I really loved visiting this salon for the first time on December 25th. Everyone working here is kind and they really know what they're doing. It is amazing that they stayed open on Christmas Day to accept customers. From the moment I walked in I was greeted kindly and instantly felt at home with them. I stumbled this location that I found on Yelp only 3 minutes away from me and I needed my nails done for thanksgiving oh and I'm very last minute because of my crazy schedule, the owner picked up my call and they totally accommodate me on THANKSGIVING they came and opened the shop and did my Gel Mani Color change only! And charged be very reasonable price! Not only that the girl helped me to choose a color which ended up to be the color of my dress I was wearing that night! Best manicure I've EVER had! I did a Yelp search to find a nail shop that was still open on Sunday at 5pm. I called Glo Salon and they were able to accommodate me right away. The salon was very quiet and clean. Alina introduced herself and was very sweet. My nails and cuticles were in HORRIBLE shape when I walked in and I was hoping someone was going to take the time on my cuticles. Alina WORKED AND WORKED on my cuticles and then when it came to my nails, she applied some magical pink stuff prior to adding the gel polish. (Mind you I had no plans of getting gel polish as I hate how it typically damages my nails. For some reason I changed my mind and went for it. This salon did not pressure me at all!) The finished product was BEAUTIFUL!! My nails looked COMPLETELY different when I left. I wish I would have taken a "before" picture, but I was too embarrassed, so the after picture will have to speak for itself. Five stars doesn't even feel like enough to give this amazing place. On the day of my prom, another salon I had an appointment with cancelled on me because they were overbooked. I went to Glo Salon, and despite already having appointments, they took me in because they wouldn't allow my prom to be ruined. Marla and Diana are my guardian angels. They both each worked on one side of my head to get all my hair curled in time, and the results were fantastic. I had beautiful curls that lasted all throughout prom, and were even still in my hair when I woke up the next day. I became a regular because my boyfriend's mom was a regular customer of Diana Escobar. We followed Diana from her old place. We always came together to see Diana. Diana Escobar is like a family member to us. She was there with me in the hospital when my boyfriend's mom (whom I considered as my mother-in-law) passed away. Words can't express it enough how our family appreciated Diana for being there that night. It only strengthen the good bond that has been already there. All of those aside, she is a true artist and she always gives great service & attention to what we wanted & asked for. She is an amazing hairdresser! Enough said! Here I am as promised. I had made a 3:30 appt with Megan S who was all ready when I got there. Megan listened to the comments I had about needing an easy style because i like to style a little and run out the door. Megan helped me strategize and then did my color. It is great! Just the right blend of my own color and it works with the highlights I had left over. As a result of her work my hair is very nicely blended. For the cut, I had an asymmetrical look before and wanted to keep some of the wispy length in back and thin it out, so that it is easy and carefree. I received a gentle layering and Megan is very careful not to pull your hair/scalp. Megan listens. Bottom line. This was a great experience and I can recommend Megan. Came here riding on the tail coats of reviews based on Nikki's Old Towne salon. Took my niece here for a trim. Surprisingly very close to home and easy to find. Scheduled an appointment with Nikki around 11am on a Tuesday and was able to fit a hair cut in at 2pm. Flexible scheduling and efficient - thank goodness! My niece came in quite nervous due to some hair trauma she had with a previous stylist, at the end of this session, she was all smiles from ear to ear. Being 16 is tough! $20 for the whole cut. I gave Nikki an extra $5 for tip. What can I say? When my niece is happy, I'm happy. FYI, it was for a CUT ONLY. No shampoo/conditioner or blow out was done since my niece's hair is naturally straight and doesn't need much fuss with a blow dryer, straighter, or curling iron. I think the real test of her skills will probably come in when I come in with my long, thick wavy mane that I have been growing out for the last several months. Marla is amazing. My friend and coworker Alice referred me to her. I was sitting waiting for Marla to finish with a client. As she walked towards me welcoming me to the salon I could see her creative wheels turning. I said to her "Help" she said with her beautiful smile I got this. I think we need to go with a darker color. Marla showed me a few different colors, but honestly she pointed to her coworkers hair and said, I think that color would look fabulous on you. I said Marla, do your magic I trust you. I love Alice's hair so I know I am in good hands Marla took my hair, that looked like hay, so dry, and flat no style to amazingly gorgeous. Marla said we need to do a trim and may I layer your hair. I said once again I trust you. Marla is the first hairdresser in a very long time, that just knew what to do for me. Everyone was so welcoming. As I sat there waiting for my color to take effect Marla sat right next to me and we chatted. We got to know each other and it was a lovely experience. Now that Diana Escobar is here, I am too. She has been doing my Hair for 33 years you heard me 33 years. I was 21 and I am now 54. I follow her wherever she goes and this is the first time I have reviewed the salon. This is a nice clean place with great people. I cannot tell you the amount of times people stop me on the street and ask " how did you get that color".
