Went here with a large party on Sunday for their farmers market that they host. The Restaurant was such a wonderful setting. The new brunch menu is delicious I had their version of the eggs Benedict. It was delicious, creative and something I would highly recommend. Majority of the rest of the group got the breakfast burrito and all thought it was delightful. One got the tortilla soup the presentation was great and she seemed to love it as well. Service was sharp too. Had lunch between rounds of golf. The Sonoran hot dog (my first) was absolutely great, and the "side" salad was a star on its own. It's hard for me to describe, because there were so many flavors present, and neither is like anything I've had before, however, it's safe to say I wouldn't hesitate to order these again. We really enjoyed our time here! The food and drinks were excellent. We started with guac and chips which were light and fresh. My husband had the chicken torta and I had the Mercado salad with salmon. Both delicious! The atmosphere is also excellent. The only cons were that we had to wait about 10 minutes before a server acknowledged us once we sat down (we came here on a Thursday afternoon) and they do not have changing tables in their restrooms if you do plan to bring your kids. I had to go out to the parking lot to change my baby in my car. Hopefully they will add them in the future because we would like to return! read more

4 colleagues and I stopped in for dinner. We were a bit surprised pulling in to the parking lot, as the restaurant is located at a golf course and we weren't sure what we would be walking into. However, it turned out to be so much better than we had expected. We were accommodated with outside seating, per our request. The restaurant had only just open 3 days prior and we were all very impressed with the food, service, and atmosphere. I had the flatiron steak, which was cooked to perfection. A couple of my colleagues couldn't stop raving about the Scottish Salmon. One of the owners stopped by our table and shared the story of how he and his friends opened the golf course a couple years prior and how their vision for this restaurant came about. Came for dinner with high hopes but sadly left hungry. We got the chips and salsa and guac which was good. Service was slow despite there only being 2 other tables seated. For entrees we ordered chicken tortilla soup, which was basically watered down enchilada sauce with boney chicken pieces, basically inedible. We also got the brisket burger which turned out to be practically moo-ing at us it was borderline raw. The chicken tacos were decent but extremely small. Definitley will not be returning. read more

I've been to Glenrosa several times before and always had great food and service, so tonight was a real disappointment. It wasn't busy, and we sat right at the bar but the bartender didn't even acknowledge us. No greeting, no menus, no "I'll be right with you," nothing. After a couple of minutes of waiting, I started timing it out of disbelief. Ten full minutes went by without a single word or glance. We finally got up and left. On the way out, we told the manager, and all she said was, "sorry about that." No effort to make it right, no attempt to salvage the experience. I'll probably give Glenrosa another chance because past visits have been excellent, but this was hands down one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. Hopefully it was just an off night, but what a letdown. Update: The owner reached out and genuinely made things right. It seems like there are other reviews with a similar situation. However, I was very disappointed with my experience here. The online listing states that dogs are welcome, which is why I chose this restaurant for my white golden doodle. After driving over, I was told my dog could not join me on the back patio while receiving weird looks. For many of us, our dogs are family, and being turned away after relying on the information provided was both frustrating and annoying. I also attempted to call ahead several times to confirm, but no one answered the phone (big surprise). If you have any fondness at all for a Margarita, this is the place to go - lots of variations on the theme with fresh pressed juices and different flavor profiles. Also plenty of options for non-tequila cocktails (and probably mocktails but I didn't check . . . someone should update on that). The chips with smokey salsas were a perfect match to the cocktails. The food was a bit on the pricey side compared to some fast casual options, but where I'm from ALL the restaurant food is on the pricey side and it doesn't usually involve a nice wood fired flavor, so it didn't bother me. My friend ordered a beef torta (sandwich) - not very generous with the beef. I ordered the Chicken Colorado. The side of vegetables were pathetic - a couple of onions, 2 peppers, a side of corn. The corn tortillas were average. When we left the place still had tons of table available. The bartender was nice - said the place was quite a party place later in the evening. Will be back! We went on a gloomy/rainy day but still wanted to sit outside and luckily there was covered seating outside. The view was great and it was peaceful outside. Our server Ivy was great and took care of us! The food was really good! We got the ceviche (as pictured) and it was very refreshing. We also got the carne asada tacos (as pictured) with beans and rice that were very good. The tortillas tasted homemade and the steak was cooked perfectly! The steak was tender and not fatty which I really enjoyed. We also got the pork taco (forgot to get a picture) which was sooo good. It was spicy but it was delicious. DELICIOUS! Went out with extended family and we couldn't have had a better experience. The appetizer platter was perfect starter for a table of 6 and what ever that fried beef was... sign me up! So good! Ordered the 20oz bone in rib eye for dinner and It was cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of flavor from the wood Grill. Glenrosa had amazing food, great cocktails and the best music and atmosphere out of anywhere in Phoenix. Shrimp tacos were top 5 I've ever had. This is hands down our favorite place to go as a family. We have two boys (2) & (4) and they run around the large grass lawn while my wife and I have a glass of wine waiting for our dinner. Food is excellent, we love the tacos and all the different salsas. They just started serving brunch on the weekends and its amazing. We discovered this place by accident today after our hike at Papago, while looking for a different place. They just had their grand opening yesterday but they clearly have done their prep work, because they were running smoothly and the service was great. Our server was Yari (sp?) and she didn't miss a beat. She gave us the back story of the restaurant and explained all of the dishes expertly. We shared the ceviche, which was perfect, and each had a Sonoran hot dog. They had a creamy green topping instead of mayo which was delicious, and the actual hot dog was super tasty and high quality. The Sonoran dogs were overall a 9/10, with one point deducted because the bun wasn't as soft I like. Really good though, and I'd order it again. We tried both the side salad (Tijuana salad, their version of Caesar) and the steak fries, and both were right on point - flavorful, presented well, and extra tasty. We decided to try to dessert when we learned they had gooey oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and Mexican hot chocolate flavored gelato. Those two go brilliantly together! Now we are stuffed and dreaming of our next visit! The ambiance is great, with an outdoor patios and open doors. The bar looks like a lot of fun. It has a great view of the golf course and the mountains. The music is a nice mix. The servers are all very friendly and helpful. We had a great time and will be back! read more
