The prices do always vary depending on what you get done but I don't mind paying when I can expect the same good work from John every single time. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I got a message from this place saying I had a birthday 10% discount I could use and totally forgot and even after checking in their system it still didn't notify them to basically remind me. Super rushed, and no attention to detail. I came in for an acrylic fill, with one broken nail. The tech just jumped in totally doing her own thing, and never asked if I wanted to make it even with the rest of my long nails. While filing I asked the simple question "could you please make them shorter?" (so they'd match the broken one) and she gave a big sigh as if I had ruined everything. At the very end, my pointer finger was lumpy and misshapen, so I asked her to please make it even and finally when she finished, it was a slightly different shade from the other nails... Taking a closer look at home, I realized it was because she put a GLITTER top coat instead of clear top coat... on just that ONE nail... what the heck?? And to finish it all off, she filed so hard around the edges of all my nails, exposing my real nail underneath and removing all the polish she just did?? I truly don't understand. This is why girls are scared to speak up at nail salons, because when we ask for basic standards there's pushback! I'm giving 2 stars because when you're looking from far away, they are acceptable. This place used to be really good but I'm disappointed in the new owner business practice. I did a spring cleaning and found an old gift card that I thought I had lost. They told me it's a new owner so they cannot accept. I asked if I could get a discount since I still had 65 dollars on my card and the lady told me half off but when I went to pay her husband he told me 10% off which was just a few bucks. I didn't feel like arguing so I let it go. The nail techs are very nice and the place is clean but I really think they should work on customer service. My feet were in rough shape and I would've loved to pay for more in-depth scrubbing, but this would be a great place if you're diligent about getting your nails done regularly. Manicure was lacking. Shaping was very bad, but I wasn't paying attention during my manicure otherwise I would've called it out earlier. Asked for square and they flared out at the ends, making for very ugly nails. DO NOT COME HERE FOR GEL X NAILS !! I am a regular customer to this place but went to another nail salon for Gel X nails which did a beautiful job but I wanted to try this place because it's my regular spot and close to my home. Usually I ask for a regular gel manicure which they have done great in the past. I came to have my first set of Gel X nails removed. I just needed a new set. The customer service here is usually on point but today I was highly disappointed. The nail tech was kind enough but was struggling for two hours to apply my gel X nails and repeatedly explained that it was my nail beds that were the problem being that they are small and round. She eventually offered to do acrylic nails and I opted for a basic gel manicure seeing as I had been there for an hour forty give minutes already. Shortly after deciding on a color she tells me she can't do them at all because now there is so much glue from her past work on trying to apply the gel X nail tips that now the polish won't stick. She went on to explaining she didn't wanting to damage my nails any further by grinding them down in order to remove the glue. It has been two hours with only excuses and my nails looking and feeling like hell at this point . I appreciate her apology BUT honestly This was the worst experience I've ever had leaving a nail salon. She went on to apologize but that doesn't make up for the waist of time and not to mention ruining my once healthy nails. DO NOT COME HERE FOR GEL X NAILS. I usually do not write bad reviews but I feel it's in someone else's best interest to share my honest experience. Be sure to do your research before committing to a nail tech here for gel x nails. I Won't be returning to this place again for this service. Not to mention the front desk did not even offer to compensate me for the waste of time that I spent there.
