I came here to have four window screen replaced. When we first walked in the guy working was not welcoming and seemed to have an attitude. The shop was nice with various options for windows, shower doors, and more. It was clean, organized and not busy at all. We left our old window screens to be replaced and were told it would take about four days but he would call us if they were done sooner. About three days later we received a call that the screens were ready for us to pick up. Picking up the screens was fast because we had paid in advance. When we got home and tried to fit the screens back into the windows we discovered that they were too large. We then had to make another trip to this shop with the same unwelcoming employee to have the adjustments made. Another three days and we finally got the screens and this time they fit into the windows. If I need to replace the screens again I will search for another shop. read more

We shopped around but their prices were very competitive relevant to quality and brand of windows. They placed the orders, windows got delivered with a team of 4 huge men. They installed all brand new windows in our entire house. The house looks at least 15 years younger now. Just amazing. The team spent from 8 am till 7 pm completing the task (4bdr, 20 windows and doors and screens). Personal note: If you choose to do this, know that there will be noise and some dust. " Nicolas Rodriguez Was Awesome ! " We live on the Singing Hills Golf Course and over look the 10th green. We have lived here for 19 years and never had any problems with golf balls. He set up an appointment for Nicolas Rodriguez to come out to measure my window for repair. Nicolas was very professional and nice as he measured our window and sent the measurements back to the factory to have a new window made for us. A few days later Nicolas Rodriguez returned to our house with Ivan Gonzales to install my new double pain window. Both employees from Glass & Screens were so careful to remove the old broken window and shattered glass before they installed our new window, and made sure they cleaned the window and everything around it also. Fast, affordable, and reliable service! I've known about this hidden gem for years. We've gotten windows there, screen doors, glass sliding doors, and other window-type things for various home improvement projects over the years. If you go to Home Depot or Lowes, you sometimes get shitty service, and those guys don't know what they're doing. I went to Glass and Screens today to get a new screen put in for a window I had done with them. Originally I had thought about going to the more convenient Home Depot, but I instead took the extra 10 minutes to go to Lemon Grove. It was done in 5 minutes and it cost me nothing. Their work is guaranteed and I will keep bringing them my business and not to those big box guys. You could spend about $30 bucks to get the tools to do it yourself and $8 bucks for new screens, but if it takes these guys 5 minutes to replace a screen, why the hell would you spend anymore than $10 bucks? I broke a large plate glass sliding glass door on Friday night. I was worried about how long it would take to fix, because my house was unsecured with the window out. I called glass and screens Saturday morning, and they promised they could do the work Monday, and quoted me a more than fair price. Lots of companies I called for quotes told me it would take 10-14 days to order the glass. Insane. At the promised time, Jason and Nico roll up and fixed our sliding glass door, and took the time to really fine tune how the door rolled- taking it off several times to make adjustments. Horrible customer service. I went in with my contractor to see about a custom glass that I need for a recording studio and after 20mins of not one person acknowledging us decided to just leave. We made eye contact a few times with a smile and the two men in which was working spoke to a person that we thought was another customer the whole time about personal things that had nothing to do with glass. My wife came here last month to order a piece of glass to cover my little sisters headstone. This was the second piece of glass that our family had purchased because we wanted to customize this particular piece to enhance the aesthetic nature of her memorial. My wife asked the owner for the exact piece of glass that we had ordered before, she paid for the glass and was told to return two days later. When it was time to pick up the glass I accompanied my wife because she stated that the owner was a bit rude when she ordered the glass earlier that week. When we arrived at the shop the owner was not present, employees at the shop stated that he was off for the day. I inspected the glass and quickly realized that the custom piece that we had ordered was to small. I asked for a refund and the owners wife said that it was my wife's fault for giving them the wrong measurements. She had the audacity to insult my wife in front of my face in an extremely disrespectful manor. At this point another employee intervened and offered to cover the expenses of the replacement glass. That employee shook my hand, looked me in my eyes and gave me his word that I would be taken care of, all he asked for was that I come back with the correct measurements. I appreciate the gesture of that employee, it appears that he was raised with integrity and respect as part of his core values. Now just two weeks later I return to the shop with the same measurements that I had for the original piece of glass and the measurements that my wife had for the second piece of glass that we had payed for already. Now this is the third time we had to drive to this place for a piece of glass that is worth less than $30 dollars. I greeted the owner a happy new year when I came in and he looked at me like I was talking to a wall, no emotion whatsoever. I told the owner about the agreement that I made with his employee regarding the replacement piece of glass but before I could finish three sentences the owner told me he already knew about my situation and that he would not honor the agreement that was made just two weeks prior. He then proceeded to try to make me believe that my wife gave him the wrong measurements. The fact is that my wife gave him the exact same measurements as we had for the first piece of glass. His attempt to persuade me otherwise was going nowhere. I kindly asked him again to be a man and honor his employees word and handshake, he rudely declined. The owner of this shop is a cold heartless stubborn penny pinching old man who has shown our family zero respect. This review is not about the refund and/or replacement glass at this point, it's about the principle of the matter. The owner of this glass shop has no honor and it is blatantly obvious to anyone with the patience to be in the room with that guy for five minutes. He is a disgrace to his tradecraft, he produces poor quality products. He will make a mistake and pass the blame to the customer instead of taking accountability. Worst of all, he can't even honor a good old fashioned gentlemens handshake. What a disgrace, I will not support his business with my hard earned money anymore. How dare he disrespect my wife and I when we were simply there to buy a piece of glass to protect my little sisters grave stone.
