I always choose John, he's patient with me and I think he does very consistent work. The prices do always vary depending on what you get done but I don't mind paying when I can expect the same good work from John every single time. I chose to get a basic acrylic refill with a sparkling clear coat on top. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I got a message from this place saying I had a birthday 10% discount I could use and totally forgot and even after checking in their system it still didn't notify them to basically remind me. First time here. Love my nail! Was going to do no colors on my nail but the colors are pretty so I did gel on both. Mini did my manicure. Huong did my pedicure. The most horrific experience of my life! Charged me over 1:50 dollars to send me to the dr then specialist to have a part of my toe nail that was left behind but cut surgically removed!!!! I walked in without an appointment and was greeted with a warm smile and offered service right away. Vivian gave me a wonderful pedicure with the best hot stone foot massage I've had in years. Joanne did my nails (powder dip with acrylic tips) and exceeded my expectations. Their customer service was spectacular and I truly felt pampered. They made my day. I will be back. I've been coming to get my nails done here for the past several months -- and every time I leave happy! The environment is very clean and calm, even when they're slammed it doesn't come off as hectic. I FINALLY found my nail salon! I live in 2 states and travel all the time but I will try very hard to make sure I come back here to get my nails done! Julie does the best nails I've ever had done! Super rushed, and no attention to detail. I came in for an acrylic fill, with one broken nail. The tech just jumped in totally doing her own thing, and never asked if I wanted to make it even with the rest of my long nails. While filing I asked the simple question "could you please make them shorter?" (so they'd match the broken one) and she gave a big sigh as if I had ruined everything. At the very end, my pointer finger was lumpy and misshapen, so I asked her to please make it even and finally when she finished, it was a slightly different shade from the other nails... Taking a closer look at home, I realized it was because she put a GLITTER top coat instead of clear top coat... on just that ONE nail... what the heck?? And to finish it all off, she filed so hard around the edges of all my nails, exposing my real nail underneath and removing all the polish she just did?? I truly don't understand. This is why girls are scared to speak up at nail salons, because when we ask for basic standards there's pushback! I'm giving 2 stars because when you're looking from far away, they are acceptable. Horrible experience! Left cut bleeding on my pedicure and manicure. Overcharge by the manicure $55 with no Gel or nail polish just old nail polish removal. Wow $95 total for no gel or nail polish and left bleeding such a horrible experience was in pain the whole time. Would never go or let anyone I know go here! read more

This place used to be really good but I'm disappointed in the new owner business practice. I did a spring cleaning and found an old gift card that I thought I had lost. They told me it's a new owner so they cannot accept. I asked if I could get a discount since I still had 65 dollars on my card and the lady told me half off but when I went to pay her husband he told me 10% off which was just a few bucks. I didn't feel like arguing so I let it go. The nail techs are very nice and the place is clean but I really think they should work on customer service. GIft cards do not expire in California and I would have been a repeat customer like I used to be. Now I feel like they're greedy and will go across the street instead. My sister & I recently moved to the area, and today was my first visit to this salon. Vivian was my nail tech, and gave me an exceptional pedicure. She really took the time to personalize the treatment to suit my needs and kept me informed throughout the entire process, which I truly appreciated. Super close to my house and reasonable prices for a regular mani pedi. Standard pedicure includes light callus buffing. My feet were in rough shape and I would've loved to pay for more in-depth scrubbing, but this would be a great place if you're diligent about getting your nails done regularly. Manicure was lacking. Shaping was very bad, but I wasn't paying attention during my manicure otherwise I would've called it out earlier. Asked for square and they flared out at the ends, making for very ugly nails. Might give this place another shot due to the convenience. read more

At Glitz Nail Bar located in Five Points HB, Joanne did a beautiful Ombré on my nails. I am thrilled with my nails because they look like glass to me. Plus the atmosphere is so relaxed with pleasant music and choice of beverage. Lastly, Glitz just got new massage chairs and my back feels great. Its near my home and after seeing the number of good reviews I went there to be disappointed. The lady who did my nails was rude and rough. I did dip powder nails, and was sitting in a massage chair. When I asked her how to turn the chair on, she said it's only for pedicure clients. Her job was very sloppy and one of the nails broke 2 days later. The area that I was sitting was dirty. I was hopping I will like this salon since it's near my home, but unfortunately will never go back. read more

