Love the NEW location of Glenview Grind, 1837 Glenview Rd., just west of train tracks and the Glenview House. Street parking as well as parking behind, PLUS a drive thru! Offers a variety of coffee and tea, juices plus pastries/dessert. The new location is sunny, open and airy with plenty of room for small groups and counter tops for singles/doubles. On nice days, there are outdoor tables available. Have already had a couple of meetings there. Nice energy, quiet enough to have a conversation. So nice to have a locally own coffee shop. read more

Customer Service: not the friendliest Location: hard to get in and out of with a car Prices: if you thought Starbucks was a lot, try ordering a large Americano that said it was $2.85 on the board and then get charged $4.62. When asked why I got charged an extra $2 I was told because two extra espresso shots are in the iced cup. $4.62 for espresso, ice, and water seems a little extreme. I'm all for supporting small local businesses, but not ones that are taking advantage of the community. The price is more than $1 more than Starbucks. This might be one of my new favorite coffee shop. The last time I came to this location there was a Caribou here, so I decided to try out this "new" place, and I LOVED it!!! I walked in and was standing back looking at the menu, and the woman at the counter asked if I was ready to order. I told her that I had never been before, and she said "Oh! Well then let me explain the menu to you!" She then briefly went through the menu, and I was impressed by how helpful and enthusiastic she was! (So to the nice lady working on August 12 around 3 PM, you were fantastic!!!) She recommended an iced Nutella Latte, and it was AMAZING. It was pretty rich, but I loved it, and I will definitely be coming back. I love the atmosphere, it would be an awesome place to study. I saw a sign in the window that said they are moving down the street a little ways, so I hope their new location will be as spacious, comfortable, and study friendly as their current location! A nice respite from Starbucks but when busy service can be slow. People are very friendly. Cozy environment. Drive through available.

Pros: Quiet Calm atmosphere - They have TV's on mute and classical or hip music on softly. And the Baristas are calm and chill. Anyone who comes in generally is quiet Kind and Prompt Service - They are quick to take your order and quick to finish it and it still is high quality. The servers are just kind people in general. The kind if you yelled at them they would say thank you with a smile. Free WiFi High Quality - This used to be Caribou and when they took over they changed the layout so there are more place to sit and relax and it feel open. They also have flat screens with the menu and at the register screens that tell you the names of everyone who works there. The coffee and fun drinks are done with CARE. They aren't rushing but they are efficient. To understand the level of this place can be summed up in this: They have fresh cut flowers in the restrooms! - That kind of attention to detail and care makes them by far the nicest coffee shop I've ever been to. I tried this coffee shop in the new location because I prefer smaller shops over large chains when possible. I waited a very long time for my drink (I wasn't in a hurry and am a patient person. But it still felt like a very long time). I think the cashier might be in training and maybe one of the coffee makers? The reason I speculate was because the coffee maker was often just standing there seeming overwhelmed while his co worker did the bulk of the work. I think those employees need more support while they are still learning. The person behind me's 3 part order came before my one drink which I thought was odd. A woman complained that something was missing from her oatmeal and the manager (?) assured her it was not no less than 5 times before just fixing the issue. She's lucky that lady stayed polite. Don't mess with north shore moms, they'll go off, seriously. My coffee was underwhelming. I'm going to have to try the place across the street. This place isn't worth trouble. read more

This is by far my favorite coffee shop. I cannot comment on the quality of their food or specialty drinks, although they look great, as I have only had their dark and light roast, but both of those are excellent. I really like the atmosphere and the attitude of the baristas have, very casual and straightforward. I really enjoy how I can stop by on my way to work and no matter how long the line is (which it usually isnt), and I am in and out in less than two minutes. Today was my first trip to glenview grind and it was well worth it. The second I walked in we were greeted by the staff who were very friendly and made me laugh. I ordered an iced Nutella latte, and it didn't let me down. I've always had a guilty conscience about eating Nutella straight from the jar, but now I can get that same taste from this drink, without glares from others. I love trying out small, local businesses, and I can definitely say that I will be back for another visit! read more

I come here every once and a while for a Nutella latte and a quick bit in the morning. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful even though they are dealing with tons of customers some days. The place is neat and welcoming and they even have a drive through. I've only really tasted one sandwich they had but it was basically like an egg McMuffin but heartier. Very good. The coffee is ok, but not outstanding in any way. All in all this is a pretty solid place. If you're gonna go to Starbucks for any standard coffee drink, just go here. The fact that a local business man stepped up and brought a local coffee shop to Glenview and also gave peopletheir jobs back. If more people were like this our economy would be better.................. I go for the coffee. I dont really pay attention to the decor, however looks more spacious and open. They also have raffle going on to help a local Nun who feeds the hungry homeless. This guy is really giving back to his community. Great coffee, service and atmosphere. Limited food options available (mostly of a flour/sugar type). Employees are fun and the people are sprinted and lively. College students, professors, artists, and people of every kind. It can be a little rowdy noisy crowded and sometimes there are moments when it is quiet, complete silence, and you can hear your own breathing. Just kidding, you'll hear someone smirk, laugh, breathe, or fart before you hear you own breathing. Some days the lines are long, and some days the lines are short. I love Glenview Grind, but the new location feels smaller and less roomy. The area where you pickup your drinks is so crammed and you can't get passed if there is someone behind you. The drive through feels weird. It's a small area behind the store and it just doesn't feel write. I prefer the old Glenview Grind location. I always get the same thing: strawberry smoothie with whipped cream and it's always so good. I recommend getting that if you don't like coffee! Good friendly place to get sweet drinks! read more

This is an amazing place. The first thing I noticed walking in is the great atmosphere - the building is designed so that natural light comes in through the windows and gives the entire coffee shop a beautiful glow. Despite there being many customers, it was not loud at all. The Wildberry Blast smoothie was probably the best smoothie I've ever tasted, and for a really great price too. I was served very quickly as well. The staff deserve special applauding- I accidentally dropped my driver's license there, and Cal brought it to my house the same day with a free drink coupon. I highly recommend the Glenview Grind, and will definitely be coming back often. read more

While visiting Chicago, i went to Glenview Grind a few times (very close from where i was staying!)... Coffee is 'okay', (i had regular, plain, cappuccino) good flavor and aroma but way too hot! Pastries? Pretty bad!! A coffee shop that spent so much in setting a location that big (and a bit more) on branding should be worried about the quality of their BASIC offerings! Bottom line, I felt i was at a Starbucks location at the airport!!!! The good news? These are things can be fixed with some effort from the management!! read more
