Sure that was a few decades ago, but I know what it takes to do it right and I know when people cut corners. This place is top-notch. I still long for the days of salons from the East Coast, where they offer complementary charcuterie boards with champagne and a complimentary 15 minute massage at the end of your appointments. I have never found a salon like that here in Tucson. That being said, this is the closest thing I've ever found to what I'm used to back on the east coast and I am admittedly very picky and very knowledgeable in doing things the right way when receiving nail services. From the moment you walk in, this salon is everything you could ever want in a nail experience. The atmosphere is near spotless, calm, and beautifully welcoming -- you immediately feel relaxed and taken care of. The staff is beyond professional, kind, and genuinely attentive. You never feel rushed, and they truly listen to exactly what you want. They keep the environment relaxing and dedicated to the customers great experience by not yelling and overly conversing with eachother. You are their focus. My manicure and pedicure were absolutely flawless. The attention to detail is unmatched -- every nail perfectly shaped, every cuticle cared for, every polish applied with precision. Zero bubbles - and on the nail where there was one, the technician fixed before I even saw or had to say anything. The pedicure was pure heaven: warm, relaxing, and incredibly thorough. The chairs are comfortable and have extra pillows to ensure total relaxation. I walked out feeling pampered from head to toe. The gloss shine on my nails lasted weeks. Their name says it all! Gloss for weeks! What really sets this place apart is the level of care. They treat you like more than just an appointment -- you feel like a valued guest. Clean tools, high-quality products, beautiful results, and the best customer service you could ask for. I made an appointment, but I don't really know if I needed one. It was fairly busy at noon on a Saturday, but an hour later, it emptied out quite a bit. There are about five levels of pedicures depending on what you want, so I had the second option which included a fair amount of massage. Excellent job, as was my gel mani. What I found frustrating is I really didn't expect such a large place, and they don't have a receptionist per se. One guy at the front manicure tables asked what services I needed & I told him about my appointment. He and most folks up front were wearing masks (due in part to the dip powder), so at first I really didn't know where the voice was coming from. I waited about ten minutes past my appointment time--not a big deal for me. I also did not expect to have my mani simultaneous to my pedi, but that's what happened, and I was in & out in 90 mins. It's been a long while since I consistently was getting my nails done. I'm still new in town but have tried other nail salons that just didn't impress me. I came here for the first time early Dec 2025. The staff was so kind & they offer a beverage (had white wine, limited to 1 glass only), water, soda, etc. I'm very picky about my nails but Ive been getting compliments on them nonstop. I came in for a 1045 appointment finally got started at 11, which wasn't the biggest deal. I specifically asked for a full set on my toes and that was it, no pedicure nothing else. I was forced to pick one even though I hate my feet being rubbed or touched so getting a full set is uncomfortable enough. They fell off after about 2 days....i also asked for a fill on my nails and specifically said I get acrylic and then gel polish because that's the only thing that will stay in my nails. She didn't listen and used gel X on me, fell off after 3 days. Very very disappointed. After 260$ later everything started falling off after a couple days and I couldn't believe it. read more

Blown away by the outstanding service, attentiveness to cleanliness and hygiene, and incredibly friendly staff all around. My daughter and I went for our first ever mother daughter manicure and pedicure and I'm over the moon that we chose Gloss & Glow for this special experience. We both got gelx for our manis, and she got a regular pedi and I got a gel polish regular pedi. Kevin nailed my daughter's design request, and Rachel was SO patient and kind with my more complex design request/idea. We will absolutely be coming back! Went in today for a pedicure and manicure. This was my second visit since my discovered this gem of a place. The pedicure chairs are the best that I've experienced. Most of the Salons that I've been to have chairs that hurt from the poor quality. Not this place though. Holly did a great job! Calvin did my French Dip manicure and nailed it!!!! (Pun intended ). This was my first time at this nail spa. Wayne was my nail tech. I did have an appointment originally scheduled online with someone else, but since he was available first and it was my first time I didn't mind. He was very kind, professional, we had a lovely conversation, and he did an exquisite job. Wayne went above my expectations. I originally walked in with long almond shaped nails I really disliked. I told him I wanted as short / square as possible and he accomplished that easily. He was realistic with me and told me due to my previous nail length / shape it wasn't realistic to be as short as I originally wanted/ showed him in a photo because it would probably hurt. So I told him I was fine with that if he just did his best to meet my needs. I'm so happy with the service even though I was sitting there in total for about an hour and fifteen minutes. But I am so in love with the shape and length, many people don't get that right anymore, and he did not rush the service and kept checking in. I made an appointment, but when I arrived they seemed clueless and were roaming around. They made no attempt to show me who I was seeing or any direction on choosing polish, etc. I had to ask where I should go. The woman who did my nails was the worst! She was cutting my cuticles and started to draw blood. She clearly did not know what she was doing! I had to leave. I went to the front desk to check out and was surprised to find that they tack on a fee if you are using a credit card! This is the worst salon ever! Disappointed with my experience here. It did not feel welcoming, as the technician pointed for me to go sit down and did not speak to me. This gentleman also was roughly placing my feet on the platform throughout the entire service, which made me feel uncomfortable. I honestly felt burdensome for being there even though I had made an appointment for a mani/pedicure ahead of time. Once I was done with my pedicure, the technician just gave me the receipt and that was it. The pedicure itself felt rushed. Did not speak to me or tell me to go sit down for my manicure. I felt like I was not welcomed and so after my pedicure I decided to check out as I was not instructed to sit in a chair and I did not want to aimlessly wander or ask what to do next. When I got to the desk to pay, I stood there for about 3 minutes before I was acknowledged. I am not one to interrupt others, especially while they are with other clients. I am very disappointed with my experience. I did not feel welcomed from the moment I entered and the service was not very enjoyable. I expected more from a "luxury" nail spa, especially being so new. This place is big, beautiful and clean. The staff all have impeccable attention to detail, and you can tell that they take pride in their work. My feet can quickly become dry and calloused, so I leave most salons disappointed with the results of my pedicure. That has not been my experience with this salon. The technicians at Gloss & Glow make sure my feet are sandal ready and properly cared for every time. They also did my hard builder gel manicure and my nails feel and look so much better than they did with the gel X I had from another salon. I won't go anywhere else for my mani/pedi after finding this gem! read more

Was excited to finally try gloss. The facility is very nice. I was disappointed to be upsold the minute I walked in. Unfortunately I suffer from ingrown toenails. That is not a service they provide even superficially except the manager. She came over in a rush and used larger tools than are normally used and made the whole thing more unpleasant than it has been in decades of pedicures. Further there is no discussion of cutting nails or shape. A disappointing visit. read more
