I have had the best experience in this shop ever. The staff are all warm, friendly, caring and efficient. Mark is an excellent leader. The interior is warm and comfortable as are the support staff. My car was fixed ( twice!) by people that I thought really cared about my car and me. They really make you feel special and go the extra mile. I highly recommend this shop to all. I usually bring my car here for work since its Mercury approved so I figured I would call them first after a bicyclist hit my side view mirror and caused it to pop out of place. I was immediately quoted $400+ over the phone without it being looked at even though I had already explained the parts weren't broken and it could easily be popped back in with the proper tools. The guy on the phone went on about it needing to be painted etc even though it was a simple fix. Luckily, I called another place who popped the mirror back and charged me nothing!!! They said it was so easy and when I told them I had been quoted 400, they assured me many places like this try to make extra money when they know it's coming out of your pocket and not through insurance. Will no longer bring my cars here in the future and on a good note, glad I found the new auto body shop I will be going to in and referring friends to in the future :) read more

Mark the owner is really great. He's took over his dad's shop and it's my impression he continued his father's legacy of a fair and honest business. You don't see that around anymore. Sure in the 50's you did. But nowadays? You'd be hard pressed to find it. He makes sure you're happy and doesn't cut corners to maximixe on his profit. He makes sure the job is done right and takes pride in his workmanship. One of his lead guys he had was slacking so he had to let him go so I expect his shop will be even better now and hopes that he will hire someone who pays better attention to detail. They have a partnership with Hertz Local Edition which provides a generally better fleet than Enterprise so if you're on an insurance claim you can get a better car. Plus it's closer than the Enterprises in the area. Mark is proud that he used the top of the line BASF paint on all his jobs and makes sure to go above and beyond like everyone has stated. I trust him and he makes sure the job is done right. There's no shady feeling with him here. Sometimes he grins a little big because he doesn't want to say what he's really feeling, but that's not really a fault as I would rather have that then the opposite which would be someone being really nasty to you. I've had that before and it was like pulling teeth for them to fix an error. Mark owns up to errors (if any, and I would think rarely) happen. You can tell the office teases each other a lot and I'm sure they've had a few inside jokes spoken on my expense, so at least they're a close group. An honest man. I truly believe good things come to good people, the karma principle, and I'm sure good things will come to this man, if they haven't already. read more

I was really hopeful about this place after someone hit my new car about 2 months after I bought it. The people are really nice but my problem was with the workmanship which is the most important thing to me in a body shop. I had to take my car in 3 times after they had delivered it to me. My car wasn't in too bad a shape after it was hit and the things I took it back for were minor imperfections but nevertheless I expected the car to be delivered in the same condition as it was before the accident. At one point they seemed like they were getting annoyed by me but I didn't care at that point because I was annoyed that they didn't do the work right the first time. I had to leave it there overnight twice after I had already picked it up the first time when it was supposed to have been ready. They kept leaving primer spray or rough paint spots on the inside of the door. Personally, I would take my car elsewhere after my experience. read more

