Came across Glaze'n'Daze with 92 reviews and 4.5 stars. I get in my car and head off for donuts!!!! It was pretty easy to find in a very unassuming neighborhood and unassuming store front. I was greeted right away. Picked out 7 donuts and a fancy one. All packaged up nice nice. They must change the donuts choices because some of the donuts in the pictures were not avail today which, of course, means I need to start making more frequent trips here. I just happened to have cash on me but you can pay with cards as well. The nice gentleman that helped me also packed up some donut holes. Somehow there were only 3 of those left by the time I got home. Their glaze is delicious. It has a marshmellowy (is that a word? If not, it is now) taste to it that blows any other glazed donut out of the water. Get your butts down to this place but make sure you leave me one or two. read more

I've tasted many donuts in my life and this is worth the stop. I had the Creme Brulee donut and it was freaking good! I think the filling was real egg custard in it. The hard glaze actually had a nice crunch as it would a real brulee. The donut dough was so delicate that I would actually consider this a pastry. It was perfectly done. Glaze 'n Daze is very different from the other gourmet donut shop. The price point is hits it right and the donut sizes are perfect with just enough sugar and spice. I personally like a lighter style donut compared to the heavy giant cakey overly sugarly ones. It's so light, I think I could eat a dozen but I know better and that's why I keep coming. The donuts look pretty and cool but what I got was very dry and difficult to swallow. Somehow, the donut I had thought would be the most difficult to eat (cinnamon toast crunch) was the best and easiest to down. And that one donut was somehow among the top donuts I've ever had. I'm not sure if the others just didn't do well that day or what had happened. The icing is great but I think the donuts themselves should be a bit more moist. The second issue I had was with service. Wow!!! Creme brulee donuts are to die for. This shop is so creative with their flavors and everything looked delicious. I arrived at about 10am aand the place was empty. I was surprised as their reviews are so good and they live up to them. I guess I got lucky. The store is adorable, cozy and warm and the man who waited on me was so nice . I also tried the lemon filled. It was very lemony which was great for me but too much for my friend. Oh well . The coffee roll and the apple fritters are good but nothing that I would rave about. Kind of small and not as tasty as the others. I did not try drinks but I did not see decaf. Hopefully I just missed it. So great service in a lovely environment with several choices of donuts. Definitely will be returning for the lemon filled and the creme brulee. They were amazing. Oh and they did not have any cake donuts which are my favorite. Forgot to ask whether they made them at all. Too many try's, and I have had way too many too count. They are delicious, but so not worth it. Their staff are very pleasant, so it is a shame. We stopped here as a part of the RI food fight competition and boy were we glad we did! This unassuming little shop happens to carry some of the best doughnuts we've had, was super friendly and the staff even offered to make some fresh doughnuts for the flavors that were low! The service was also quick, in addition to being friendly which is always a treat. The doughnuts here are soft, delicious and tasted fresh even when we came by mid morning! The toppings are creative and some of the combinations are almost too good to be true. Overall we loved this place and it's a great special occasions kind of place, or if you're looking to have something really delicious! We unfortunately didn't end up trying the coffee but we certainly do recommend getting some doughnuts, especially if you're already in the area! read more

I've been here a few times to try some coffee and some donuts, I always get a small hot regular and I've tried their classic donut and fruity pebbles donut. The donuts were outstanding, very fluffy and the classic one is particularly light which is cool cuz I don't like cakey donuts personally. Today I am here to say I'm MAD about the coffee I got here, not the classic donut which was actually very good. This lady poured my coffee and microwaved it, I stood there in disbelief. I feel like I'm drinking coffee brewed at the bottom of my toaster with all the burnt crumbs I've piled up over the years. One of the best donut shops in the area, hands down! The traditional, leavened donut is probably the best I've had in a long while. It's not only fluffy, but it LASTS. Most other places produce donuts that petrify by the next day. I had one of these the next day, not having been wrapped, and it was still fluffy! I'm impressed, for sure. This place beats every other doughnut shop in the area, by a wide margin. The doughnuts are incredibly light and soft, unlike the heavy chewy doughnuts at PVD and Knead, with very well-balanced flavors and sweetness unlike Allie's and Krispy Kreme that are too heavy-handed with the sweetness, and not at all greasy like every other doughnut shop. Better than the place I went to as a child that I thought I'd never find an equal to. I don't know how they do it, it's about as close to perfection as I think you can get. If I had to give a con, the only thing I can say is that I find the boston cream filling a bit thick, but it's still good. Since I live around the corner, it was easy to stop and bring a dozen to work for an office meeting. Pretty bummed. I frequent the trendy donut shops in pvd. I was glad to find a shop closer to home... but after this experience, I need to say, you can't just throw cereal on a donut and expect to be the next donut place selling out every day. The places that are selling out, sell out for a reason. I tried two donuts, the creme brulee donut and the classic glazed. None of them blew my socks off, in fact, I didn't even finish the creme brulee donut. They replicate the hard, caramelized shell on top of the donut and it was just too much. I tried to make friendly conversation with the employee working, he really didn't care for it. So whatever. I won't be back, and I won't be surprised if this place isn't here forever either. They are a small family owned (I think) doughnut shop.They sell regular and filled doughnuts, as well as coffees and also have a cooler of flavored milks and juices. I found this place using Yelp on a last minute road trip to NYC. Typically I would stop at Knead in Providence but strangely enough none of the well known doughnut shops in Providence were open at 7 am on a Sunday. Glaze'n Daze Donuts was a great find. They have a large assortment of donuts, croissants, cinnamon buns are also available as well as various flavored coffee. The donuts are made onsite and fresh and yummy. The cinnamon role was light and sweet, the Good time donut was chocolatey with a little crunch and light at the same time. We got a few others that we haven't yet tried Maple Bacon and Strawberry Cheesecake. There were a few others that we may have tried however they were still being prepared and we were unable to wait around so I would suggest going a little later to have s bigger variety to chose from.
