My family and I have been going to Glenn Kubota since my girls were in jr. high...and they are in their 40's now. I won't go to any other dentist! The women who work there are so nice and friendly and know my family...they should after all these years! A Big plus is that he does not charge outrageous prices like so many dentist do! I called to inquire if they do dentures, which is for my uncle. The receptionist didn't understand what dentures were. I wound up having to spell 'dentures' and she still didn't understand. It's time to hire a receptionist who understands English. read more

I really would not recommend this dentist office. The staff and dentist are very nice & friendly, they make you feel welcome and not judged at all. I saw they had really good reviews here on Yelp & decided to check them out - I believe I came here for two appointments which were just exams and cleanings. I was pretty sure I had a cavity and at my last cleaning the dentist didn't mention it at all and tried to send me on my merry way but I brought it up to him and he laid me back down to took a look, poked around with his tools and told me it's wasn't a cavity. That it was just a hole/defect in the tooth. The dentist office and equipment is very outdated so this time around I decided to go somewhere else. Well I just got done with my appointment there and without even bringing it up the dentist told me I have a cavity in the exact place I brought up to Dr. Kubota. On my bottom molars I have some darkening that I've had for years and never caused me any problems and the dentist told me those are cavities as well. Again, I most definitely had these present at my two visits here and no mention by the doctor. This dentist office is bottom of the barrel and provides the bare minimum to its patients. I feel like they only want to do the basics like exams and cleanings and will not tell you if other work is recommended or needed. I would not go here again in the future. read more

My daughter recommended this gentleman to care for the family's teeth. It was an amazing experience with the dentist being a very businesslike professional. I found his hygienist very knowing and extremely nice. This experience with these nice people in the dental profession should be what all dental experience be model after. read more

New to the area and glad I found Dr. Kubota. Very thorough cleaning. Two thumbs up! Office staff is also very lovely and helpful.

This dentist is the most meticulous I have ever seen. He literally spent an hour fitting my permanent crown. He probably adjusted it at least 50 times trying to get the perfect fit. If you have the time and want a crown that looks and feels like your original tooth, you will appreciate the service. Dr kubota accommodated me very quickly as my insurance was quickly running out. The office is a bit lack luster but Dr Kubota did very well as my filling was executed very quickly without issue. He's very congenial and conscientious as he spent a good amount of time fine tuning the final product. He said he wasn't planning on retiring anytime soon so that is a positive. He also does most of his cleanings except on Fridays when he has a hygentist The facility is dated but it seems the management is trying to update the common areas. read more

I have been looking for a dentist for quite a while now. I am very picky with who I trust in regards to Dentists, so I decided to tread lightly and look for someone on yelp which reviews describes someone I would prefer. I found Dr. Kubota, what brought me to him are these two points from the reviews: -His gentle nature when it comes to dentistry -Not forcing unnecessary procedures onto you Today, was my first appointment and I can attest to the above. With my previous dentists, I always left the dental office with more "problems" than I initially came in for. Lucky enough, with my previous dentists, I always got a second opinion and every time they've told me I never really needed all that was suggested. This time around was different, Kubota performed my check up and cleaning in a timely manner, and when I was done - he confirmed to me that I only needed to come back in for 1 filling. I scheduled the filling and scheduled my husband's initial appointment as well. We are switching over. read more

My husband visited for the first time in Jan 2021. We were both nervous about him visiting during COVID, but assumed a dental office would have high standards. He entered and there was no health screening whatsoever (no temperature, etc.). He had to ask the receptionists multiple time to pull up their masks. They did not even require hand sanitizer or hand washing upon entry nor gave any confidence in how they were mitigating the spread. It has been a long time since I went to the dentist, and Dr. Kubota got straight to the point and set about fixing my tooth problems. There was no judgement or sales run around b.s. like I've had with other dentists. We had a straight up conversation starting with him asking me what problems I have, then we talked about how much it would cost, then he did the work, and did a good job. I appreciated Dr. Kubota's relaxed demeanor, and I found him to be very good with his hands, seemed quicker than other dentists, he didn't pinch my lips even once, and I'm satisfied with the results. read more

Doctor Glenn is incredibly thorough, perfectly communicative, super friendly/pleasant and oh so efficient. His staff are as well. As many other reviews have pointed out, he does not pressure you into unnecessary procedures or sales gimmicks like many other dentists do. Dr Kubota was very understanding about my fears of taking xrays and he made sure I was comfortable. It didn't even hurt when he numbed my gums! I'm usually afraid of the dentist but Dr Kubota made it a pleasant experience. I like that he doesn't try to rip me off like other dentists who would recommend root canals when all I needed was a filling. He's honest and to the point. Highly recommend. read more

Dr. Kubota has been our family dentist for years. I was first referred to him by a co-worker. I needed a 2nd opinion after another dentist told me I needed a root canal when I didn't even have a toothache. Dr. Kubota told me that I didn't need a root canal, just a filling. I have been a loyal patient of his ever since. He is gentle and kind, and very honest. I would recommend him to anyone. read more

I went to Dr. Kubota for three years before we moved out of state. His office is modest but the care that Dr. Kubota gives is excellent. He does not suggest unnecessary procedures. The cleanings were quick and painless and the appointments were almost always on time. I didn't have dental insurance for one year, and the cost was very reasonable and lower compared to the two prior dentists I saw. I would high suggest Dr. Kubota if you would like an honest dentist. read more

I am writing this review because the other review gave Dr Kubota such an unfair rating 2*. Quite ungrateful for someone that agreed to treat her on a Sunday!!! His office might not be new nor modern but he does a great job! My daughter broke her front teeth and he fixed them right away. I was so impressed how he was able to pretty much create another tooth as she broke more than half of her upper incisors. UPDATED -- Dr. Kubota knows what he is doing and he is gentle. Another lady he employs for teeth cleaning is definitely not gentle and will make you leave bleeding. I always schedule my teeth cleaning with Dr. Kubota himself. The office is nothing special, no bells or whistles. It's definitely old school. My one emergency (a cracked tooth), he saw me first thing the next morning (on a Sunday)! My insurance changed for 2 years and I had the opportunity to visit several other dentists, after which I was so happy to go back to Dr. Kubota! Although the office and filing/accounting system are old, the service and breadth of knowledge is better than the 4 other dentists I went to during my change in insurance. My family has been going to Doctor Kubota for about 16 years. He is a wonderful dentist. He is very gentle during procedures and shows concern about patient's comfort level. He explains things very well and does not recommend unnecessary treatments; he's very ethical. His office is modest but very relaxing and nice. The staff is friendly and courteous. About three years ago, we moved to Davis but continue to see Doctor Kubota; he is definitely worth the 35-minute drive. read more

I had a second visit to Dr. Kubota. He is great! It's his dental hygienist that is the problem. When she was cleaning my teeth, she kept pressing her hand on my eye. I finally asked her nicely if she would stop doing that. In response, she said to me, "was I doing that? No one has ever said that before." No apology. Then she said, "I guess no one has said that to me because they are afraid of what I might do to them." Really? What a kook! Also, when she cleaned my teeth with that tool, rather than cleaning each tooth, she just ran the polisher back and forth across my teeth like she was brushing my teeth. Usually dental hygienists floss my teeth after polishing. She just gave me some mouth wash. I also mentioned to her that I had concern about one of my teeth and there was nothing from her as far as follow up. Only a comment from her that she could see my concern. I really like Dr Kubota but will never go back because of his hygienist. read more