I've been coming here for the past 5 or so years and have always loved the atmosphere. They have nice big massage chairs and offer a complimentary beverage. Some days are better than others, as is human nature. Overall I've had some great experiences. Sometimes the vibe is a little tense depending on what's happening, but I always try to just enjoy the experience. My nails always look good and I leave happy. I have never done gel here or dip, so I can't speak to that. read more

Went in for a basic mani/pedi; had to decline multiple times the up sale of gels it was beyond frustrating. The nail polish they used was so old they added nail polish remover to thin the tackiness also making a very weak polish; note the color was red a very basic color around the 4th. To top it off when I asked for a decoration they wanted to put a sticker on; why would you go to a nail salon for stickers you could buy at target or Amazon. read more

So I'm sitting here getting a mani pedi and one of my toes has a thick nail. I asked the lady to "please" file it down a little shorter and she rolled her eyes and continued to lightly file it and I asked her again to please file my toenail again, so it matches the others and she continued to roll her eyes! Awful. It had been about a year since I've been here. The quality of service is terrible and not to mention the $. The lady actually laughed twice when I asked to correct the shape of my nail. I leave every shop paying at LEAST 100 bucks every single time. Fill or full set does not make ANY sense, and this nail business is a huge scam. I mean shouldn't we leave the nail shop satisfied? If you mention a correction to be made... good luck. I remember bring 20 years old and paying 25$ for a full set. They would treat you like gold while you were there and you'd get a arm massage. I mean, I lived in these nails shops back in early 2000 Lol The quality has gone down and prices DEFINITELY do not match the work and customer service. Wow! First time here and I had a great experience. First, the manager Tom was very nice and professional both on the phone and in-person. He was very accommodating when I had to push out my appointment time. As for the service I received, I got a french gel pedicure done with Tina. She did such a wonderful job! She took her time and had great attention to detail, very meticulous! I would defiantly come back to get a pedicure done again by Tina. Worst nail salon ever, they looked at me like I had cooties... she s rubbed my feet slow and like she didn't wanna touch a black person! I have been to this nail salon before and it was great! This time was terrible and they were expensive!! They did a bad job and still paid over $200.00 We won't be back! The lady was so aggressive and yanked on my toes and bent them back like it was funny and was glad they ruined our day!! He had to tell her to let my tie go so we could just leave. This place is superior to any other nail salon I've been to. I came her because Ken just moved here and he does amazing nails. 3D, diamonds, glitter, designs, you name is Ken can do it. Ken is very nice and treats his customers like friends. Not only do I love this place because of Ken but the new owner and the rest of the staff is very friendly and professional. Amazing nail bar!!! Beautiful salon, very clean, complementary champagne or wine, tons of color options. I'm hooked after one visit. Tom and Hannah took such good care of me and my friends. Our nails look perfect! They use high end gel products and all organic body oils and lotions. Every aspect of my treatments were thoroughly explained- Hannah even let me smell the different bath salts and lotions before using them! This is the best nails salon I have been to yet! I highly recommend this spot! Best pedicures with lots of different add on options if you'd like, they communicate the add ons as you go so you know exactly what you're getting. They pay very close attention to detail making sure you love the color and never make you feel rushed. Super clean and they even offer complimentary coffee and wine! read more

A little pricey and photos on the website are not of the actual location. https://glitz-nailbar.com but this location just opened up in 5points near BofA earlier this month, so give it some time and give it a try. I love getting my nails done at Glitz Nail Bar by Joanne! She always does an amazing job & she is meticulous about the way my nails look just like I am. This is my go to nail salon. The ladies are intentional about their manis and pedis and do a knockout job every time. Not only are they really good, but the entire staff is also very friendly and accommodating. It's hard to find both around here and I hit the jackpot at Trisara. read more