Let me begin by saying I'm a born/raised NYer that's not easily impressed and is as skeptical and lacks trust in humanity as the day is long. That is... until I had some body work done on my silver 2013 Prius. I accidentally went to Mark Vargo's shop thinking it was a different shop someone had mentioned to me. Talk about a Christmas Miracle. That was Tuesday afternoon. He gave me two estimates, a few hundred dollars apart. Without me saying anything, he suggested I go with the lower of the two saying... " I can fix what's there without having to put new parts on. I can do a great job with what there is. No one would ever know the difference. That's what I would do if it were my car and money". Who does that? Who turns down money? I was sold. This guy was confident in his performance, was moral, decent, great business ethic, CLEAN office (with full size Christmas tree and REAL Christmas Carols playing) and a hell of a nice guy. Dropped my car off on Wednesday morning at 8:00 am. I told him I was leaving for my Christmas break at Noon on Friday. He said he'd do all he could to have it ready by then. Got the call Friday morning at 10:45 saying it was being washed.. be ready at Noon. Picked it up at Noon. On time, on estimate, and it's PERFECT! I mean seriously. Show room perfect. Mark and his friendly, professional and expert staff are outstanding. I really can't say enough good things about this guy and this shop. God forbid you need bodywork done on your car, but.. if you or someone you know does... do yourself a BIG favor and go see Mark. Over the years I've taken my cars to body shops, I've always been skeptical about the quality of repair, the car being "never the same," delays in getting my car returned to me, the inside of the car looking like it's been sitting in a junk yard, etc. Well, Glendale Auto Body shop eased all of my fears regarding auto body shops. My two-year-old car was repaired without any signs that it had been in an accident. I just can't emphasize enough how exceptional the repair job was. But, what truly impressed me was the service from day one. Mark (I believe the owner?) must have seen my apprehensiveness over leaving the car there, because he assured me that my car will be "well taken care of." His staff showed a lot of grace in accomodating my busy work schedule the day I had to pick up the car, which by the way, was as promised. As I was driving the car away, I noticed that my car had been not only washed and detailed on the outside (basic detail) but the interior leather and dash was cleaned as well! WOW...then, Mark personally calls me the next day to assure me that his work is guaranteed and that he would make any necessary adjustments should I not be satisfied with the repair. And, if this isn't enough for all of you taking the time to read my review of Glendale Auto Body, after getting some estimates from the top rated body shops in the area, Mark quoted me the lowest price, this being important because it was an out-of-pocket repair. Totally impressed. After two visits to different body shops I happened upon Glendale Auto Body . After a brief telephone conversation with Mark I knew my worries were over. My concern became his concern. Vandals had destroyed my right side rear view mirror (the entire assembly) on my older Yukon XL. Since no insurance was involved cost was an issue. Mark located an after market product (which the other body shops didn't want to bother) and after a couple of days wait I took my car in and within 30 or 40 minutes I was on my way. Mark is truly an example of an honest, professional who exemplifies the caring spirit that is so lacking in todays marketplace. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. read more

The service at this shop is the best I have ever recieved!!! I went in to get my car fixed because someone side-swipped my car while it was parked at work. They ended up finding damage that wasnt repaired from Honda of Hollywood when I took it there to get fixed 9 months earlier because someone else hit my car while it was parked. They sent me pictures and called my insurance to try to get it dealt with. They kept me up to date about what was going on with my car and what the insurance company and Honda of Hollywood had said about my car. They ended up fixing my car correctly and even polished one of my headlights that had water damage in it even though that area of the car didnt need work. My car looked fantastic!!! I dealt with Mark and Amanda the whole time and they were so sweet and gave fantastic custome service above and beyond what most people will. Mark even told me that my battery was running low and recommended a place up the street to get it replaced. I didnt have time to go there right away so fast forward about a week later and my car wont start. I called Glendale Auto Body to get the name of the place where I could get a battery and they called them , got a price, and called me back and told me they were going to let them know I will be on my way. I told Amanda I had to call AAA to jump my car so I could drive over there so I asked for their number to let them know it may be a while until I got there. Amanda told me she didnt want me to use a AAA call and that Mark would come to my house to jump my car for me since I didnt live that far away. I was blown away!! They didnt have to go out of their way to help my but they did it anyway and for all the reasons above I will never go anywhere else to have work done on my car. You'll never be left on hold for minutes and their attention to detail is beyond belief. Mark Vargo, the owner is always present and accessible, making what could be a really unpleasant experience after an accident, not unpleasant at all. My agent Ethan was incredibly helpful and on top of every detail. When you call to check on progress, you will be surprised to discover that everyone is we'll aware of exactly what the current state of progress is. I just moved into the area from back east. I have been having a hard time keeping my car "up to par". I "yelped" a few places and this place came up with 5 stars. I decided to give them a try. Well as you can see, I also gave them 5 stars. Mark goes above and beyond to give you options. I have gone here 2 times in the last 2 months. The first time was for a review mirror. He gave pricing for a manufacture replacement, and after market replacement. He was quick with getting the parts and with getting the work done quickly. The next time my window went down, and decided to stay down. Again, Mark, took a look at it, told me what the problem was, and gave me options and different pricing for my options, and again was very quick with getting it done. I highly recommend this place. In fact, I am bringing my neighbor in next week to look at a scuff mark on her car. Mark is the best in customer service. And Amanda is very pleasant to speak with as well. read more

