Rafael is incredibly kind. And he is also honest, which is the reason I'm writing this review. I was sure either my charging port or the battery on my iphone 8 was defective - the phone was having trouble charging. To make sure I kept flipping my charging cable around. But it became more and more problematic, still holding the charge, but having trouble charging. So I was pretty certain it was the port. It turns out it was the cable itself. Rafael could have just taken the unit and done the work, then charged me for it, but he checked the battery, and it was 93% functional. Then he checked the port while I stood there, which he said was absolutely not defective. He even cleaned it to make sure it was fine, which it was. Then he sent me on my way, charging me nothing. It seems like not a lot, but it's great when you can trust someone in the repair business. Today, this kind of thing is more important than ever. I came here to see if my wife's iPhone, which she dropped in the toilet, could be salvaged. He let me know up front that water damage is unpredictable, it seemed like only the screen was damaged, but replacing it might not completely fix the phone. I said ok, I understand, and if the phone isn't fixed can I bring it back for a full refund? And he said YES, that he would refund me in full if I brought the phone back and he would also take back the new replacement screen. As soon as I got in my car the phone wouldn't even charge. I went back inside and after fiddling with it he was able to get the port working. I left. After a day of testing it I noticed there were some dead spots on the screen that didn't respond to touch. I put it in a cloth bag, set it on the shelf, my wife used an older phone we have sitting around, and I brought the broken phone back within a week. When I explained the problem and asked for the refund we previously discussed since the fix wasn't working, he told me that he could only partially refund me and it is written on the receipt. I looked at the receipt, couldn't find any such clause and asked him to point it out for me. He then RELUCTANTLY gave me a full refund, the whole time moaning and groaning about how he had already done the work and now he has to do more work to take the new screen off and replace it with an old screen. Well, I'm sorry, why didn't you just say that from the beginning? And then to make it worse you tried to fool me by lying? On top of all of it, he reversed the screen replacement with a partially shattered screen. I know it seems like that shouldn't matter much because the old one didn't work either and at this point I was just going to sell the phone for parts, but it looked MUCH LESS attractive with a partially shattered screen. The old one I brought to him didn't have a scratch on it. Next time I have a problem with one of my devices I definitely won't be coming here for the repair. Also, I did not come in for data recovery services as Rafael claims in his response below nor did I receive any (this was almost 6 months ago so maybe he doesn't remember me?). His fee was $60. If his response is true, then you should expect to pay only $60 for a screen replacement and data recovery services. I've attached a photo of the charge to my credit card. read more

Sometimes it's the little kind gestures from strangers that make all the difference. I have just come back from getting my phone repaired for the millionth time. When it comes to technology, I'm a little cursed. My iPhone 5s had been cracked in the corner for months now. The back facing camera hadn't been working for even longer. Flash forward to today and my phone had officially enough abuse: it would not work. Although I financially I was in a tight spot, I had no choice but to repair. The man( I now wish I got his name) said it would be $65 for the screen and $20 the home button. I sat down while he went to work. After a few minutes he comes out and says "Your back camera isn't working right? Would you like me to repair it?" I ask him much and he lets me know it will another $20. Not something my back account could take right now so I let him know not today. Not long after that my phone was ready. I paid and went off my merry way. When I got home and pulled my phone out to take another bomb selfie, I realized my back camera worked. He fixed it for free and hadn't mentioned it.
