When I walked in, there was a really strong smell of cleaning products. The donuts even had a hint of that chemical smell in their taste! I'm not sure if it was the packaging or the actual donuts, or that the scent was so strong that it affected the taste of everything. The first time I came here a couple years ago, the donuts were great and fresh, but the last couple times I've been a little disappointed. They have a good selection of flavors and the donuts are more dense and bread-y/cake-y if that's what you prefer but I usually like a lighter, airy donut. Besides the off-putting smell of strong chemicals, the staff here is always really friendly and helpful. I stopped by Glaze Doughnuts on Saturday, January 13, 2024 after swinging by the UPS Store next door. I noticed the "People Love Us on Yelp" sign so I had to stop in. It was around 9:30am and there was no other customers in the shop. It was just me. The staff worker greeted me and asked which donuts I was interested in. I asked which donuts are the most popular. She responded, "Churro, glazed and the sir mocha lot chocolate." I ended up getting the churro and a chocolate covered filled with Bavarian creme (Ngl I wanted to get the glazed and mocha lot but I need to budget and I don't need the extra calories) - But... When I opened my box - to my surprise - they added donut holes and a glazed donut! That literally made my day! I mean, I "donut" need the extra calories, but I cannot tell you how much this makes me absolutely LOVE Glazed Doughnuts - I am someone who loves experiences, especially when it comes to "over delivering" in business. After a string of frustrating delivery experiences, I quietly gave Glaze Donuts three more chances--using my account, one of my employee's, and even my CEO's. I also called Uber Eats support to ask if there was a way to add detailed notes to my orders, and they pointed me to the (very hidden) option. On the first new attempt, I didn't leave any notes--and the order came through correctly, except for a strange omission: the Bavarian cream chocolate donut arrived without chocolate on top. Still delicious, just... weird. But after that? I left a clear, polite note highlighting the issues I'd had before. And to my absolute delight, Glaze crushed it. William helped us and was outstanding but we were very disappointed in the doughnuts which all looked and tasted to be day old. I decided to stop by Glaze for the first time. For a whopping $18 I got 5 "fancy" donuts and 1 classic donut. Got 2 matcha pistachio, 1 lemon poppyseed, 1 peanut butter oreo, 1 churro, and 1 classic cake. The donuts were typical donuts. Nothing like the delicious quality of Blue Star in Portland or our very own Mazzoa. My favorite was the cake donut, which happened to be the cheapest one. The churro piece on the churro donut was stale. Lemon poppyseed and matcha pistachio were mild in flavor. I didn't try the peanut butter oreo. Worth the price? Definitely not. I'd rather go to Mazzoa. Or go to a real bakery and buy a fancy cake. I came 10 minutes before closing. I wonder what they do with all their unsold donuts for the day because there were a lot. read more

Wow! I consider myself somewhat of a doughnut connoisseur. I've had many of the doughnuts in the Valley (many no longer here) and I have to say Glaze is one of my top 3, top 2 of those who remain. Of course what makes a good doughnut is the dough. You can put frosting on a turd, but it's still a turd. The dough at Glaze is delicious; light, slightly airy, and sweet but not too sweet. So a plain doughnut is delicious, now add their in-house maple glaze or any of the number of other options and you've got a great doughnut. The apple Fritters are crispy, sweet, and airy. The apple has a nice cinnamon back and just enough glaze. So the doughnuts are great, but Dominic (the owner) greeted us, engaged us, we had a nice conversation and felt valued as a customer. What a wonderful place, but it's just take out (which was fine with me). A small hole in the wall, with delicious doughnuts. I was excited to go for the kolaches... when you walk in I was immediately slapped in the face with the overly strong smell of cleaning product, similar to Fabuloso. No biggie, the place must be clean. I order four kolaches and four doughnuts and $35 later, I leave. I get to the office and 20 minutes later, I eat my kolache and it tastes like the smell of the cleaning product. I keep taking bites to see if I'm wrong, but half way through I have to throw it out. 30 minutes later I try and eat the donut and hoping it was originally just the lingering smell in my nose... but ew, same chemical taste. I had to throw that into the trash too. So the donuts and kolaches just sit out in the elements, exposed to the strong stench of cleaning products. The food there has become one with the cleaning products...Pretty disappointing. read more

The donut were displayed in a small cake case. It was kinda hard to tell the guy what I wanted.
