ago. She was extremely reassuring and friendly! 90 minutes later, my pup was ready to go. I paid $60 for the small dog groom + $20 for the express time. My pup was super clean and smelled great. The first time I came here the groomer cut my dog's paw between his pads and didn't tell me about it. I found out later because he was licking his paw. While I was there, I negotiated a price with the front desk for my next visit. I told them what I was paying at my old groomer and that to keep me as a customer (after the initial visit coupon), I wouldn't pay more than $50 from now on. The girl at the front desk spoke to the manager and got approval on the price. The next time I came in they tried to charge me $60 and the owner said that she has no recollection of agreeing to the price last time and there were no notes made on my account. We're relatively new to Texas and so making sure our dog and cats had some continuity of care with their vet and their groomer was of the utmost importance. We all know what pets do when they're stressed out and that was more than I could've handled in a new house! I seriously don't know what I would have done if we hadn't been referred to Glamour Paws. Not only do our pets look amazing, they're so relaxed and happy when they come home -- so they obviously haven't been traumatized by the change! Terrible. Not only were both of my dogs' haircuts so uneven and rushed, but they took all day to do it. They were brought in before 9am and we were told they would be done by 2. We call at 2 and they tell us that they will be done by 4 or 4:30. We call at 4:30 and they tell us they need another hour. Then we get a phone call a few minutes later saying they are JUST now starting on our golden retriever, and the front desk person had written for him to be shaved. Thankfully the groomer called to double check because these were the instructions for our OTHER dog. When we picked them up, they acted like they were dying of thirst, and my small dog drank water for at least 2 minutes straight when he got home. They are clearly neglected all day. The staff also never knows if our dogs came in with leashes or collars and have to ask and spend time looking around. This happens every time. As a side note: I've never been to a groomer that doesn't put bandanas on your dog, but this place doesn't, yet charges $130 per dog. I do not recommend using Glamour Paws. read more

We didn't have a good experience at Glamour Paws. I dropped the dog off after reviewing what I wanted done during the service. He received a great bath, and his coat looked great. However, the cut was HORRIBLE. In addition, the bath/cut was $45 more than quoted over the phone. I brought him back the next week to show the owner. While she tried to fix the cut, it didn't make a difference. In addition, she really didn't care that we had such a bad situation. I would recommend going elsewhere to groom your dog. read more

I took my dog in for a summer trim and asked specifically for a summer trim. My dog is only a year old and this was his first grooming ever and since he had been very sick in the past I opted for the "express groom" just for my own peace of mind. When the lady at the front desk described the "summer cut" I specifically described that I did not want that and just wanted a small trim. I expected them to be able to groom my dog like an aussie and not just a complete shave. When I came to pick up my Australian Shepard, he was completely shaved. I was VERY upset and expressed how upset I was over the phone to the lady at the front desk who I spoke with initially, the groomer, and the owner for the mistake and the fact that I paid over 80$ for them to shave my dog. I was told that I would have a credit for the total shaving of my dog but due to lack of organization, this credit was not recorded nor was the review of my experience. Thankfully all my coworkers can recall when this credit was given because it was on speaker at the office when I was upset. When I spoke to the groomer she expressed how this was also not the first time this happened and a man earlier in the week was upset when his Aussie was also shaved. I was told that I would get a credit but I was still hesitant to go back because of how upset I was last time. I decided to trim my dog during the fall, winter, and spring and now that its summertime it was a little bit more grooming than I could take on. When I asked to make an appointment and use my credit, the owner said she would not honor my credit because it was a "year later" when it was not infact a year. I will not be going back and I would not recommend this groomer either. read more
