Just wanted to reach out and compliment this staff member: Spyro (Greek guy that speaks 6 languages). His service last night was impeccable. I've worked my way up through every level of the restaurant industry to where I now oversee multiple locations for my brand. I came in for a date last night with another manger that is in the industry. We both had long days and wanted to enjoy each other's company at a quiet booth while keeping a side eye on the night time nfl playoff game. Spyro did a masterful job of checking on us when we needed another drink, chatting with us when the opportunities presented themselves and most importantly just leaving us alone when it was clear we were just enjoying each other's company. This is like a mom and pop version of apple bees or Chillies, Now I actually like both of those places for different reasons let's talk ambiance, there's sports memories all over it a sports town restaurant for sure. Nicole was help however, I need her to be a little bit more attentive to the table for a while I didn't see her often to ask what happened or were my fries coming. We were leaving, I wasn't pleased with my wings I was if the chicken was fried then tossed in lemon pepper and was told yes I should have said is it breaded . Glory Days has a great burger, and Monday night all burgers sell for $10.99. We enjoyed the Burger Blue with blue cheese crumbles and sautéed onions topped with balsamic drizzle and a side of onion straws. We also had a bacon burger with onion, lettuce, and tomato. The onion was perfect and beautiful! The side with that burger was the house fries. Very good! We ordered our burgers medium, and one came really pink. If you don't want pink, go with medium well or well done. The coffee also was hot and flavorful. Glory Days is a fun sports bar with lots of locals. Parking is in a large lot right out front. I stopped by Glory Days and started with the knockout shrimp, which was definitely the highlight! They were perfectly crispy, flavorful, and super saucy. I will begin by saying I know and most folks know that when you go to a bar on St. Patrick's day you may have to wait a bit. What I don't understand is how I can be sitting there for 12min watching the bartender serve others that had gotten there after me not once not twice but three times! Like am I invisible! Love the flaky breading and tasty fish-no tartar sauce or lemon needed, fries and Cole slaw delicious. Got the bourbon cake with pecans and vanilla ice cream- delicious. My suggestion is not to have 4+ servers standing by door doing nothing but checking phones and talking-is there something they could be doing. You had 4 others servers working hard. Mediocre Experience at Glory Days My partner and I visited for a post-Valentine's Day lunch, but the experience was disappointing. While the atmosphere was nice, service was slow--it took over ten minutes for our server to greet us, though she was very sweet. We ordered chips and salsa, which took surprisingly long to arrive. Our entrées--BBQ boneless wings with fries and chicken tenders with cheese fries--came quickly, but the quality was lacking. My wings were barely coated in sauce and tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp. The cheese fries had minimal cheese or bacon. We also had to grab silverware from another table, and my partner never received a requested water refill. For a $60 meal, I expected better service and food. Zero starts should be an option. Management was completely unprofessional and the manager (white guy tallish with brown hair) appeared a hostess for sitting down and simply taking a break from being on her feet. It's abundantly clear that this is a toxic work environment. The poor girl looked completely exhausted and like she just needed a break but nobody was willing to cut her any slack. On top of this she was very sweet when she greeted us and very engaged the whole time. The hostess was wonderful at her job and I still don't understand why she was publicly humiliated the way she was. The management here really needs to step up their game. The food and servers were great the fries were very crispy and our server was very kind, the only reason I am giving such a horrible review is because the staff did a wonderful job and did not deserve to be publicly shamed. read more

I went to this place a couple of weeks ago and I had the best server named Tristan! He was just the sweetest guy and gave me and my family a wonderful experience! He checked on our table and had our food come out in ample time. I came back again with a friend to find out that he had been fired!!! Please bring Tristin back! Wish I can give it a zero. Many times been down to lorton glory days, they have very bad pick up for food. Messed my order up several times. Example, I ordered bacon cheese frieze with caramelized onions. They gave me the order 10 mins after I ordered it 30 mins ago for pick up. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR MONEY!!! Everything in this restaurant needs to be changed. The managers attitudes are completely unprofessional and it is clear that this is a hostile work environment. When I walked in I immediately noticed one of the managers wearing a skin tight completely inappropriate shirt while everyone else around her was wearing a uniform. I observed her and the male manager (I am unsure of their names) yell at numerous employees for problems that did not seem to deserve what they received. My family used to love coming here for their specials which apparently they don't even have anymore. All of the servers seemed to tense up and seemed on edge whenever one of the managers was around and they frankly looked terrified. This location seriously needs some new management because the servers and hostess were all very kind but the managers (granted, I only saw two of them there could be more) need a serious attitude check they are clearly on a power trip. Also I found a hair in my food. Glory Days, be better. Update apparently the managers name are "Jayda" and "Issac" from what I gathered from other reviews I read. read more

