In 2024, I switched insurance after starting a new job and needed a dentist because one of my fillings had cracked. I was completely transparent with Dr. Bautista and the front desk about my financial situation. I explained that my insurance coverage was limited but would improve later, and I asked for the best option with that in mind. Instead, I was pushed toward getting a crown. I trusted the recommendation because I assumed the dentist had my best interest in mind. I spent thousands of dollars I could barely afford, only to later learn--after seeing three other dentists--that a crown likely wasn't necessary at the time. The filling could have been repaired temporarily and reevaluated once my insurance improved. That option was never meaningfully presented to me. The procedure itself was a disaster. The temporary crown was fitted incorrectly, forcing me to return multiple times. Then the permanent crown was also poorly fitted. For the next two years, I lived with constant pain and discomfort, believing that maybe this was just something I had to accept. A week ago, the crown fell off completely. My new dentist immediately identified that the crown had been poorly fitted. I now need an entirely new crown and may even need a root canal because of it. And somehow it gets worse. Because South River Dental has a five-year warranty on this crown, my insurance will not cover replacing it with another provider. I no longer live in Northern California, and I have absolutely no intention of returning to this office after what I've experienced. When I called to ask what my options were, I was transferred repeatedly, hung up on twice, and told a specialist would call me back. No one ever did. I also could not reach a manager. This experience has cost me thousands of dollars, two years of pain, and now another expensive dental procedure that could have been avoided. The lack of accountability and customer service afterward has only made it worse. I regret even searching for a new dentist and this office has made a regular visit to the dentist a horror story.

I moved to Rancho Cordova many years ago, but I never for a moment considered switching to a dentist closer to my home. The office is comfortable, and I always get a friendly smile and welcome when I arrive. My appointment always starts on time, and I have never had a problem scheduling new appointments. It is definitely an atmosphere of family. They make it a priority to make sure you are comfortable; there is even a poster of a nice relaxing beach scene on the ceiling that you see when you are in the dental chair. I highly recommend.

Dr. Dang advised me to purchase an electric toothbrush but didn't push me to purchase one at his office which was nice. The star in my opinion was the dental hygienist that did two of my cleanings. She was very thorough, gave me honest advice, and was very approachable. All the staff I have interacted with was very good and nice. I have a strict no texting policy and they would just call and leave a vm for me. Plenty of parking. There are some weekdays where they care closed and they are closed for long stretch of time during the holidays. Overall, even with my harsh work schedule I was able to book appointments.

This review is on behalf of my daughter. She was a patient at Eureka Dental for about one year…read more Everything was okay until her last visit. This visit was due to tooth pain. Dr. Ismat told her the pain was due to an overfilled or "high" dental filling that because of grinding, was pressing on a nerve. Her treatment plan was to redo the filling which would include drilling away excess filling. My daughter asked for pain medication. Ibuprofen 600 mg was offered. My daughter told her she had already taken 800 mg ibuprofen and 500 mg Naproxen and that neither one had relieved the pain. Dr. Ismat said she was unable to prescribe anything other than that. My daughter then made an appointment with another dentist. She told him what had transpired at Eureka Dental. This dentist recommended antibiotics to rule out an infection with the gums. He also gave her a prescription for pain medication. This dentist practiced prudency and was correct in his diagnosis. My daughter is no longer experiencing any pain. I might add that if Dr. Ismat refused to prescribe pain medication because she believed the pain was due to nerve pain alone, shouldn't she have done specialized tests along with imaging and symptom patterns to rule out other causes? Dr. Ismat's diagnosis seemed to be solely based on financial gain for Eureka Dental.

I had this procedure at another dentist about a year and a half ago. It was so painful. He did not check in. He got frustrated when I would ask him to pause for a minute. And he was very rough. Dr. Mendoza is so gentle. One of my many favorite things about him as he checks in to make sure that you're OK and not in pain. He also tells you exactly what he's doing each step. Today I had Angela and Marife. Both were very kind and nurturing. I also had the pleasure of meeting another front desk associate her name is Rose and she's also very sweet. I highly recommend this DENTIST and amazing staff! A month ago - Extractions Meli was the first person I spoke to when I called as a new patient. Super sweet and professional. Angie was the person who did my X rays. She was very gentle and kind. I was visiting the office because I needed an extraction, and was in excruciating pain. The staff were like my lil guardian angels. Then Dr. Mendoza comes in the room. I was having such an amazing experience. I was kind of scared that the dentist might be like most I've seen. Cold with a God complex. Dr. Mendoza is the exact opposite! He's light hearted, funny and extremely informative. Wish I found this office 30 years ago.
