Luna Roja has a fun, lively atmosphere with a casual modern-Mexican vibe that works well for dinner and drinks downtown. The space feels energetic without being overly fancy, making it a good spot for a laid-back night out with friends. We started with the queso and street corn for appetizers. The street corn was definitely my favorite -- flavorful, creamy, and easily the standout starter. For the main course, I ordered the carne asada. The flavors were really good, but the steak itself was a little chewy. Dessert was the highlight of the meal. We had the churro doughnut balls and the tres leches, and both were excellent. If you have a sweet tooth, definitely save room for dessert here. Overall, a great downtown Dallas spot with good flavors, fun vibes, and desserts that stood out more than the mains. Happy hour (4pm-7pm)

My wife and daughter took me to Luna Roja for Father's Day this past weekend and it was a great experience. The restaurant was decorated nicely and very clean and organized. The service we received from Mia was amazing and very professional. She knew the menu from front to back and gave us great recommendations for all 3 courses. We started with a crispy pork belly and shrimp appetizer that was second to none. The other appetizer was a shrimp, scallop and radish salad. This was another home run dish. For dinner I had the seafood enchiladas and it was also. Can't say enough about about the whole experience. The manager was stopping by for quick conversations and making sure we were taken care of. Thank you Luna Roja for a great Father's Day celebration.

My friend and I went to Luna Roja for brunch this weekend. The ambience was very warm and sophisticated. We had excellent service from our server Johnathon. Johnathon was very attentive and when we explained that we would be splitting two entrées, he let the kitchen know of our plan and asked them to equally split the entrées between two plates so that we wouldn't have to separate it at the table. This was kind and made diving right into brunch that much easier. The chilequiles were delicious. Luna Roja's salsas were tasty and added the right flavors to each dish. The Tres Leches French toast was a delicious sweet breakfast treat. The margarita and mimosa we had were amazing. I would definitely come back! Complementary valet was a great perk!

Every bite tastes just like, if not better than, Café du Monde in New Orleans. You can't beat that fresh-out-of-the-fryer goodness! While I wouldn't personally visit late at night because of the location, it's 100% worth stopping by during the day or early evening. If you're a beignet lover, this place is an absolute must-try. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

It had a nice, warm, and welcoming feel, which made it a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy a quick treat. The staff was attentive and took my order pretty quickly, which I appreciated. My Americano came out hot and had a really good bold flavor. I love adding cream to my coffee, and once I did, it balanced out that strong kick perfectly. The beignets were made fresh to order and took about 7 minutes to come out. They were hot, soft, and very fluffy, almost more similar to a donut than a traditional beignet. Since most of my beignet experience comes from New Orleans, Louisiana, I definitely had a different texture in mind going in. I personally wish they had been a little crispier, especially around the edges, but they were still decent and enjoyable. Overall, I had a good experience. Between the welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, good coffee, and fresh beignets, I would definitely try Le Bon Temps again without hesitation.

The young ladies just don't greet you or have the patience, or help out each other. The little guy in front me asked for a milkshake and the young lady ask in a rude way what cookie and ice cream flavor he wanted. I notice and was in disbelief in how she asked, i didn't step in only because parent wasn't around and i didn't want to cause a scene. I only remained there because I wanted to taste the hype about the ice cream. As the young boy was being help, two minutes had gone by and finally i was helped by the cashier, I was not greeted, she only said next. I ordered a scoop of strawberries & cream, and it was so GOOD! It was so creamy and soft, just the way I love it. I'll probably go back again and I hope they have different flavors to try.

The server working today 9/18 was very generous with her scooping and we deeply appreciate it. After a few samples, we settled on the Coffee Oreo and the Strawberry cream. Both were solid. Coolhaus has a roving ice cream truck but this location is inside the Farmers Market just a few blocks south of Elm Street, which is also a pretty cool place to grab lunch or a tchotchke. Come down and check it out and if you've been to the shaved ice place here, friend me with some feedback.