It's decent, a local chain, not bad but certainly won't be my go-to. We decided to try some take-out on a cold rainy Saturday and I wasn't wowed. The ambiance is pretty solid though, its a bar & grill if you're not going there to feel like you're surrounded by drinking buddies idk why you're there haha. I can't speak much for the service, all I know is they were very attentive to the take-out counter which I appreciated. But we didn't get our Mac and cheese bites, they did promptly refund us for it which I appreciated though the manager is a great guy! The food on the other hand, let's dig in... I'll start with the highlights the French fries were wonderful, crisp, and well seasoned. The ribs were falling off the bone, delicious! The end was slightly burnt but thats okay it's just one little piece. Now, the chicken was a little odd... not terrible but just not my normal idea of a chicken tender. The fried shrimp were okay, nothing to write home about but also nothing really to write about haha! The crab pretzels though were a disappointment, the pretzels were soggy, the dip was extremely greasey overall it just wasn't great. I've lived in the area for over 20 years and used to come to this glory days at least a couple times a year. The experience I had 3 days ago is beyond unacceptable. I ordered my dinner at 6:30 for pickup and showed up around 7. I sat around for around 40 minutes as the host kept lying to my face saying it would be a few minutes and even had the nerve to ask me what soda I had on my order an hour in! After finally receiving my food around 8:30 (2 hours in), my fries were extremely SOGGY. The fries were honestly inedible! After I also realized that my family was waiting at home for me as dinner was scheduled for 7:30 but now we are all eating at 9pm. It's just disgusting and inhumane how the manager did not even bat an eye at the situation especially after telling her. She looked tired and unhappy to even be there! Well so was I! Don't work a job like this if you don't like it. Treat customers with respect and stop lying to them! read more

April! She's the best! The Lorton location had a power failure due to a severe storm when were served our salads. April served us complimentary guacamole, chips & salsa told us to hang out as long as we liked. She said if power came back, she'd deliver our orders to our nearby hotel. Sure enough, several hrs later, to our surprise, April called & told me (at her expense) she was door dashing our orders to our room, free of charge! The food was great! I tried the Lorton Glory Days Grill on a Sunday evening while NFL games were on. Bar area was very busy and the restaurant was moderately busy. I had a very good experience. I had tea and water, wings as appetizer, and half of rack of ribs, shrimp with chili. All the food was very hot and had good flavor. The ribs literally fell off the bone when I put my fork on them. Ribs were crispy on the outside and very moist inside. Shrimp was good as well. Staff was very attentive from the initial hostess station to the wait staff. All seem to be on top of their game! Why not 5 star: food was very good, but not the absolute best. I highly recommend the food, just not the absolute best. And the men's bathroom needed attention in a few ways. I mentioned it to the wait staff and the guy I spoke to said he'd let the manager know. I believe he did pass it on, but the bathroom looked like it needed attention for awhile. read more

Although we were seated immediately outside, nobody came to take our order for 20 minutes. No drinks, nothing. My husband went inside and asked, he was told the server was tied up inside. After another 10 minutes the server came, took our order and someone else brought out our iced tea. We ordered the 1988 steaks, with salad and a side. The salad arrived, my iceberg lettuce was brown, the hostess replaced the salad but didn't bring a fork. Dinner arrived: my medium steak was beyond well done, it was gray and dry. My husband's medium rare steak was bloody, cold red center and tasteless. A hard line of grissle went through both steaks. Dinners were delivered by two servers, neither had taken our order; I gave no idea where our waiter went. He never returned. We couldn't eat the steak. My husband tried. I gave up after I got my own A1 sauce and the bottle was empty. They charged my husband for his steak, the salad that was included, and our drinks ( iced tea and a beer). I asked to speak to management and the floor manager and kitchen manager came out. She was very "chill" and he looked wild eyed. The whole experience was extraordinarily bad. Don't eat here. It's disgusting food and the atmosphere is oddly threatening and careless. NO STARS should be an option!! Why must I give a star???? read more

As always, our lunch did not disappoint!! I had the 1/2 entree size grilled chicken salad with the citrus vinegarette ( love that dressing by the way) and a cup of clam chowder. It was full of clams and filling. My daughter had the kids cheeseburger sliders and fries and practically ate every bite. ( I may have stolen a French fry or 2) my husband had the grilled chicken pasta with the garlic cream sauce. He said it was good just wish the sauce was a little thicker. Our waiter ( I didn't get his name) was very attentive and kept our drinks filled. Pretty good restaurant that's only 2 miles from home. The servers are always friendly, food is good, price is very reasonable, portions are just right! The menu has a lot to choose from. Haven't been disappointed with anything I've had. Cobb salad and chicken Wraps are my favorite, my husband loves the pastrami sandwich, burgers are fantastic, and nachos are great! Glory Day's is your classic American sports bar and restaurant chain. Surprisingly enough, they have pretty good salads! I ordered the seasonal full-sized Winter Spinach Salad with Grilled Chicken and substituted the spinach for mixed greens. The Apple-Honey Dijon Vinaigrette perfectly complimented the various toppings in the salad, and the candied pecans added a nice crunch to the dish. My only criticism is that I wish the greens in the salad were a little fresher; however, we came right before closing, so that may explain things. I hope that they switch this salad over to their regular menu permanently! read more