I have not had very good experiences with auto body shops in the past. But checking out the reviews for this place helped so I went in. This place is definitely worthy of the hype and then some. As previously stated in prior yelpers, Mark is the man. Friendly guy and completely honest. I had to fix my bumper on a BMW lease I had. I also had some other nicks and scratches along with a chip in the windshield (that i had fixed with resin but you could still see a small mark). Mark was honest and said said don't worry about the crack on the windshield and see if the BMW lease won't see it (they didn't). The other nicks he said he'd fix for me for free which he did. When I picked up my car they re-painted it, it looked brand new with the bumper fixed for a great price. Come time to return the car, I didn't have to pay anything extra. This is the best place to take your car! My car was accidentally stained by one of the rags used in a carwash place that I'm never planning to go again, so I was so worried and took my car to my dealer. They suggested me to go to Glendale Auto Body. I arrived on Saturday, and the shop was closed, but Armando, who was the only one there at the time, tried to help me remove the stain on my hood. Since it didn't come out, he asked me to come back on Monday and offered to color sand the hood to try to remove it and offered to do this free of charge. I just couldn't believe, how kind and helpful he and his all crew were. We went back on Monday and they were able to fix my car. I'm extremely grateful to them, and for sure, if I ever need something to be done to my car, I will entrust Glendale Auto Body to take care of it. They have EXCELLENT customer service and will treat you and take care of your car so well!! read more

Not recommended, I had horrible experience here. About a month ago on a Saturday, I went to this shop to get an estimate for my brother's vehicle and was greeted and met by an employee named Tony. Tony initially was very friendly and helpful with my questions regarding the repairs and paint job I wanted. He seemed very knowledgeable and legit with the services that Glendale Auto Body would provide. Tony looked over the vehicle and we discussed different parts/areas that would be repaired and/or replaced, etc. I felt very confident that I had gone to the right place to get the vehicle repaired. Tony gave me an estimate of $3500-$4000 for the repairs and work it needed. When I informed him that I would be dropping off the vehicle the next Monday morning, I asked him what I needed to do. He instructed me to just show up on Monday and that he would be there to assist me. I trusted his professionalism and knowledge which was a big mistake! The next Monday morning I showed up to drop off the vehicle and Tony was nowhere to be found, I was informed by the owner Mark that Tony was running late, but that they would take the vehicle in since my brother and I needed to go to work. When I informed Mark that I had received an estimate of $3500-$4000 for the work on the vehicle, he asked me if Tony had given me anything in writing. I informed him that he had not, but that when I asked Tony for something he just told me to show up on Monday and that he would be there to assist me. Mark stated that would wait for Tony to arrive and would talk to him about the vehicle and the estimate and call us back as soon as possible. I called the shop about 4 hours later that day and Tony was MIA, I was informed by the reception person that he (Tony) was out sick and would be back tomorrow. She stated that she would leave a note for him to call me back as soon as possible. The next day (Tuesday) I did not hear from anyone from the shop. The following Wednesday afternoon I called again and was informed that Tony was on a leave and would not be back to the shop for a while. I asked the reception person if Mark was going to honor Tony's initial estimate, which should be noted was given to me by Tony when Mark was in the office. She stated that she didn't know, but that Mark wanted my brother or me to come back to the shop for another estimate. I then asked her if this was the case then why we didn't hear from them. All calls for information about Tony and the estimate were initiated by me, not by the shop. The receptionist stated that Mark had been very busy and had not had the time to call me or my brother. The next day (Thursday) my brother decided to pick up his vehicle from the shop without any work being done to it. When he arrived to pick his vehicle, Tony was at the shop back at work. Mark informed him that he would not be honoring Tony's estimate and that he was going have a serious talk with Tony. Mark also offered him to give him a revised estimate which he refused. This whole experience was a complete waste of our time, I went to Glendale Auto Body because of the great reviews found here, but I was very disappointed in the way things played out. I feel wronged by this shop and I ended up taking my business elsewhere. Bottom line, do not trust their employees, Mark was very cordial throughout our interactions although he never offered to make it right, unfortunately. read more
